Sen. Rand Paul Tells His TSA Story: Threatend ‘Full-Body Patdown’ if I Used My Phone

You can get the full details on the Rand Paul TSA incident from our earlier story here. But below is Paul telling his side of the story to WTVF-TV. According to him, once he was pulled aside after setting off a scanner, he was told that if he used his phone he would be given a “full-body patdown:”

WSMV-TV has a slightly different account. It says that Paul was told to leave once he decided to use his phone.

By the way, Rand Paul will be joining the Glenn Beck radio program on Tuesday at 11 am ET.

      Be careful Rand, the TSA is Obama new police force – most of them went from Unemployment to making a good Union Wage with all the Benefits – They praise Obama and will assure his election. I wait for the day that the TSA knocks on my door wanting my Guns or to put me in a camp – I don’t know who is going to win or lose that battle – but they are not getting my guns and I’m not going to any concentration Camp.

      I’ve had 7 patdowns on 7 consecutive weeks.
      They pat me down because I refuse the nude body radiation machines.
      They like to pat down the elderly, grannies in wheelchairs, and Swedish teen girls.
      God forbid they might insult a muslim.

      So, Rand, as soon as you realize there are no TSA rules, the faster you’ll be on your way.
      Or, ask to see the rules in writing, and you‘ll be told they’re “secret”. Yep! I did.

      They have expanded from airports to roadblocks and coming soon to your bedroom. Remember, tell a joke and aim for the whire spots. These thugs are so typical of the “Peter Principal”. I’m tried of people calling him a kook. After the Herman Cain thing’ I was so upset. But I now am talking to people about Paul. My mother thinks I have been brainwashed , haha.       Personally, I’m not a Christian but I do know a lot about the Bible, and anyone who would vote for a candidate who refuses to condemn the likes of the Patriot Act, the NDAA, and the molestation squads known as the DHS/TSA is simply inviting what is known in the Bible as the Beast/Anti-Christ.

      The Beast/Anti-Christ could never take control as long as the Bill of Rights is alive and well, and there is no doubt that the establishment Republicans are doing their best to tear the BoR to shreds.

    We live in a police state, my girl and i drove to New Orleans last month….       Tell me how Ron Paul can actually win against Obama and I’ll start pushing everyone I know to get him the nomination. The media (including Fox) will never give Paul a fair hearing based on his ideas. I fear a vote for Paul is akin to a vote for Ross Perot. I pray Paul does not run on a third party ticket.       While I understand that Nobody but Paul upsets the average GOPer, their feelings are of NO concern to me. They will either nominate Ron Paul or they will suffer four more years of Obama.

      I have zero regard for the RINO media (fox), and RINO candidates and electorate – why would I be concerned about alienating THEM when they are doing their best to alienate ME and RP’s base.
      This country will not recover without major changes, cuts, and free market policies that the RINO’s (newt/mitt) will NOT do. We will be worse in 4 years with either Obama or Mitt/Newt. Although I do think Newt/Mitt would be better than Obama even if ever so slightly. But I would root for Obama because perception is key. Obama represents socialism; Mitt/Newt represents “free markets” (even though they are far from it).

      If Obama stays at least the people will be ready for real change. If Mitt/Newt get in office, the uninformed public will think that we tried “free markets” again and it didn’t work.

      If Obama gets elected, in four years, we will see a true market type candidate like Rand Paul. If Mitt/Newt gets elected I see us swinging back to a socialist style candidate.

      Given their past voting records and major policy positions, they are all basically on the same page.

      DASNOW – We need to stop allowing the media to choose who our candidate is. If we all start telling who we know about Ron Paul ourselves, the message will spread. I learned about Ron Paul from the people on this site and the links they posted. I actually went to the links they posted and found out that I can’t trust any main stream media including FOX.I found that Ron Paul’s ideas do make sense. I believe God is giving us an option to fight back against losing our liberties. Even in the Bible, God used the smallest clans, the smallest armies, and the men who didn’t seem like they could get anything done so the honor would go to God in the end. Of course, we have free-will and we look at the outside of a man, and who talks the best and looks the best, who looks like a president, etc…I believe ANYONE else running besides Paul will just lead us down the same road.       The disturbing thing is most Republicans can accept the views and actions of Santorum, Gingrich, and Romney that they do not agree with, but they won’t do the same for Ron Paul. The only hope we have to keep our freedom and turn this country around is to elect Ron Paul! It is time we stopped letting the elitist pick our candidate in fear we might lose!     Pretty sad when you don’t even have diplomatic immunity in your own country. How about we strip Air Force One from our dear leader and make him fly commercial.

      I agree KickinBack, I’m surprised a sitting Senator is even required to go through security. Even if he had
      something on him like Pot, he was enroute to Washington DC while Congress was in session. That’s the
      excuse Rep. Kennedy used when he was arrested for drunk driving. But, alas Kennedy was arrested late night, and, congress was not in session. Why do I feel it has more to do with him being a Republican then, actual TSA regulations?

      Ron Paul is the only candidate who would protect our civil liberties. Can’t wait to see the debate tonight, I’m sure this topic will come up. I‘m sure they’ll ask Newt, Mitt, and Rick about the TSA and then when they get to Ron Paul they’ll ask him about legalizing drugs or Iran or something.

      @DRSAVAGE……you bet! The debate should be very interesting!! I almost can’t wait…and I HOPE they ask Newt and Mitt and Rick about the TSA…would love to hear what they have to say about it. Our freedom and liberty are just about completely gone…wonder if they really have words to cover what the good KY Senator believes and knows to be true.

      The president gets to chose who runs the DHS…correct?

      The DHS pretty much makes their own rules up at will…correct?

      It’s not difficult to see how the DHS would be neutered by Ron Paul if this is the case.

      What is very difficult to see is any candidate who openly endorsed the Patriot Act willingness to dismantle the beast they created.

      Their position regarding the NDAA also gives their true intensions away as well.

      The fact of the matter is, the only person with even so much as a shred of evidence that they would alter the course is Ron Paul.

      Gingrich, Santorum, and Romney are all on record praising the likes of the so called Patriot Act, and even if they started to change their position by flip flopping…would you believe them?
