“How do we understand this president and his time in office?” narrator Tom Hanks asks. “Do we look at the day’s headlines or do we remember what we, as a country, have been through?”
Yep. It’s finally here. We know you’ve been anxious to see the trailer for the upcoming Hollywood-produced Barack Obama documentary.
So here it is. Watch the trailer via barackobama.com:
The best part of this documentary (other than the fact that it’s being directed by the same guy who brought you An Inconvenient Truth) is the fact that it promises to tell the story of America’s experience with President Obama via “those who saw it happen,” meaning David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, Austan Goolsbee, etc., etc. Because who better to explain “the road we’ve traveled” than the president’s top advisers and administration officials?
As the trailer unfolds, we see images of the president looking very serious as he and a handful of his top advisers talk about the economy and – then we see helicopters going after Bin Laden? And then it’s over.
Wait. What? That was an awfully abrupt change of topic. So abrupt, in fact, that we are not alone in noticing it:
Indeed, based on the trailer’s messaging, Mr. York‘s summation doesn’t seem that far off.

Other than the sound of crickets the most I’ve got back is “he preserved Cheney policies” and some weird chittering about “having faith in the courts”. Let me add what Secretary Gates said about the way the Obama adminstration handled the killing of OBL.

This was written while Joe Plugs Biden was blabbing about a SEAL team that’s not even meant to officially exist and Obama spent a week spiking the footable on every TV talk show he could find -a month later Gates retired and was replaced by party hack Leon Panetta..who not coincindently appears on the propganda film we’re seeing now.
