Sen. Sanders Calls For ‘A Couple Hundred Thousand’ To Come To Washington

Is an American Senator calling for mass protests in Washington DC?  It certainly sounded like that yesterday.  During an appearance on the MSNBC 6pm ratings nadir hosted by Cenk Uygur, Senator Sanders made this statement;

I don’t believe the Senator is calling for increased tourism. It would seem that he is hoping for some sort of mass protest.

And then there is the old shared sacrifice, ‘taxing the rich’ chant.  According to Senator Sanders, despite paying more than 40% of all the income tax collected, the ‘rich’ are not paying enough. Based on another statement by Sanders, he also believes that the taxes paid by those fortunate enough to be considered wealthy are not helping at all;

‘They have not contributed one nickel to deficit reduction.’

Really?  Not one nickel?

He is technically correct as the deficit cannot be reduced if spending continues to outpace tax collections. Therefore, it would also be fair to say that the other 99% of tax paying Americans have not contributed a nickel to deficit reduction either.

In terms of a ‘shared sacrifice,’ the fortunate high-earners have given the government considerable amounts of cash. Here’s a handy fact for the Senator, the top 1% of all wage earners are paying more income tax than the bottom 95% combined.

And just looking at Federal income taxes collected, you can see a massive imbalance with 70% of all taxes paid by 10% of the people working population.

      They are idiots, but they know full-well what they are doing, Big.

      The present situation we find ourselves in is because of the lack of knowledge of our Founders and why they constructed our Republic as they did. This is what 50+ years of not properly teaching
      our form of government and why it was formed as it was has gotten us.

      I fear the violence we may well see. What Bernie was saying is what the far-left will need (think Wisconsin, and worse) if enough Americans wake up to their game. You will see all of the Socialist left organize either openly or behind the scenes to drive demonstrations and/or violent protests.

      All of this is why it is incumbent upon Constitutional Conservatives to be able to articulate why the path we are on will lead to our destruction.

    The democratic demagoges are frantic over Paul Ryan’s proposed 4 trillion plus budget cuts in the next five to ten years. Sanders calling for a mass demonstation, to show that the rich are not taxed enough, and that the proposed cuts are not in line with shared sacrifices. Pelosi comment about Ryan’s plan was, “3 million seniors will starve”. On july 24,2009 speaker pelosi commenting on the health care bill said, “cap on costs, no cap on benefits”. It’s hype, and fear mongering verses the truth has no agenda.

    You conservatives out there … in other the words the ones with brains and common sense enough to know and hear a lie when you read and hear one … this is what we are up against. And maybe that sounds like a good thing. But you have to realize that there are idiots (i.e. Liberals, Barry Juice drinkers and Obama Butt-lickers) who hear this crap from the likes of someone brain-dead like this person and they eat it up and believe it and go out repeat every word to other brain-dead voters without ever fact-checking a single statement.
    I keep thinking about the 2008 election and how in some states Obama won those states simply because too many Republican voters just stayed home. The Koolaid drinkers were bused in while the Republicans just said, “Oh … I just don’t know about McCain. I’m not gonna vote this year.”

    We have to show up more and sound out more and out talk, out teach and out educate these morons until the more elections we vote in the less of them there are. Less in line to vote and less and less running for office. We have to outnumber them so much until one day many more of us than them are able to recognize the Truths of Conservatism, the Goodness in Hard Earned Work, the Greatness in our Founders’ Intentions of the Constitution and the Common Sense in not falling for nor believing in a bunch of Liberals Lies and False Promises.

    And then …. when we greatly outnumber them … and we are in line to vote … we get a few of us to distract the poll officers and policemen while a few more of us just walk up and slap the sh_t out of these idiots until they wake up or go comatose. If they wake up we welcome them to our side. If comatose … who’ll know the difference?
    I am honestly beginning to believe that Liberals begin their days by having someone inject them with heavy doses of dumbass. They wouldn’t know the truth if it walked up and … hell .. if it walked up.

    Such a lunatic. Vile, vile man. I am ashamed to admit he is my state’s senator. But proud to point out that I did not vote for him. I would have much rather had the corrupt Richie Tarrant than Sanders.

    I’ve always wanted to ask Bernie, at what income should people lose their freedoms and rights? I mean, I have a right to earn an income and do what I want with it, according to Bernie- unless I make too much, then I do not have the same rights. I wish he would clarify what the cutoff is, how that is determined, and who makes that determination.

    Also, Sanders is a millionaire. How come he doesn’t feel the need to give up his accumulated personal wealth for the benefit of the poor? He could simply donate it to charity, or pick a few lucky families, or just give it to his favorite organization the IRS. Come on, Bernie! Lead by action instead of cheap words!

      Conservativevermonter says…..
      “I’ve always wanted to ask Bernie, at what income should people lose their freedoms and rights?”

      And therein lies the problem, Conservativevermonter…. Sanders believes that rights are given by man. That is whats now ailing our country.

      Even if you are not religious, you/we have to remember that the Founders believed that rights were given by God, NOT man. If you believe that rights are granted by man, then man can take them. remember…”endowed by their creator with certain ‘unalienable’ rights”, not ‘endowed by man/government with rights as they see fit’.

      I always say to religious skeptics that even if you don’t believe in the Creator, you certainly should be able to believe in the principles in the Ten Commandments. You know, the Thou Shalt Not’s. If anyone will not believe in God ‘or’ the Ten Commandments, then what exactly do they use for their moral compass? I would like to ask the very condescending Bill Mahar that one.

    The problem with libatards is that “shared”sacrifice means that those that make money then re-invest it in their business are harming the country because they do not pay their “fair share” The problem is that a “fair share” is a sliding scale based on how much money you have,,,evediently paying 40% of your income vs 0% for almost half of american tax payers is “fair”…to quote the bible, and yes I know tht is not PC, Jesus wept…

    This idiot is playing on the minds of people that have no understanding of the facts. I have and never will be wealthy but I do not resent anyone that is. I think that it is wrong to punish success and reward those that do nothing. I understand the frustration but think it to be a waste of time to worry about someone elses lifestyle other than my own. Happiness does not neccessarily come with having money. Greed and jealously only ruin your life if you allow it to. When you actually see the charts and percentages you have to realize that this country depends on the taxes paid by the rich and is what keeps us going.

      That’s called “spreading the wealth.” They want to strip people of their money, put it into their own pockets, and make everybody work for what the government GIVES them.

      What the government can provide, the government can also take away. And, I’m just wondering when the brown shirts are coming for the seniors, the conservatives, and the veterans!

    I just read an interesting point in one of Sowell’s books about the “rich.” He pointed out that a common fallacy is to confuse income with wealth, when in fact the two can often be completely disjoint. Yet, when people say “tax the rich,“ they consistently mean ”raise income taxes on those who are currently in the upper income brackets.” A very interesting point; I strongly recommend to anyone to pick up Sowell’s books or look him up online.
