Self-Proclaimed ‘King of the Birthers’ Announces Bid for President

The man who many news outlets credit for rumors surrounding President Barack Obama’s place of birth and religious identity is reportedly planning a run for the White House in 2012.

Andy Martin, the perennial candidate who ran for President Obama‘s former Senate seat in 2010 and sued the state of Hawaii for access to Obama’s birth records announced his candidacy Wednesday in New Hampshire, opting to run for the nation’s highest office on a “birther” platform. The LA Times reports:
Speaking on WTPL radio, Martin cited the stated intention of Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie to settle questions about whether Obama was born in the state as one motivating factor.
As one of the first candidates to announce his candidacy for the White House, Martin said he will force a broader discussion of the issue.
“I’m going to have a tremendous impact on the presidential election, not because I’m the frontrunner. Clearly I’m not,” he said. “But I’ll be driving the agenda in the Republican Party.”
The so-called “birther” movement already had a serious impact in the political landscape in the 2010 elections, Martin said, because “when you doubt the legitimacy of the leader, it undermines the Democratic Party.”
Martin, who calls himself the “king of the birthers,” said he actually believes Obama was born in Hawaii, as has been verified by the state with a Certificate of Live Birth. But he believes the White House is blocking the release of the president’s full birth certificate because it could contain embarrassing information.
“My campaign doesn’t say he was born here or he was born there, it says produce the facts,” he said. “Tell the truth to the American people. If you want our confidence, if you want our sons and daughters … to die for your policies, we have to trust you.”
New Hampshire holds the earliest presidential primary every four years and also boasts some of the simplest filing requirements for mounting a campaign. Martin’s formal announcement took place at the Legislative Office Building near the state Capitol in Concord.
Martin’s news comes on the heels of an announcement from Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie that he would press for the release of President Obama’s birth records to put the “birther” debate to rest. Martin says that he believes Obama was born in Hawaii, but believes the Obama family refuses to release the records because they may contain controversial information.
“He’s opened up a can of worms,” Martin said of the governor.
Martin has run for a number of offices in the past in Illinois, Connecticut and Florida on the Republican, Democratic and Independent tickets. He’s also been sanctioned in federal court for filing hundreds of lawsuits and was found unfit to practice law by the Illinois Supreme Court. Still, he insists he’ll put up a tough fight in 2012.
“I’ve got a stronger resume … than any of these blow-dried candidates that are out there,” he said. “We’re going to give them hell, as Harry Truman said.”

Barry Soebarkah.. It apparently is Indonesian. Maybe given to him when Lolo Soetoro adopted him?… It seems Barry changes names and citizenships to comply with his needs….

It also predates Hawaii as a “State” which it was not at the time. Al Hawaii resicents became US citizens when Hawaii became a State in ‘62. Anyone could declare citizenship in Hawaii regardless, for many years after.
Report Post »One issue is that Obama’s travels with a non-US visa. The US does not provide for dual citizenship! Something Obama is desperately trying to change with ‘illegal immigration” scams (retroactive at that). He has yet to provide basic information such as college transcripts and the basis for his ‘scholarships’, and the birth cert. We know he is a liar, even to the point that he was disbarred in the 90s.
He is President because of his ability to deceive, lie outright and above all because he can read a teleprompter like an alinky radical/mail order ‘minister’/Union organizer should. In addition his ethnicity was a vital component for the cover that the race card can provide. He is divisive and dismissive – something he points to in others. Political “smelt it dealt it” as is the alinsky way..

Too young, no experience, past is sketchy, cover ups with who paid for pricey education, place of birth, what he was telling the people he was going to do for them, who he ‘hung’ with, who he admired, who shaped his future, who he married, etc.
Trust in your gut! This is one of many ways God communicates to you.

