Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is known for her academic and studious nature. But, did you know that the former George W. Bush administration official is also a major football fan? While she’s discussed her penchant for the sport (particularly her love for the Cleveland Browns) in the past, she’s taken her devotion to new heights as a model in a new NFL apparel ad.
CBS has more about her participation in the fascinating campaign (for a full list of those depicted in the ad, click here):
…Rice, sporting a Josh Cribbs jersey, appears in a new campaign for NFL apparel that targets women. [...]
The campaign also includes other celebrities representing other NFL teams. Tennis star Serena Williams claims the Dolphins as her own, and Melania Trump and Suzanne Johnson (wife of owner Woody Johnson) are decked out in Jets gear (oddly, neither is wearing No. 15. Blasphemy.)
Rice announced her participation on Twitter, where she wrote, “Supporting the @NFL and showing my passion for the @OfficialBrowns! Can’t wait for the season to start!”
Just weeks ago, some were pondering whether Rice would be selected as Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s running mate. While that’s clearly not going to come to fruition, NFL fashion model is certainly an unexpected, yet fun-filled, turn.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 10:51pmRelax dude. Just because a story doesn’t deserve our full attention, doesn’t mean it ought to get none. You know the old saying; All work and no play makes jack a dull boy. Not all stories have to be (nor really should) be absolutely hardline and serious and I’d hardly say that Condi in a browns jersey will cause brainwashing. I’m sure you do things for fun too, so just relax, ok. :)

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 2:00pmAs a lifelong Browns Fan, I am glad to see Condi modelling a Brown’s Jersey. . .one thing you find out about Brown’s Fans, is that We Love Our Browns. . .always have, always will. . .win, lose or draw, we still fill the stadium for every game, we do not abandon them like others have done to ‘their’ teams, when they lose. . .even when Art Modell and Baltimore ripped our hearts out, we had faith that the Browns would be back. . .and they will.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 8:52amthe NFL is dying politics and political correctness been killing it for a decade or more. Might as well call it socialist football. Couple the politic being brought into the sport with the laudry list of felons that actually play it and I gave up on it.

Posted on August 16, 2012 at 9:36amI am with you. The NFL is too politically correct. The lawsuit brought by the former players was the final straw for me. Unfortunately, I can not get the rest of my family on board with turning off the idiot box.
