See Sunday’s Best Super Bowl Commercials Before They Air

For many people, Super Bowl Sunday is as much about the commercials as it is about the game. A single 30-second ad spot costs millions of dollars, meaning companies save their best for the big day. Understanding our insatiable desire for insider information, the crew over at Business Insider has put together a collection of the 24 best Super Bowl commercials viewers will see on Sunday.
Here‘s the site’s tease:
So instead of waiting until Sunday — when everyone at your party will only distract you from the commercials that everyone will be talking about at work on Monday — check them out now and tell us your favorites. (We’ve also included some “teaser” ads that are being used to promote the main ad that will air during the game.)
And here are some of the best ads. Go to Business Insider to see the rest.
My personal favorite, the four-feet tall Darth Vader Volkswagen spot:
There’s a new secret government agency and a “test baby:”
And you can always bet GoDaddy.com will produce a steamy-ish ad:
Chevy and “Transformers” has a dual commercial that might also become a hit:
Don‘t pretend you haven’t been tempted to do this same thing:
And finally, these E-Trade baby “outtakes” didn’t make it into the final Super Bowl commercial, but many (like me) can’t wait for the final version:
See all 24 ads (some of which are “teasers”) at Business Insider.

Posted on February 4, 2011 at 10:15amI have to admit that I used to love football until it was woosified. I played football in high school and think it was the greatest sport to play. How in a sport based on physical toughness do you ever hit someone to hard? Thats like telling Mike Tyson in his prime that he has to hit half as hard as he could. LOL Now the commercials are the best part of the Stuper Bowl. Yes Stuper Bowl not super.

Posted on February 4, 2011 at 10:07amHere’s the run down: VW, cute & clever, a winner. HomeAway, moronic, I have no idea what they really sell, nor do I care. GoDaddy, sleezy commercials been done by them before. Makes the company look immature, nothing a serious business would consider. Chevy commercial, I swear I recognize the marketing genius/commercial making group that worked on the AMC Pacer, the Studebaker Lark, and the 1960-61 DeSoto ads. Did a lot for those companies too. E-Trade, cute, but a one shot deal. I could see this commercial getting old very, very, fast. The winner, VW.

Posted on February 4, 2011 at 10:03amI wonder how many offensive and demeaning “Men as ugly, stupid, or both” commercials there will be this year. If aliens visited from outer space and judged us based on our commercials they would think males are stupid, unattractive, need rooms called “caves” to live in, and need woman to help us through ever aspect of their lives. This advertising trend is getting old.

Posted on February 4, 2011 at 9:57amWHY????????
I won’t see them during the Stupor Bowl, and I won’t watch them now.
Any company willing to waste that kind of money on a TV commercial should be ashamed!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted on February 4, 2011 at 9:53amLoved the Transformer commercial, what a blast! Bad thing though, Church starts at 6PM so I’ll have to watch the game afterward so to all you who like to tell the results of the game before those of us get to watch the recording…keep it to yourselves!

Posted on February 4, 2011 at 9:50amI will just simply state, no comment, as the super bowl honestly holds little of my attention; hope those of the Blaze followers who like the game have the best of times, and may it be a great game for all to enjoy. Best wishes.

Posted on February 4, 2011 at 9:47amI’m watching the game at home with my wife, mother-in-law, father-in-law, my 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son. Some of the commercials will likely proved awkward and uncomfortable. I hate to send the kids out of the room every time there’s a game break. I like GoDaddy.com (some of the best customer service I’ve ever had), but the blatant sexified portrayal of women in their ads isn’t helping them, nor my being a good father.

Posted on February 4, 2011 at 10:40amI’m with you TEDDRUNK. “The Force” Volkswagen commercial was the best of the lot by far. The eTrade babies get second place, but I think you’re right about it being a one-shot deal as the savvy talking baby idea is wearing thin. I give Doritos an “F.” The others are forgettable. Just my opinion.

Posted on February 5, 2011 at 5:55amA NON COMMERCIAL GAME would be great. Of course I know the guys who put on the commercials are the ones who pay most of the tab for the Superbowl games,.So, the commercials are here to stay, for now. I guess I’m the exception but, commercials are commercials regardless of when they are shown. Isn’t it their dislike of commercials the main reason most people have satellite systems with recording programs that enables them to skip over the commercials ?
