See the Moment an NYC 8-Year-Old Was Shot in the Shoulder by a Stray Bullet

Eight-year-old Armando Bigio was just perusing the chips section at a Bronx bodega on Tuesday when he began spilling blood onto the ground. Why? He had just been shot by a stray bullet.

“All of a sudden, we heard a shot,” the boy’s mother, Ely Flores, 31, told the New York Daily News. “I called out for my son. … I was screaming hysterically.”

Bigio, who calmly grabbed his shoulder and still managed to walk a little after the injury, yelled to let Flores know he was okay. In fact, he later apologized for getting blood on the floor.

“I heard screaming,” Mahmood Abdulrub, the store manager, told the Daily News. “The mom cried for her son. I see this cute little boy walking over slowly – holding his left shoulder.”

Abdulrub, who sat the boy down and tried to stop the bleeding, said “He was so polite.”

“He looked up at me with his big googly eyes and said, ‘Thank you, sir.’”

“He kept telling me he had to spit up blood,” Abdulrub explained. “He was worried about spitting blood on my floor. I kept telling him not to worry about it. … It was crazy. This little boy had just been shot and he still remembered his manners.”

The entire incident was caught on a security camera. It shows Bigio and his mother walking into the store, the young boy wandering over to the chips section and then the moment the bullet hit him.

You are pathetic. So are you saying that it makes it ok for the kid to be shot just because he is over weight? One thing for sure they could give you a full lobotomy and you would not lose an ounce of weight.

What the H*LL is wrong with you???

You are making fun of a seriously injured child, for being chubby. He’s in the hospital, fighting for his life.
He has a punctured lung, a fractured rib, spinal cord damage, and a bullet hole in his shoulder, and all you do is make fun of him for being chubby.

Would you have been as brave, calm, and polite as this little boy, if the same thing had happened to you? I think not.

But what many of you fail to realize, and I’m not being insensitive about this… is that tubby wouldnt have been shot if he wasnt over by the door pawing at a wall of potato chips. The mother might have well shot the kid herself if she let him get that morbidly obese (which need I remind people leads to yes, even fatalities among children as well as adults).

Hopefully the kid is ok and the mother learns to take care of her kid properly.

So, where is Micheal Bloomberg on this? Everyone should be carrying, so that criminals get what they deserve. Ya, I probably would have pulled my gun out and shot the person that was escaping the drive-by-shooting, but only if appeared deliberate though. hey Michael, do you think the police can protect your citizens? Nah, but you do not care about them, nor the facts concerning illegal guns in possession of criminals. You would rather put a nurse and a MARINE in prison for 3 years. Michael Bloomberg, you sir, are the criminal.

All that gun control in NYC is really effective (sarcasm). Dense urban living turns its inhabitants into stressed out, short fused people. Add to it decades of liberal policies that create a welfare state and poor education. What it does is create a highly condensed zoo of human savages. That is why the liberal elites want gun control. They don’t want to be shot in the street by the savages they created.

What is stupid is trying to legislate your own brand of morality upon everyone else and then acting surprised when black markets and violence take the place of the corner drug store or apothecary. I don’t use any drugs outside of those accepted as legal (caffeine, alcohol, and some believe sugar), but I don’t think that you should put a person in prison to be taken care of on the taxpayer dime where he/she can be turned from a functional drug user (akin to functioning alcoholics) into a hardened criminal who doesn’t care about anyone else anymore because everyone else though they had it within their power to take from him years of his life.

Now, if a person commits violence or uses force upon another person, then let the law deal with it. Whether or not the person committed such acts under the influence. There should be no difference between a drunk crossing into oncoming traffic and killing a family and someone who is suicidal doing it on purpose. But to say that all people who use drugs are killers and criminals is a fraudulent practice that has made us the number one jailor in the world. Not even China has more prisoners and they will jail you for having 2 children or speaking out against the gov’t. Not to mention holding an unapproved church service.

The truly ignorant never know that they are ignorant. So I guess we can‘t fix you because you’ll never acknowledge that you are broken.

I’m constantly amazed by how ineffective bullets are against the human body. I saw footage of a small kid getting shot with an M4 right to the center of his chest and he was still able to walk around and cry as if he was just stung by a bee. The soldiers who accidentally shot him just sat him down and put bandages on his entry and exit wounds and he survived just fine. I wouldn’t be survived if this kid got shot with 9mm ball ammo. 9mm and 5.56mm ball ammo needs to go. It’s way too weak.

Do you know why the military uses those rounds? The point is to take the soldier out of battle, get shot with two 5.56 bullets and youre not gonna want to be fighting much longer. Now it takes 2 men to get the guy out of the battle, now theres 3 men out of the battle and that guy who was taken out now needs to be treated how many men need to treat his wounds? Take men out of battle=winning the battle. If you were to get shot with two 7.62 the chance of you dying is high and when you die on the battle field nobody has to get you off the battle field.

Here we see another case of the effectiveness of Mayor Bloominidiot’s gun ban. If gun bans like these truly worked this kid would never have been shot. The thing is they don’t work a criminal who gets a gun is still a criminal but if a law abiding citizen who gets a gun to protect himself gets hit with felonies. If a guy who knows he‘ll get life if he’s caught won’t care about another forty years added to his sentence.
