Posted on September 5, 2010 at 12:15pmFunny how ALL of us who can READ actually understand this and have been saying this for MONTHS!! They totally designed this to fail with all the most expensive insurance costs and taxes up front, forcing private insurance rates through the ROOF and eventually out of reach for all, making the fines actually the only affordable solution for businesses as well as individuals. So fewer people have coverage as the government diverts the money from the insurance companies to themselves and they eventually get their single payer, government run system in the end! Thank you for having the guts to tell the TRUTH. Now, watch your back!

Posted on September 5, 2010 at 11:59amTo say that Obamacare was designed for failure assumes a degree of competence among the writers of the legislation that is not there. The writers threw in as many big government socialistic ideas that they could get away with. As details become known, it is not a surprise that the bill that passed is a mish mash of confusion.

Posted on September 5, 2010 at 11:13amThe American people really need to get engaged this time and from now on. What has happened is the political machines have purposely divided us, told us what we wanted to hear, and made the bills so confusing and worded in such a way nobody understands them. What happened to the push for all bills to worded in simple plain English? Don’t let your guard down and make sure you show up to vote. Demand bills which we can read and understand without the lawyer language. Repeal this monstrosity called Obamacare and get something that makes sense. I can only pray people will continue to be involved, it all starts at the local level.

Posted on September 5, 2010 at 11:04amThe Senator is right. Harry Reid said several months ago that we are going to have a single payer plan. If you look at the plan now is looks as though it was designed to drive up the costs of health insurance. As a matter of fact there are already complaints of the cost of health care plans rising dramatically already. Many people will start seeing this in the October – December time frame when many businesses bring out their new annual health care plans for their employees.
Report Post »When the Dems rammed this bill down our throats they didn’t think there was the slightest chance that they might lose the the mid-term elections. Notice that the Dems are not talking about the Health Care plans in their election campaigns. This is why the mid term elections this November are so important. If we want to see this government health care plan stopped we need to elect people who will stop it, and hold them to it. It is not could enough to elect someone to office, we need to stay informed and be sure that they do what they say they would.

Posted on September 5, 2010 at 10:42amWhat worries me is I think this administration wants the democrats to lose seats in congress so the republicans can take over and straighten out the economy. When this happens Obama has a chance to win in 2012. Just what happened with Clinton when we had a balanced budget under Gingrich and Clinton won his second term. This happened in Chicago when Obama ran for the Senate seat. His opponent was on TV almost daily and he talked like a lunatic and when Obama came on, he sounded bright and articulate so of course people voted for Obama. I hope Mr. Beck considers this as I don’t trust this administration and their radical marxist opinions.

Posted on September 5, 2010 at 10:54amI believe the American people are much more informed and awake today. President Obama reads the telepromter very well. Posted on September 5, 2010 at 12:31pmI really don’t think Obama is going to pull a Clinton on this. If he was going the CYA route, he wouldn’t have pushed through the health care bill. As soon as he saw how unpopular it was, he could have easily said that they can‘t have the bill because the Democrats in congress can’t get their act together, and he’d be in the clear.
He has his health care bill because its more important to him. Plus, I think he’s been really bad at reading exactly how the public will take things. I think he was sure everyone would be more upset with BP than with the administration. He seems to think that the American people won’t notice a bait and switch.
That having been said, I‘m sure he’ll do something that he thinks will garner support from American people after Novemeber. Its just that, unlike Clinton, who appeared to be able to lighten up and then take credit for Republican reforms, Obama seems to be obsessed with making a situation worse and then trying to find a villain to foist the blame for the situation upon . . . “heal care is failing . . . you should hate the insurance industry” . . . “the economy is failing, you should hate the banks” . . . “the oil spill isn’t fixed, you should hate BP.”

Posted on September 5, 2010 at 10:41amWe here in Kansas are witnessing the HHSec Sebellius stronghold on our Insurance Commissioner to get to a single payer system ASAP. Evidence is High Risk Pool is being expanded to unlimited amount of people with no residence time requirement. KHI is out soliciting for these people and the matching reimbursements required by Federal is breaking state so they send stimulus money to cover it. Insurance Companies rates are 26% increased and our insurance agent said next year he maybe back asking for a job! New hospital proposed in my county will be 80% funded by government reimbursement! The money shell game will collapse our health system. I believe Tom Coburn has it right!

