See Stunning Time-Lapse Video of the New World Trade Center ‘Freedom Tower’ Construction

More than a decade after the two main towers of the World Trade Center complex were destroyed as the result of a horrific terror attack, the main replacement structure is finally nearing completion. One World Trade Center (also known as the Freedom Tower) will be ready for visitors and businesses, alike, in 2013.
Over the past six years, day-by-day, video footage has captured the entire process of building the tower. Gizmodo has more about the astounding footage that condenses the elongated building process into two, short minutes:
This remarkable footage of One World Trade Center is a moving document of the colossal construction endeavor. Work on the mammoth building began nearly exactly six years ago tomorrow.
The construction images were captured by EarthCam, which operates a network of webcams in iconic locations all over the world. One World Trade Center is scheduled to top out at 1,776 feet next month. Construction will be completed in December, and the building will open in the spring of next year.

Why are we tolerating the Freedom Tower being called the “One World” Trade Center?
With tolerance like this, it will be easy for the One World Order to be imposed.
How many of our enemies were on the work crews that built it? Did every single person pass a strict background check? How well were they checked? Who did the checking?
This building should have never been built on the same spot as the twin towers.

On the 10th Anniversary last year, The History Channel had a three part series on the rebuilding of the World Trade Center, which will consist of several towers, arranged in a spiral configuration going up to the tallest tower, The Freedom Tower. I am an Architect who found this series so emotional, that I hope I can one day visit the completed site…..Freedom Tower is the first building of its kind, built to actually withstand a terrorist attack, and all the others will be designed that way as well……Freedom Tower is 1776 ft. tall which is the year of America’s Birth and is taller than WTC I and II….Daniel Liebskind designed the overal master plan of the site, knowing this was a burial site and a memorial to America. The new train station underground was designed to look like a cathedral of light, and was designed to act as a sun dial, where a shadow falls over the entire site on September 11 every year…..The Port Authority of NYC owns the site and the buildings, with private funders. Chinese do not own these buildings and whatever the idiotic thoughts about the idiotic Mosque being allowed to be built there, you can be assured that the new WTC will overshaddow such a hateful little mosque….I urge EVERYONE to Google the History Channel’s 3 part series. It chronicles EVERYTHING from the steel workers, whose fathers built the first WTC to the Designers and the EMOTION used to create a masterpiece.

However, I would point out that the Empire State Building, a mere 1250′ structure, was constructed in one year and 45 days, without all the high tech machinery and gadgetry that is available today. That tells me a lot about where we are at these days. Back in the day, any delayer and naysayer were told to take a hike, we have a building to build. These days, every “concerned” group clamored to get their two cents in and pitched a fit if they weren’t allowed to. Politically correct was the rule of the day (decade). Hence, ten plus years of construction time. The old saying that time is money, surely applies here.

I heard that the building is owned by the Chinese who didn’t want it to be called the Freedom Tower. Also, once the Ground Zero mosque is expanded taller, the mosque will reflect off the Freedom Tower, which has many people very upset. I don’t know for a fact “WHO” owns the Freedom Tower, but I’m repeating what I heard when I was there.

Such idiots. I‘m guessing the reason they didn’t go BIG and make them bigger than before is also because of political correctness. We wouldn’t want to boast about ourselves. Tell that to the middle east and Asian countries who seem to have a regular competition as to who can builld the tallest building!!!

The primary reason this project has taken this long is exactly the same reason the Soviet Union couldn’t do anything either – bureaucratic insanity. Ask anyone working in the field of construction and they will tell you EPA, OSHA and a thousand other government regulatory commissions are nothing short of tyrannical on a work site. It is a wonder anything gets built in this country.
The Founders knew that government regulation is a cancer to the American spirit of enterprise, entrepreneurship, liberty, and freedom and addressed intrusive government regulatory commissions in the Declaration of Independence: “He [King George] has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.” That, folks, pretty much sums up “why” it has taken more than a decade to build a building in America.

To me, the rebuilding of the/a tower is symbolic of all that is wrong/missing in our lives. It is shallow, hollow and empty.

I watched them build the towers from ground up on the Jersey side of the Hudson, as I watched them fall. Building them back as they once stood would have been a message to all that plotted to take them down.
