Senator Tebow? Don’t Rule It Out

Excellent leadership skills, from a major swing state like Florida, strong jaw line, fans who watch SportsCenter and fans who watch the 700 club, sounds like a successful politician to me.
During an interview with golf commentator Dave Feherty, Denver Broncos Quarterback Tim Tebow said he wouldn’t rule out running for office when his football days are over.
“I don’t know — it could be something in my future. If it’s something I care about, possibly,” Mike Allen reports Tebow said when asked by Feherty if he had a future in politics. Allen reports that Tebow was interviewed for a “Feherty Live” special from the Super Bowl, airing on the Golf Channel at 10 p.m. tonight.
Tebow is an outspoken Christian and namesake for the “Tebowing” viral phenomenon. The quarterback was allegedly approached by more than one 2012 Republican presidential candidate to throw his support, and in turn “Tebow-nation,” behind their campaign. Tebow has not yet publicly endorsed any candidate for President in 2012.

Posted on February 5, 2012 at 11:59amTim has my vote but would definitely miss him on the football field. He would be great in politics. He fights for every inch on the field and would fight just as hard in Congress. Such strong beliefs and convictions are just what we need to continue the fight to heal our country. Love Mr. Tebow and all he stands for. What a warrior for Christ.

Posted on February 5, 2012 at 11:30amI can’t believe the comments about Senator from Florida. Did ya notice the guy is playing in Denver? He could run on any ticket for Gov. Hickenlooper’s spot (yes…that is his name). We need some Tea leadership in this state. Rom 8:28

What is it Macpappy that you find so loathsome about this wonderful, clean living, clean thinking young man…? Oh. He is too clean and honest to be a politician…? I could agree with that…..

Posted on February 5, 2012 at 9:18amBy the Time Tim would decide to get into politics, we will be living an armagedon nightmare, besides he loves football too much, thats what makes him different than 95% of the goons in the NFL who are playing for money and camera time. I love Tebow. Been a Denver fan since 77, he is the most exciting thing since Elway. He’s honest, you wont find dirt on him, he is strong in his beleifs, and is he is probably the best role model sports has ever seen. Politics, I don’t know, I still don’t think we will have a very functioning society in the near future, I forsee alot of ugly. And for all you Tebow haters, AKA athiest, or those who find him offensive, get bent, he is not an idiot, he’s just not good at being in front of a camera.

Posted on February 5, 2012 at 12:31pmNever liked Elway. He was a cry baby. He was drafted by the Baltimore Colts but REFUSED to play or even dress and demanded he be traded to Denver. Never liked Elway. Tebow on the other hand is the best thing that ever happened to Denver. I finally like Denver again. However, I would have to say that while I respect Tebow he is still a baby (young). He needs a little time to get used to the corruption that exists everywhere before running for office. I would expect that he would be a great representative to the people in any capacity. I wouldnt be endorsing anyone at this time though if I were him. It could ruin a future career.

Posted on February 5, 2012 at 8:59amMany of you are saying “I hope he runs” or “he’s an idiot.” What would be the smart thing is to wait for his campaign to start, see his positions on different things, decide whether he can implement them, and decide if he’s a smart guy. THEN you can decide whether to vote for him or not. Don’t be a blind voter.

Posted on February 5, 2012 at 4:26amTebow may be a nice kid, and I guess the simple fact that he makes sure you know he’s a christian does it for some people. But the truth is he’s an idiot. In all his time in the limelight as a collegiate and now pro football player, in all the hundreds of interviews, he has yet to utter a single coherent thought, other than the scripted glory to god speech he gives every time. Anybody that would even entertain the notion of voting for this simpleton is saying more about themselves than tebow.

Posted on February 5, 2012 at 4:54amRowgue, it seems to me if you are right – “But the truth is he’s an idiot. ” – Tebow is well qualified to run for the Congress.

Posted on February 5, 2012 at 9:13amActually…what you wrote says more about you than about Tebow. When you give your heart to the Lord is when all that Glory to God “stuff” makes sense. Then the talk of the world is foolishness. Try it….you’ll never be sorry!!!!!

Posted on February 5, 2012 at 11:43amProve me wrong then. Provide a link to a single video or news article where he makes any sort of rational statement other than the religious schtick which is all scripted baloney. Provide one example of somebody asking him a question and him providing a reasonably intelligent answer that actually has something to do with the question asked.

Posted on February 5, 2012 at 3:51pmI would think that if someone were taking odds on who the idiot is in the room, and the two subjects were you and Tim Tebow, you would win hands down…Who are you to say he has never uttered a coherent thought…? I think it is you who is ignorant, and that your your thoughts about Mr. Tebow are truly incoherent…..