Posted on September 5, 2010 at 3:17pmYou’re right about that being the plan from the ouset. Barney Frank, Rahm Emanuel, Obama, etc. etc. can be found on record saying that they will get to single payer eventually. They knew from the beginning that we weren’t going to swallow their socialized view of healthcare.
Why on Earth would such a radical, ineffective bill have been raced through without even the speaker having read it? What was in the bill was not important, the passing of the bill got them in the door. Now it will be a larger fight to toss them back out.
Of course, their ultimate goal is to somehow make single payer palatable to the American people so as to increase government and it’s control. Yes, they won.
Our task, as it has been, is to make ourselves heard to thier deafness. The Tea Parties are only a good start. We, as a Nation, have lost control of the “We The People” government.
How many times must it be said? Petition the government. (while we still can)

Posted on September 6, 2010 at 1:44pmI agree with Florida. Obamacare doesn’t fall under the original intent of the Constitution, therefore it is null and void. Neither I nor anyone I know gave Congress or the President the power to legislate on healthcare – something that is clearly a state issue. I don’t know what these folks are reading from, but it definately isn’t MY CONSTITUTION and, under the 10th Amendment and Nullification, I will not participate.
As far as Congress (Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reed, etc.) is concerned, James Otis had it right when he said, “all the acts of idiots and lunatics,” are, “void, and not obligatory, by all the laws of God and man.”

Posted on September 6, 2010 at 2:01pmIf congress is becoming irrational and rules against the will of the people and rather for their own criminal actions against the people, then the honest elected officials (not the appointed ones) have to charge all who voted with this repehensible act, with sedition and treason against the american people. Of course they are guilty and should immediately be removed from office. But the problem is folks, where are all the honest politicians? Obama said on a nightly entertainment show concerning repeal of this horrible law, GO For It. I agree with LCB-florida, Remember in November. Vote every incumbent OUT OF OFFICE, like in hockey, they all get a penalty and have to sit out. Then they have to try to get back into office.
We need public-financed campaigns – eliminates the undue influence and later control by the well-heeled.
Employment Matching Amendment: Both the Senate and the House must match the level of unemployment by laying off members in equal proportion. Right now that would be ten Senators and around 40 Congressman – laid off, sorry.
Vote out all judges. Bye bye. See ya.
Get the Senators and Congressmen/women who have a terminal disease with a limited time to live, say five years or less, to take on the Federal Reserve Board.
If this were a Constitutional Republic, the President would order troops over to the Federal Reserve Board to arrest them all for treason and they would be shot – deservedly so.
Unless we throw off the tentacles of the confiscatory money supply system imposed by a foreign power, the Federal Reserve, see: Creature From Jekyll Island, this country will continue to die while its essence is drained like blood by a vampire.

Posted on September 6, 2010 at 6:08pmI agree with LCB, no way no how will I get medical insurance if I can’t afford it, or don’t want it, and I won’t be paying any fines either. They took the jail part out of the bill, but the IRS is in the process of hiring 40,000 new people to enforce the payments of fines. I read Cloward and Piven‘s plan in college in the 80’s and did nothing to stop them. “Load up the govt. with free services and it will collapse”, they said. I assumed there were others much brighter and more articulate than I would fight those ideas while I went about makiing a living to support our family. And sure, I did not want to be seen as a nutjob.
Report Post »They are all about ruining this Capitalistic system so they could install a socialist one. C and P visited the Clinton Whitehouse as well as this Obama administration. Now my grandchildren will suffer under these people because I left the duty to speak out up to someone else who hasn’t done the job. Funny how these radicals know nothing of how to build a system, they only know how to tear something apart.

Posted on September 7, 2010 at 12:53pmObamaCare is only the latest failure by O’Bama and his storm troopers in the congress. It’s been one failure after another. If Coburn is right (and I’m certain he is though he may not have gotten the real underpinning exactly) then there is a conspiratorial edge to Obama’s insanity. The problem is, he is trying to implement a socialist framework (that can never work) yesterday without regard to the idiosy of the steps he’s taking and how that will impede the overall plan, not to mention the will of the people in November. I do not agree that we should vote all incumbents out, that is knee jerk and will throw the baby out with the bath water, so to speak. As there were incumbents who smelled the rotten stench in the White House, knew of his radical agenda and communist sympathies and who said hell no, and voted against the atrocities. They earned the right to stay and fight!!! November must be an overwhelming repudiation of Obama and “his” version of change.
