Dem Sen. Schumer’s New Security Plan: A ‘No-Ride List’ for Amtrak

If you thought Amtrak trains were having “on-time” issues now, wait until New York Senator Chuck Schumer’s “No Ride List” becomes a reality:

Fox Five in New York City was in the front row at Schumer’s Sunday press conference:

Schumer said he will begin pushing congressional appropriators to increase funding for track inspections of commuter and passenger rail systems, as well as heightened monitoring and support for security at local train stations throughout the country.

The Democratic senator said he also asked the Department of Homeland Security to expand its Secure Flight program to Amtrak, which would essentially create a “No Ride List” to prevent suspected terrorists from boarding trains.

The Senator said:

‘We must remain vigilant in protecting ourselves from future terror attacks, and when intelligence emerges that provides insight into potential vulnerabilities, we must act with speed.”

Can baggage scanners, TSA pat-downs and an a massive hiring of even more government/unionized TSA employees be far behind?

FYI, this past weekend we here at TheBlaze.com joined the 20,000+ Amtrak employees as they celebrated 40 years of sketchy service, high prices, and a government guaranteed lack of competition. Read all about it HERE.

Schucky Schumer wants photo IDs for anyone who wants to ride the rails, but vehemently protests photo IDs for those voting in our elections. Funny logic.

Yep — all to be expected. When the “naked x-rays” came out at the airports, found out that George Soros owned a lot of shares in these — plan on waiting till people got used to them, then have them everywhere for security reasons of course — like malls, etc. He sold his shares after it became controversial. But a lot of money to be made here. Also that the ones shown to us in the media were put through filters first so we couldn’t see how they really are —- you can see every little detail and no — can‘t guearantee they won’t be “distributed” or whatever. Plus you have the weirdos who have these kind of jobs. No matter that none of this is going to do any good. Everyone is being programmed into thinking we “have” to endure these things in order to keep us safer – not true. The answer is to do what Israel does – note their success! But no, can’t do that — that makes too much sense & wouldn’t be “pc”. Oh.

How long, then, until interstate buses are next? Then intrastate, to go from one distant city to another? Then, will one bomb at a big shopping mall (God forbid) bring in TSA checking junk just to go Christmas shopping? Eventually, it‘ll get so big that the government can’t afford all those union TSA people. Who, then, to fill the gap except the military?

And Washington says we’re not at war…

All Schumer is trying to do is create no-stress jobs for his liberal constituents, The ones who barely got our of high school (in New York City no less) and are in dismal low-end jobs with no benefits.

There isn‘t a liberal I don’t know personally who doesn’t profess this god-like qualities for Schumer. The guy has been serving free lunches to his votes base for far too long.

They had 20 years of installing a shadow government, accountable to no current branch of govt. They will bring it to the forefront once they collapse the $ and the economy, and have their desired percentage of citizens dependent on the govt.

We are in the 9th hour and most of this country is still in the dark. I really dont know if going through normal channels (voting reps in) will even do any good. I fear that the only way to combat this threat is by sheer force and numbers, sad to say.

But to my surprise, nothing……no security really anywhere. I could‘ve brought virtually anything on the train because they don’t check a thing…..not entering the city or leaving…..no where. I commute to work via the Metrolink trains in California. We commuters are reminded on a daily basis to keep our belongings in our possesion at all time. Last friday as I came up onto the platform at the Irvine station I spotted two shopping bags under a table and nobody anywhere near. I went inside and informed security about the bags. The agent went out looked the bags over, picked them up and started walking with them toward the waiting room. Before I could say anything a woman ran up claiming the bags. Instead of lecturing the woman about leaving bags unattented, the agent told her they were only going to be put in a safe place so nobody would steal them. How stupid is this?

I was stunned. Does nobody remember the Madrid train station bombing or the so many IRA attacks in England? We are subjected to outrageous indignities going through airports and since OBL has been taken our we are being told there is a heightened threat of attack, very likely to trains and we all must be vigilent. And the security at a train station is going to carry suspicious bags into the depot. I was stunned!

Schumer is wanting you to focus on “no-ride lists”, which sounds OK on the surface. After all, your first picture is someone standing there with a list, check the name of…say…Al Abib Shamez Hablazookaramadan, (some jihadist screwball), and the person denies him getting on board.

But of course what Schumer is REALLY advocating is === get ready === Xraying your underwear and going through gates where you are digitally digested and stored on massive “Big Brother” database in order to track your every move.

Schumer represents a political DANGER to this country. He is a paid off political hack that has no respect for America and its Constitution.
