SEIU, Stern Deny Investigation

According to liberal blog site Talking Points Memo, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and its former leader, Andy Stern, are “flatly denying”SEIU, Stern Deny Investigation reports of an ongoing federal investigation.

According to the Associated Press, the FBI and U.S. Department of Labor are investigating the union on corruption accusations, including a $175,000 advance Stern accepted for a book deal in 2006 and his approval for a contract to pay another union official who reportedly performed no actual work.

But in comments to TPM, the union is denying the very existence of an investigation:

“The stories appearing today in the L.A. Times and the on AP are simply false. I have absolutely no reason to believe, and not the slightest indication, that I am being investigated by federal authorities with respect to Alejandro Stephens, or A Country That Works, or for that matter anything else,” Stern said in a statement.

SEIU spokeswoman Michelle Ringuette said, “To our knowledge, this is flat out false.”

Ringuette told TPM that the book deal had an “airtight” contract to protect against conflict of interest, and said Stern didn’t receive any royalties for books sold to the union. She also said that the union had cooperated in the federal investigation of Stephens more than a year ago.

In a statement, she said the union has been a target of “disgruntled former union officials.”

Instead, an SEIU official who spoke to TPM is pointing the finger at the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW), claiming the union “has had a long beef with the SEIU.”

The NUHW began as a southern California local of the SEIU, but after a feud, broke off from the SEIU. The two have engaged in bitter battles for the membership of local health care workers and have gone to court.

A spokesperson for the NUHW, said it’s “really not our story.”

“It’s a shame that they want to blame other people,” the spokesperson said. “We don’t have anything to say about the story.”

    I do not doubt that the F.B.I is investigating Andy Stern and the SEIU. I‘m sure they’re guilty of corruption and countless other crimes. The SEIU owns Obama, and I‘m sure he’ll do whatever he can to make this disappear.

    These guys use the old Steve Martin excuse… Uh,, I forgot!? Its convenient and doesn’t imply true intent. They should pull a full audit on all agencies associated with the white house as part of a standard vetting process. I am quite certain they do in some capacity but this whitehouse doesn’t report the activity, they just use it against the company or organization like leverage to get what they want. It is corruption in the tradition of the most famous historic marxist and communist governments. Its an effective tool to acquire power.

    Guys you have to understand… they have sacked the quarterback and they are fumbling around trying to grab the ball. Soon they will have the football (you and me) unless you get out there and cheer on our team by voting at the polls this Nov 2nd. Get your friends and nieghbors, and their friends and neighbors, call your family and tell them to do the same thing. It will be up to us to save this nation and there is very little time.

    Vote for the TEA Party vetted candidates
    Vote for the Constutional candidates
    Vote for the Concervative candidates

    VOTE or be subjects of the empire once called the U.S.A.

    PS. Personally I have been looking at Ron Pauls platforms and I like what I see when it comes to the way he would re-organize the federal government and our relationships with the FED and taxes.

    I really don’t think this is anything. Obama will never let this man go down for anything. One wave of the imperial hand and it vanishes off of their investigation list. The enemy often tries to build credibility this way. Classic misdirection. Look i’m looking at the bad guy.. damn we officially didn’t find anything… now he smells better.This man is trash and he’s looking to create the Obama youth program. 12 million jobs for age 16 to 24 and all they will have to do for the paycheck is attend classes on how wonderful redistribution is. Then they will lower the voting age and tell the 12 million that they can keep their 14k jobs if they just vote for obama. After all, why should a responsible government employed citizen that is “Serving” their country not be allowed to vote?

      I have a feeling there is going to be some violence at this event. If not between the competing unions then I wouldn’t be surprised if someone stages a violent event and try and blame it on the Tea Party. That’s just the way they work. Did not Hitler stage an attack on a German radio station and blame it on Polish rebels as an excuse to attack Poland?

      Does that really sound that far fetched a statement to anyone with a brain? I know they have been attaching human tissue to rats for years to have them grow new skin/ears/etc. Have seen research to grow new human teeth inside rats. Who is to say this woman didn’t go to some vet school/research lab/read some report where scientists were growing brain/spinal tissue in rats to be used to replace damaged tissue in people, and just left off the word tissue under the pressure of being on national tv?

      Andy Stern is a psychopathic liar and a boomer baby who was dropped on his head quite a few times. Back then, it was a tried and true manner of aborting after the birth. Somehow this guy didn’t expire….and we Americans are stuck with the afterbirth of this evil entity. Why are these people *(Andy Stern, Bill Ayers, Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, Raum Emmanuel) even bothering to live IN the U.S.? If I was soooo against the place where I hang my hat….I would find a more suitable place to hang my hat, where people thought and lived “like me” and therefore, my comfort level would be leveled in my favor. How you gonna try to go where everyone is NOT LIKE YOU….and try to make them convert to being JUST LIKE YOU? You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time. It is just the law of averages that tells me that you, Andy Stern, are messin’ with the wrong people.

      We Americans know who you are, now that Glenn Beck has schooled us. We have been made aware of how you have slithered onto the scene, once again, trying to destroy “good”. We Americans are not going to allow you to do this. If you haven’t noticed, we are rallying against you and you can’t do a dam thing about it.

      You are failing again….you and Bill Ayers, the bomber who bombed one of our government buildings. Why he didn’t go to prison for life for that event alone, is beyond me. And now Ayers is teaching our children. Indoctrinating them? Are the parents of these children aware of his presence in that college?

      I have just made the decision to take on another job so that my grandson can go to private school. Barack Insane Obama…..mmmm mmmm mmmm, is indroctinating all of our public school children, just as Hitler did in Germany.

      Singing songs TO HIM…and ABOUT HIM! Next we will see his picture hanging in the hallways at the elementary schools. Ya know, like Mao did, and Hitler did and other terrrorists countries do.

      Go to HELL STERN…..you should be arrested/deported/stripped of your citizenship and sent to any ole’ communist country who would take you.

      I will stop here. I could go on and on but I don’t want to hog up all the room on this page. I think you guys get my drift.