You birthers are idiots. He was born here for God’s sake. He may have had a Non- US Citizen as a Father, but he was born here no doubt.
It doesn’t matter where Obama was born, his father wasn’t a US Citizen. The U.S. Constitution says the President must be a Natural Born Citizen – Not just a citizen or native born – there is a huge difference. It is based on the Law of Nations and confers rights and obligations to a country through the father. So if Obama‘s father wasn’t a US Citizen, which he said in his own book, then Obama can never be eligible for President. That also makes Glenn Beck somewhat of a hypocrite when he says the Constitution is the most important document and divinely inspired yet he refuses to even look into the issue.
“The term Natural born Citizen appears in our Constitution, in Article 1, Section 2, with these words, “No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.”
Before the Constitution the closest reference we have to Natural Born Citizen is from the legal treatise “the Law of Nations,” written by Emerich de Vattel in 1758. In book one chapter 19,§ 212. Of the citizens and natives.
“The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. The society is supposed to desire this, in consequence of what it owes to its own preservation; and it is presumed, as matter of course, that each citizen, on entering into society, reserves to his children the right of becoming members of it. The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children; and these become true citizens merely by their tacit consent. We shall soon see whether, on their coming to the years of discretion, they may renounce their right, and what they owe to the society in which they were born. I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.”
John Jay’s letter to Washington address this dual and permanent loyalty to England that Blackstone introduces. To George Washington, President of the Constitutional Convention, Jay writes “Permit me to hint whether it would not be wise and seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of foreigners into the administration of our national government ; and to declare expressly that the command in chief of the American army shall not be given to, nor devolve on any but a natural born citizen.”
in 1795 the Congress amended the Naturalization Act of 1790. The Naturalization Act of 1795, which was also signed by George Washington, recognized Blackstone’s commentaries on English Common Law, making children born overseas in the lands under British rule, British Subjects. Even if their parents were American. This act removed the words natural born from children born overseas of American parents, so that no other potentate could lay claim to this person, and thus establish “a presence of influence” in the Executive Branch. It was the intent of our Founding Fathers to “naturalize at birth” these children, but not give them the status “natural born citizens.” Also in this act of 1795, we see the importance of complete allegiance to the United States for all people naturalized, as this is the first appearance of the oath of allegiance “to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty whereof such alien may at that time be a citizen or subject.” This oath is still in effect today.
Thomas Jefferson, who penned Virginia’s Citizenship statue in 1779, “Be it enacted by the General Assembly, that all white persons born within the territory of this commonwealth and all who have resided therein two years next before the passing of this act, and all who shall hereafter migrate into the same; and shall before any court of record give satisfactory proof by their own oath or affirmation, that they intend to reside therein, and moreover shall give assurance of fidelity to the commonwealth; and all infants wheresoever born, whose father, if living, or otherwise, whose mother was, a citizen at the time of their birth, or who migrate hither, their father, if living, or otherwise their mother becoming a citizen, or who migrate hither without father or mother, shall be deemed citizens of this commonwealth, until they relinquish that character in manner as herein after expressed: And all others not being citizens of any the United States of America, shall be deemed aliens.” As can be seen Jefferson is equating citizenship of the child to that of the parents, and not the land.

Posted on December 30, 2010 at 10:34amWhat’s interesting is that this man, Barack Obama (we don’t know when he changed his name from Barry Soetoro to Barack Obama), has spent $1.7 million preventing anyone from seeing the long-form copy of his birth certificate. What is he hiding?
It’s atrocious that this man sits in the White House and he is the Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces, and all that that entails, and yet we still don’t know who he is!
He has sealed all his records, including his college records, his medical records and, of course, his birth certificate. Noone has really come forward and said they know this man from his college days even. I find this amazing that he can seal all his records and not allow the American people to have access to them.
But as I have said before, I think where he was born is irrelevant when you consider that this man was taken to Indonesia by his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, and he was adopted by his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, and enrolled in school there as an Indonesian citizen and a Muslim. That document has been made available. You couldn’t go to school in Indonesia at that time without being an Indonesian citizen, and dual citizen was not permitted at that time in America. So, Barry Soetoro, must have reliquished any citizenship he had at that time, whether it was British (his father was British as Kenya was a British colony at the time of his birth) or American.
So, when Barry Soetoro returned to America he must have returned as an Indonesian citizen and he would have had to go through the immigration process just like anyone else, or enroll in school as a foreign student.
Also, when did he change his name from Barry Soetoro to Barack Obama? We don’t know. Is that why he can no longer practice law? Because he never said he had an alias on his law application?
There is also the issue of him, and his mother, having used numerous social security numbers. One was used of a Connecticut man who had died many years prior to Obama’s birth.
There’s so many questions about this man, and no answers, that it is unbelievable that he has been allowed to become POTUS at all.
The onus lies on the Democratic Party, the Democratic National Convention, the Electorial College and the Congress, and, of course, Barack Obama, who feels that he is entitled and doesn’t need to be accountable to anyone, let alone the American people.
The onus also lies on the government media that has successfully covered all this up and demonized anyone who has asked the real questions, and covered up the numerous law suits out there as well. Knowingly or unknowingly.
The truth will prevail in the end. That’s for sure. Because until he divulges all his information it’s not going to go away. That we are still talking about it two years after he has become POTUS is a travesty of immense proportions.

