‘She Looked Guilty’: $4,500 Wedding Ring Found Inside Family Dog

Rachelle Atkinson had to celebrate her day-after-Christmas first wedding anniversary without her wedding ring. It was missing. But the couple soon found the culprit of the $4,500 ring theft.
Meet Coraline their 10-month old basset hound. While in most cases this story would end after a few days of sifting through waste until the ring naturally passed, this one was different. The ring was too heavy.

KOB-TVÂ reported Wednesday that a veterinarian recently removed the ring from the dog named Coraline after X-rays showed it was lodged deep in her stomach and wasn’t coming out on its own.
Albuquerque resident Atkinson says she and her husband Scott had searched everywhere for the ring before beginning to suspect the dog ate it.
The vet said basset hounds have a tendency to eat rocks.
Atkinson says she now hides the ring while Coraline is off munching away at anything she can find.

She would eat glass ornaments and light bulbs off the Christmas tree.
And she would eat fiberglass matting too.
And a roll of lead solder.
Basset’s like crunchy, and since they have no brain, there was no problem with the lead.
