Sharpton Uses Weird Handouts-as-Food Analogy to Shame Audience

Al Sharpton can‘t figure out why some in his radio audience aren’t enthusiastic about the upcoming elections and seemingly the Democrats’ chances in them. But instead of building his listeners up during his Tuesday show, he chided them for inaction, and used an odd food analogy essentially comparing Democrats to a soup kitchen:

(via Radioequalizer)

Radioequalizer gives us a transcript of the remarks:

I mean that just doesn’t make sense to me and I’ve heard the arguments and I’ve heard the debate and the discussion and I understand that we didn’t get everything that we wanted yet. But, I just don’t understand that I mean if you hungry and somebody starts feeding you after others wouldn’t give you anything and in fact was taking away your possibility to get something.

Do you take a position unless I get a full seven course meal, I’m not eating anything, or do you start eating because finally because the hunger barrier has been reversed and now we have to build up to a nutritious meal. I mean I just don’t get it. Or maybe I do.

Radioequalizer also points out that Sharpton “violated the first rule of talk hosting: never turn against the audience. Never, never, never.“ After questioning how some could think they have the ”luxury“ of deciding whether or not they should be involved ”in anything and everything that can help you,” Sharpton continues the assault on his listeners:

Maybe some people just don’t want to do nothing, no matter what. Just sit down and complain let everybody else do the hard lifting for them. Maybe I do get it. Maybe a lot of you just won’t face that you’re part of that.

Chastising voters has been popular as of late. Vice President Biden recently told supporters to “buck up” and “stop whining,” and yesterday called a room full of donors “the dullest audience I’ve ever spoken to.” In this month’s issue of Rolling Stone, President Obama says the idea that “people are sitting on their hands complaining, is just irresponsible.” And last week John Kerry joined the choir when he said that voters are easily swayed by “simple slogans.”

I still have not found a rational thinker among the left wing racialists. I have looked and read and watched, but there are NONE. Amazingly, though, rationality is free. It comes when truth is present.
now, the truth…before the creation of the “great society” in the sixties, 90+% of black families had a daddy at home. After 40 years of welfare meddling that number is <10%. This is the perfect result of a perfect progressive agenda. Can anyone relate to these people that slavery is alive and well in the progressive utopia? Now the slaves are voluntary, and trained by the left to be "entitled".
As of yesterday,91% of blacks polled(all polled in the large markets) are STILL enamored with Obama. This is racism, pure and simple. Tthe progressive left has purposely kept the American black dependent, poorly educated, and purposeless. The idea was to have a black population indentured to the democratic party(LBJ). This tactic is backfiring on them, as the democratic party is showing its true colors. Many blacks are not motivated, for Obama, as they were just two years ago. The entire population may be suffering, but,as always the urban poor, kept poor with welfare programs, feels it the most. Blacks in the fly-over states are abandoning the party in droves. I suppose there are just not enough al sharptons to keep all of them in shackles.

It is so hard to believe that the democrats have sold such lies to the Black Americans that the Conservatives don’t care about them. Al Sharpton sounds just exactly like an old stereotype of people who abused them 200 plus years ago. In his words–or any of their words do you hear anything that sounds like respect? No!! They all sound like the Ruling Class talking to the poor, stupid, masses–good grief.

Your late! There was a color in crayola boxes called “Flesh”, it was a pinkish white. You will note that the racist color is gone. Some people will take offense to anything that will gain them notoriety or money in their pocket. It is getting tougher for the race baiters to find things they take offense to, but they still manage.

I don’t care what color you are, all blood is red, and all human kind (even the lazy) want to have a sense of pride. You don’t get that from a soup kitchen or a food line. why don’t you create some jobs and start with those that are willing to work.

If they are only looking for handouts, they are not going to get active for you unless you have the carrot in your hand. Especially if they have to earn it. Expecting the entitled crowd to do something for you is obsurd, you have been only feeding their hunger and you are blind to think they will be there for you if there is nothing in it for them this moment.

The fact that so many black people are waking up to this type of rhetoric is very encouraging. Now they are looking at history and understanding people like Sharpton, whose liberation theology only continues and promotes the perpetual feeling of victimization of people who should not only be free-but understand who is really holding them down. By and large-black people ‘test’ conservative. So why don’t they vote that way? Because generations of black people have fallen prey to politicians that use that underlying ‘victim’ complex. Their leaders use it-so why shouldn’t a crooked politician? And why would black overwhelmingly vote democrap when the history of slavery in America shows overwhelmingly that slave owners were…democrats. The republican party was founded to end slavery. The left has always taken advantage of the poor and uneducated. And (no offense intended) 70 years ago blacks were predominately poor and uneducated with little opportunity to better themselves or their families. the progressive/socialists brought in entitlements-which were well intended at the time to remedy the issue and equalize the level of prosperity/poverty. It was supposed to be a temporary measure. But nearly 40 years later we are left with the moral realization that it has been little more than slavery all over again. people tend to vote their benefits like union members tend to vote theirs…The government has not helped the plight of poor black folks-at least not in the total sum of things. The one shining thing that saves them-if they took advantage was a much improved opportunity for education. The rest are hollow promises from a morally bankrupt government. and the Sharptons of the world continue to promote the welfare mentality.

Maybe, just maybe, those on the entitlements are waking up, too. Maybe they are realizing that if more and more take a bigger share without contributing, the system will fail and they will get nothing. Maybe they are seeing that entitlements really aren’t about helping people, but about consolidating political power. Maybe they are seeing that the welfare system leads to a breakdown of the family structure and individual responsibility, keeping individuals (and their children) in poverty.

      We can only hope.

You might try getting the government to make available 1000 new section 8 openings. You probably could get 100,000 to come to line up for a chance at one of those openings. But make sure to force them through a voting booth first. Obama will pass the “equality in voting” law to make that legal.
