WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate has unanimously approved the nomination of Leon Panetta to be the next Pentagon chief.
Panetta will replace Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who is retiring June 30 after 4 1/2 years on the job through the administrations of George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
Panetta currently is CIA director. He has served in the House as a California congressman, headed the Budget Committee and was director of the Office of Management and Budget. He also was chief of staff to former President Bill Clinton.
He takes over the Pentagon with a crowded agenda – overseeing the drawdown of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, likely implementing the new policy to let gays serve openly in the military, handling the Libyan conflict and cutting the budget.

Panetta Report 2 here.
It is now fairly well known that President Barack Obama enjoyed a close relationship with the socialists, Trotskyites and “former” communists, who made up the Chicago Democratic Socialists of America.
It is less well known that while a California Congressman, Obama’s Secretary of Defense nominee Leon Panetta also worked closely with Santa Cruz based members of the US’s largest Marxist organization.
Hugh DeLacy
A key point of contact was Hugh DeLacy, Panetta’s friend and correspondent from at least 1976, until his death in 1986. DeLacy was a long time Communist Party USA member who worked closely with members of the California Communist Party splinter group, who then went on to form the pro-Chinese New American Movement, which in turn joined with the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee in 1982 to form Democratic Socialists of America.
Santa Cruz New American Movement, and later Democratic Socialists of America, effectively took over the Santa Cruz City Council after NAMers Mike Rotkin and Bruce Van Allen joined with DSOCers Mardi Wormhoudt and John Laird to form a majority on the Council in 1981.
Another local DSAer, former Trotskyite Gordon Haskell, served on the Santa Cruz Democratic Party Central Committee for many years, while several other comrades held senior

Posted on June 22, 2011 at 10:32amYou’re on target.
Yesterday, World News Daily, Aaron Klein, reported that Panetta had lengthy ties to Soros and many, many of his organizations. When I googled Klein, I found a laundry list of articles he’s written relative to our (US) moving toward NWO, and the middle east uprising directed by Soros. Klein is likely Glenn Beck’s resource for much of his research. We are now in WAY worse position with Panetta. Obama now has a head military man to orchestrate anything – including civil marshall law. What roll would Oath Keepers perform? Personally, I’m more frightened than ever!

Posted on June 21, 2011 at 5:57pmThat’s Great. Hey, come on down to Leon’s Pentagon where the price is right. We’ve got the latest model of F-22′s, F-16′s, and if that’s too pricey, then try our older model F-4 and F-14′s. Leon’s Pentagon, you can’t mistake our showroom anywhere else.

Say?
Where did Bill Clinton do a lot of his ‘schooling?
Didn’t he stay in Russia for a time?
Do you think Russia is a little pissed off, that we drew them into Afghanistan?
(That lead to their economic demise)…
Just asking.

Posted on June 21, 2011 at 5:44pmNot good. Gates has begun a series of significant cost cutting measures which will significantly cut our military readiness but at least it was carefully considered & intelligently done. Gates also told Congress & the nation what capabilities those cuts will result in.
I fear Penetta will thoughtlessly cut for political expediency & not be up front about how much of a loss in military readiness this will bring about. We are likely on our way back to the hollow military & paper tiger realm.

Posted on June 21, 2011 at 5:15pm‘Unanimously’ is the key word, that shows the scope of corruption. Party choice will not save us, only a true outsider who adheres to the Constitution will begin to save this country and I fear only after much bloodshed, and only because the elite marxists, socialists, and communists (the rest are just mindless, lazy sheep) will fight tooth and nail to hold the power they have or the power they perceive to gain.