The timing, the people who are bringing it and the sudden frequency point toward a central effort to acquaint the public to the issue and focus attention. Remember that MSNBC is the major source of the birther rhetoric to the public- NOT Fox News.
Chris Matthews has continually made the false implications that the Tea Party and Republicans are behind the birther movement. He and those like him have been the ones pushing this line.
I hope that someone like Brietbart, Brent Bozell and the Naked Emperor News have plenty of archived material to counter this sudden planned birther chatter.

Something else is happening or being covered up and this is intended to catch your eye. The Birth Certificate is not the issue. It’s the “Topic” they want you to focus on.
Look at the other hand. Suddenly there is a push to Christianity by Obama according to an article here on the Blaze. I think if you “look at the other hand” you’ll see something else is happening or has happened.
Has anyone mentioned the college transcripts, college application, or who paid for his education?
Read Beck and the many authors he endorses, but you also have to force yourself to read the writings of Obama, Soros, Ayres, and many others.
Obama said he was poor and lived a hard life in the city. Question: Where did the law degree money come from and how did he qualify if it was a loan, and why were the records sealed? I rather see his college application than listen to the planned rhetoric about a Birth Certificate.
Just my opinion, but I’ll be “watching the other hand” because this is B.S.

There’s also evidence that, at one time, his mother should have, technically, lost her citizenship and this would have also applied to her minor son. I‘m not an expert in such matters but it seems strange that they simply didn’t come forth with all the evidence immediately to settle the issue.
Of course, the opponents will say they shouldn’t be expected to put effort forth to quell nonsense… but it seems to me that some of the questions that have been raised (especially those regarding his mother losing citizenship) are legitimate and should be examined.

Really, it should be no big deal. If he wasn’t born in a hospital, it is no crime. Many people don‘t get born in a hospital and don’t have exact hospital birth records but his mother or others at the birth have memories that they can share.

Posted on December 30, 2010 at 10:21am@ dustyluv The term “Birthers” has become a catchall label given to anyone that questions the place of birth, the circumstances surrounding the birth (i.e. when, where, parentage), the application of the term ‘Natural Born Citizen’, the issuance of passports and disclosure of college transcripts.
I too can not think of a rational reason why he has not disclosed these documents. If you can give me a logical answer, I would probably stop having doubts. However please don’t cite privacy, as there is no expectation of privacy of your personal history when running for public office.
Added to that is what I remember my father always saying, “where there is smoke, there is fire.”

But i submit to you that the political left spends so much time on the argument because it is the ONLY way to argue that obama is American in any fashion. He clearly is Anti-American by his own documentation, actions and associations!

If there is no doubt, then what’s the big deal? Dustyluv sounds touchy on this subject. I thought this was a forum for discussion. I don‘t know anything for sure but when I hear all this fuss about BHO’s birth, I’m just asking? Maybe his parents are dead, I don’t know but there must be a relative or somebody that heard about him being born somewhere. There must have been a witness to his birth. He didn’t hatch from an egg so is that too much to ask? Maybe that someone should step forward to say something. He’s the President for gosh sake. Why would anyone try to hide such a thing.

Posted on December 30, 2010 at 9:33pmAntifa – Not to ruffle feathers, but if the grandparents lived in Hawaii at the time of birth – at least this is common practice in my home town/state that grandparents would list out-of-state births of their grandchildren. No birth certificate or proof needed. Not saying this is the case, but it wouldn’t require “going back in time” – just a set of proud grandparents wanting to let people know their family tree had a new branch. I‘m not a ’birther‘ but I do have the same ’concerns‘ as to why everything is so covered up if there’s nothing to hide.

People put marriage announcements in their hometown papers all the time. I think that if his college records were released you will see that he got a scholarship because he was a foreign student.
