Sen. McConnell Will Keep His Seat for State of Union

WASHINGTON (AP) — Don‘t look for the Senate’s Republican leader to take a different seat during Tuesday night’s State of the Union address.

Democrats and Republicans usually sit with fellow members of their parties during the annual speech in the House chamber.

But with calls for more civility in Congress and less partisanship after Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ shooting, some lawmakers are pledging to break with tradition during President Barack Obama’s address this year.

Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky tells “Fox News Sunday” that he’ll sit where he usually does for the speech. But McConnell says lawmakers who want to mix up the traditional party separation certainly can.

The Libs are playing this brillantly. Now those who do not stand, sit appropriately will be judged accordingly to their NEW brand of civil politics. Disagree at your own peril by not standing or sitting appropriately and be singled out by name through the MSM as the Haters that they have always said we are. Brilliant! Watch the focus on this. It will be as I have described (repeated throughout MSM) and not so much Obamas message.

Won’t happen. The LSM is so discredited that anyone listening to them anymore is irrelevant.
The message has been heard and the red hot poker looms as an ever present reminder for those elected. They have an irrefutable mandate to put an end to the prigressive agenda. What they cannot unwind and reset they have been promised firther re-inforcement in 2012.

We have only begun the fumigation process. Make no mistake about that!

It’s a bogus kumbaya media moment….Is somebody bringing velcro so Pelooski doesn’t keep popping up and down from her chair??

What ever happened to the civility when Obama said the republicans could come along for the ride, but they would have to sit in the back? This could be defined better in the book by Lyle H. Rossiter M.D., The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness”.He describes the liberals perfectly.

Obviously, history means something to this Senator! Mixing both sides proves absolutely nothing and history exists for a very good reason! To learn from the past which seems to eludes Progressives every day! Pesky Constitution is far more then an old piece of paper with words on it! Those words are our history and everyone needs to know every word of that history or YOU ARE DEEMED TO REPEAT THE SAME GARBAGE ALL OVER AGAIN! The last years under Obama are something I pray will never be repeated again as he ignores that “pesky piece of old paper” which is the most important document in our history! It tells all of us what to do!

I am going to watch the ones who sit with Dems and remember them in 2012 or whenever they come up for re-election. The dems have never tried to get along and have a reason for doing it now and it is not to get along. I’m not voting for people to get along I am voting for them to do the job we are sending them for and to uphold the Constitution and get these jerks out of office.

I agree totally with his decision, I don‘t remember any real actions from the socialists in the White House or pelosi’s dems in the House to have a bi-partisan congress. But now that they are no longer in total control they are demanding bi-partisanship. Right! What a bunch of hypocrites.

There is a valid reason we have TWO Party’s. Stop the insanity. People are sick of it and we all know it is symbolic in nature. Means nothing. Perception is everything? In their minds perhaps.
Fisrt they change what you say and how you say it. The words you can use. Now they want to change how we perceive things. RE-inventing the truth?
This country is in trouble in so many ways I can’t begin to understand or comprehend. No one in Washington has any courage, balls, integrity or common sense. It is all a game to them and we are the losing players.
