Shock Allegations: Penn St. Coach May Have Been ‘Pimping’ Out Boys to Donors

  • Local radio host says there are “rumors” the Penn St. coach at the center of child rape allegations may have been “pimping out” boys, affiliated with the charity he worked for, to donors.
  • The host, Mark Madden, has been right before: he was the first person to break the news about the scandal seven months ago.
  • Madden also says it could be revealed that the coach, Jerry Sandusky, was told “he had to retire in exchange for a cover-up.”

If you think the Penn St. University rape scandal involving a coach and several young boys is new news, think again. Back in April, a Pittsburgh radio host named Mark Madden wrote a story about coach Jerry Sandusky and the allegations, and alleged that the university could have had covered it up. Parts of his article were almost prophetic:

It seems logical to ask: What did Paterno know, and when did he know it? What did Penn State’s administration know, and when did they know it?

Best-case scenario: Charges are never brought, and Sandusky walks away with his reputation permanently scarred. The rumors, the jokes, the sideways glances – they won’t ever stop. Paterno and Penn State do the great escape.

Worst-case scenario: Sandusky is charged. Then it seems reasonable to wonder: Did Penn State not make an issue of Sandusky’s alleged behavior in 1998 in exchange for him walking away from the program at an age premature for most coaches? Did Penn State’s considerable influence help get Sandusky off the hook?

Don’t kid yourself. That could happen. Don’t underestimate the power of Paterno and Penn State in central Pennsylvania when it comes to politicians, the police and the media.

Why is that important? Because now Madden is making headlines again today saying he’s hearing rumors that the scandal could get even worse: Sandusky may have been “pimping out” boys, from the charity he worked with, to donors. And as we saw, Madden has been right before.

Here’s how he put it Thursday morning:

“I can give you a rumor and I can give you something I think might happen,” Madden told WEEI radio hosts John Dennis and Gerry Callahan. “I hear there’s a rumor that there will be a more shocking development from the Second Mile Foundation — and hold on to your stomachs, boys, this is gross, I will use the only language I can — that Jerry Sandusky and Second Mile were pimping out young boys to rich donors. That was being investigated by two prominent columnists even as I speak.”

But Madden wasn’t done there.

“The other thing I think that may eventually become uncovered, and I talked about this in my original article back in April, is that I think they’ll find out that Jerry Sandusky was told that he had to retire in exchange for a cover-up,” he added. “If you look at the timeline, that makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?

Again, those are just rumors. But as Mediaite notes, “Madden now has a proven track record and this is easily the biggest story in the country so expect this rumor to get a full investigation. Unlike, unfortunately, the original rape allegations.”

He also addressed the decision on his Twitter account:

    Former PSU President, Graham Spanier,(the commie-socialist-progressive that he is) might call that “a livestyle choice”. Graham might say, “Who are we to judge the pimping of young boys?…who are we to say the sexual assault of a 10-year old boy is wrong?” Right, Graham?

    This crap is happening at colleges all over the country. We’ll never hear about it because if you throw a few season tickets and a few autographed jerseys around, things can get very quiet.

Molesters usually gain the trust of parents and access to their children. Boy Scouts, Catholic Priests, coaches, the father, the brother, the uncle…. those are the people to keep an eye one in regard to your children.

    I have no idea what happened at PSU in 1998 when Paterno fired Sandusky from the staff and Spanier allowed him to retire with emeritus status, but the truth will come out just as it did in other high profile cases. As for now, The Second Mile charity needs to be scrutinized as well.

When they fired Paterno it seems the trustees didn’t consider the financial impact it would have on the whole community. State College was a thriving economy even in the midst of the recession. We can only hope and pray that this doesn’t destroy the University. It might not matter to most of you, but I work in State College and realize how much in our area depends on Penn State. Sandusky needs to be tried before he is strung up. I think we still consider those who are accused innocent until proven guilty.

    EVERYONE that participates in a cover-up (also known as a conspiracy) is “just as guilty” as the one(s) committing the crime(s). That’s the LAW,,,and quite often the sentences for conspirators can be very, very lengthy. It is becoming increasingly evident that there are others involved in the conspiracy,,,not to mention the “donors” that are quite guilty.

    Big question now,,,,will this be PROPERLY investigated and the guilty parties charged,,,,,,or will this be downplayed and forgotten (as usual) as has soooooo often occurred in our modern ‘society.’

    I have, in the last decade,,,,lost faith in our society,,,as it is becoming very apparent that we are experiencing a tremendous breakdown in social behaviors.

      Well the left pushs sex. Look at sex ed in the schools or Hollywood left wingers. What about force feeding education about homosexuality to grade school kids?

      What is needed is wisdom. Control will not deal with it. The left is far more into controlling people’s lives (look at the food neo-puritans) than the libertarians on the right.

      Better yet the left has been very aggressive in their anti god attitudes. Over 90% of those voting democrat never attend church or shul.

      On an earlier news piece about this, I said it would get worse…we’ve yet to hear from the feds…Arne Duncan (a known pro-homosexual) Obama’s “safe school czar” is going to conduct an investigation…should be real dicey.

      Penn State was the same university that helped cover up for Michael Mann, the global warming researcher who was caught manipulating and hiding global warming temperature data. He was also known to be the author of the famous ‘hockey stick’ data that proved to be falcely constructed. Penn State later, basically, told him, try not to get caught again.

      Sounds like PSU should be teaching a class in “Cover Up 101”
