See the Flying Church the Russian Military Reportedly Can Parachute Into War Zones

The Russian military has reportedly created one of the world’s most innovative churches. The unique house of worship can allegedly be parachuted into battle zones to provide worship services to military personnel. It may very well be the world first flying, parachuting church — and with some pretty astounding amenities (not to mention paratrooper priests).

Russian Military Reportedly Creates Church That Can Be Parachuted Into War Zones

According to Russia Today (RT), these churches consist of an army tent, mini-theater, diesel power source, air conditioner and a refrigerator — all of the elements needed to comfortably enjoy the worship process. The chapel is apparently put on the ground with an airborne platform that is typically used for heavy military equipment. RT continues:

As heated debate continues in the Russian government over rearmament and military spending, some enterprising army officials have found a way out. The airborne church is reportedly needed because there are special sacraments in the Orthodox Church that demand a substantial number of utensils.

Now, here’s the real kicker. In addition to offering army personnel with a parachuting church, it seems chaplains will also be asked to take part in military training this month.

According to RT, “They will not only practice parachute jumping, but also study the construction of a platform carrying the brand new airborne church.” The Sun adds, “The priests will undergo a week‘s intensive training in Russia’s Ryazan region before parachuting in to areas of conflict.”

There’s no official word regarding when this alleged church project will be fully operational, but reports indicate that it may soon be ready for use.

They could make one for DC to drop on the White House but it would have to be a mini-mosque and not a Christian chapel!

WOW! Is this the new Russia? I would like to see the test data on this one. Probably took them about a week to put decorations on a mobile home and take the picture. I would hope they don’t require the Priests to be in the box when it is dropped. It would save a parachute. If the Supreme Soviet bureau approves this it will be “mandatory” to get your ticket pinched by the Priest. What a country!

Did you ever do paperwork incorrectly? Should you be in prison for years as a punishment?
As a non-JW you are not seeing what the Russian authorities and police are doing.
You are correct though in saying JW’s are growing. In spite of the opposition.

I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Russia from 2006 – 2008. My church is full recognized, I promise you. But you are correct, foreign proselytizing missionaries of the Jehovah’s Witnesses church were outlawed while I was over there (as well as many foreign missionaries from other churches). Russia has a three strike and you’re out policy for foreign churches. Most churches have received their three strikes and have been kicked out. Russians who belong to those churches can preach opening, but foreigners cannot. The Jehovah’s Witnesses got one of their strikes for constantly preaching in restricted cities (I know that because I met many of them preaching in cities that were off limits to them). Pretty much all churches are persecuted. I myself was arrested in late 2006 for legally advertising for the free English club we taught. The funny thing is, the police had advised us as to where to stand to advertise! However, now I have mugshots floating around somewhere in the Russian prison system files. The FSB (police) also came and raided our house and confiscated “paraphernalia” – (our religious materials, pamphlets and movies). Fun experiences in the Soviet Union – trust me, the Soviet Union never truly fell. Anyone who believes that the USSR was actually disbanded is out of their mind.

      Doctor,

Prophecy is found in God’s Word, the Bible.
Should we ignore prophecy in the fear of making a mistake or figuring wrong? Or do we learn from the misunderstanding we once had and adjust our viewpoint? Knowledge is built on research and application, then in time, if we persist we can come to an accurate understanding.

Don’t be critical of the process. Were you born with complete understandings of the world around you, or did you acquire knowledge gradually?

A Doctors Labor Is Not My Right,

The first prophecy found in the Bible is at Genesis 3:15
The ending words of prophecy are found in Revelation 22:18-21

If we understand those prophecies and what they mean, then we can begin to understand all the other’s, and vice-versa. Before you condemn, try to respect the efforts of others who work and do research to understand these and all the other prophecies from Genesis through Revelation.

You are so right. I was contemplating the irony of Russia, bastion of a godless conmmunist regime parachuting churches while this administration in the free united states of America – America founded on biblical principles – is doing everything it can to take morality and conscience out of our military. Examples: removed the cross on a chapel in Afganistan that was a comfort to the people serving, and had been so long on the structure it had an outline imprinted, how about no bibles in Walter Reed, How about removing teaching “Just War Theory” by all means we can’t have a military that would respect morality., lets not forget the idea where it was voted not to condem beastiality. Open homosexuality now and not just a tolerance of perversion but an acceptance of it. It is so sad the calculated efforts to corrupt the moral fiber of our military personel. I pray that the majority regardless of branch of service are decent, moral and godly men and women who love this country and are loyal to the constitution and would not compromise it regardless of the evil that is rearing its ugly head everywhere.
Oh and on the subject of the homosexual agenda which is to embrace every form of filth and perversion without having to deal with the morality. Here is a great paper giving an overview of what is really driving this and its history. Its all based on the lie of “born gay” redefining sodomy…

I simply can’t ignore the irony. For 70+ years the USSR did all it could to abolish any form of religion in their lands. Within 20 years from the fall of the Soviet Union, It’s now raining churches in Russia, while our current administration is doing everything it can to minimize U.S. churches and their authority here in our lands.

I‘m beginning to think there’s some natural law that requires a world balance of freedom and communism – As communism is reduced in one area, it has to rise in another, to keep some odd and perverted world balance.

As a lifelong, but soft, A-Theist I’m no fan of any superstition. I don‘t give a hoot if ’In god we trust’ is on my money – regardless of what’s stamped on my bills and coinage, its value is falling faster than the airborne Russian churches. Those four words are unlikely to save it. The ten commandments, on government, buildings don’t seem to weaken them structurally, nor do they burn my eyes out as I enter those buildings. As Tom Jefferson said so long ago, ”A man’s religion neither picks my pocket nor breaks my bones”. Well… I guess he never met a radical Muslim.
