But where is Glenn on the most important element of staying alive, which is access to a supply of clean water? What’s the problem? No sponsors signed on to sell hand pumps and drill “end times” wells? You’re going to get awfully thirsty trying to choke down those freeze-dried PBJs. What will you do for clean water?

Once again you speak to something no one was asking you about. I love how you jump around when people put you on the spot. Most kits for survival and freeze dried food come with pills or filter straws for purifying your water.
And if the economy collapses, IF sir, that is once again IF. Beck himself has said collapse is only a probability and not an eventuality, then I guarantee the larger percentage of law enforcement will not collapse which BTW I never heard Beck actually say Law Enforcement would collapse. It will be used against us. There are not enough of them that will actually honor their OATH. They will simply follow orders and not because they are evil but because they will be confused. I don’t remember Beck every calling for GUNS to be stockpiled. You can argue that it is an unstated intention but never the less sir it was not called for personally by Beck.

I do read music and have since I was 12. I am also very much a rocker, punk rocker really, then a metal head. Actually music of all types turns me on. It can be Fleetwood Mac one moment then Velvet Acid Christ the next or Al Dimeola and then As I Lay Dying the next. However metal is my staple I would say.
I respect the way in which you bring the conversation and am sorry for name calling. It was just so catchy when I thought it, that I had to use it :) other than that I hope you can tell I am not going out of my way to be hurtful or full of spite. The issue remains however that I feel you are a plant and will state what I feel. When that thought changes however I will also state it then that I was wrong.
I also state again that no more than a handful of days ago I heard Rush say something flattering about Glenn. He does not appear to be against him and has yet to even give the slightest clue that he is. I am sure everyone on this site listens to more than just Beck and Beck alone. And I think you do them all a disservice to think they would follow Beck blindly.

I’ll tell you what this “Uneducated Old Fart” and plenty more just like me did. I just drilled another new well on one of my pieces of property, I have at least one well on each piece. And I have counseled lots of other folks to do the same, and they have. We have stored a couple years worth of food along with Non Hybrid Seed that we grow and preserve. We have fuel stored and the means to produce more as needed if we have to, from raw crude that comes from our non water wells. We’ve dug “Root Cellars” to store canned and dried food in, not mention the considerable number of rounds of ammo that we’ve piled up. Everybody either grows food, raises livestock, or has the required skill sets to keep us all going. Our communications systems are indeed “Old School”, but they are absolutely dependable, un-tappable, and un-scanable by anyone. The list goes on and on, but the short version is there are lots of us, we all know each other, and can trust each other, and we can all retro back to 1910 and live just fine, infact in a pinch we could go back to 1810 if we had to. The most important thing all of us uneducated Hicks can do, everyone of us, is SPOT a Communist like you a Mile Away. AND, lots of us can hit you first time, everytime at that distance. So when all you HARVARD EDUCATED, WIMPY DICK, SOCIALISTS, are dying from thirst and starvation, we’ll be doing just fine. Just don’t come slithering around where we are, unless you really decide “Quick” is the way you want to finish it all up.

I can understand that you have a hard time believing this is not some bit of fear mongering. However, based on what I have heard of groups like this, it does fit their MO. No this doesn’t come from Beck, it’s from some information I read about them while studying domestic terrorist groups (bear in mind, only a college freshman, so take my opinion for what it is worth). The goals, allies, and even the speaking style sound very similar to what you hear of the nation of islam/black power groups. Granted, most of the time it is simply blustering, they talk a good game but never follow through. I take it with a grain of salt that some black yahoo is going to suddenly become the next Bin Laden, still, I would keep at least one eye on them.
Besides, it‘s not like the FBI can’t re purpose some of it’s resources from watching Arpaio in Arizona to checking up on these groups.

You have to take these radicals full of hate for white people seriously. There are black people who rise above their level and make a good life and are good citizens and then there are these cry-baby, give me more of what you took from me, what is rightfully mine, hateful, radicals that want to kill all white people. This man should be tried for treason and the whole thing should be put down. Look at Bill Ayers who killed people and got away with it on a technicality. He should be in prison along with his communist wife who are working to bring our nation down. They are guilty also of treason. If we don’t start arresting and trying some of these people who are about to destroy us, and that might be the whole administration now, then we will eventually go down. If the whole world goes to global which they probably will could we fight the whole world and be the only nation in the world that maintained our nationality and constitution. There will come a day and we will not have a lot of say for others will speak for us even though we object, just as what is happening now in Washington, we will be brought into the global thing even though we the majority do not want it. How I wish it were 2012 and Obama was gone and all his communist gone with him. I pray day and night for the new House that God will help them get us through these next two years. 1. Glenn used drugs like cocaine.
2. He claimed to have smoked weed every day for 15 years
3. He attacked a good person on the air relentlessly for being overweight for years in an effort to increase his own ratings.
4. He made a malicious on-air call to the wife of a competitor as she was recouperating from a miscarriage in the hospital.
Those are facts. They reveal aspects of Beck’s personality such as an inability to control his appetites, a lack of care for the feelings of others (sociopathic), and a frighteningly ruthless ambition to be rich and famous. Those same traits are still with him, but now he’s displaying them in other ways, details of which you’ve read in my postings here many times over.
More facts:
1. Glenn claimed on air that God talks to him every day. He leads his audience to believe that his paranoid statements and predictions about a grim future have the good seal of approval and full backing of God Almighty Himself.
2. Glenn recently claimed that we will all see the “arm of God” in our lifetimes. This delusional statement further illustrates how mentally unstable Glenn is.
3. The bouts of crying Beck has been experiencing are more evidence of a troubled mind.
Glenn also magnifies events and statements made by other fringe crackpot groups, like the New Black Panthers, and gives them an exaggerated sense of importance and gravitas. He then uses this as evidence of growing plots and conspiracies that loom as threats to us and support his claims of impending armageddon.
One could spend 80 hours a week documenting how wrong Beck is, but if one listens carefully to Beck’s statements and is cognizant of his techniques of exaggeration and drawing errant conclusions from a set of facts, a picture of a very troubled individual begins to emerge. Sure, Beck states facts that I agree with occasionally- big government is bad, the media is slanted to the left, Soros is a leftist etc., but his conclusions about vast conspiracies and the collapse of civilization, and the return of Jesus (to Missouri) are lacking in veracity.

Your points about Glenn Beck’s history does not address the actual evidence he presents to support his claim that the government has been hijacked by Socialist, Marxist, Communist, “Central-Planningist” radicals. That is a Genetic Fallacy.
Claiming to talk to God every day, while disturbing, also does not address the evidence, and is also a Genetic Fallacy. Besides, a lot of people claim to speak to God every day, and are otherwise able to functionally operate in society – including the ability to tell others to push Play so you can see the evidence for yourself.
For example, God didn’t tell Glenn that Howard Dean congratulated the Party of European Socialists for their collusion with the Democratic Party for the purpose of creating a global New Deal – Howard Dean said that, and Glenn had someone push Play. Deal with the evidence, not the messenger.
To be sure, Glenn belongs to a cult, Mormonism, and I take his religious views with a grain of salt because, again, the evidence he presents stands or falls on its own merit. It must be added, though, that claims such as Glenn has made about talking to God every day are not unique to the cult of Mormonism. See here:

I haven’t heard the so-called malicious on-air call, but that also would not deal with the evidence presented, so that’s also a Genetic Fallacy. And actually, I can imagine a scenario in which I would do such a thing, myself. For example, if it involved someone from Planned Parenthood who wanted a baby, and then somehow lost it, while I would feel bad for her loss, no better opportunity to show the sanctity of the life of the unborn to someone who has made a career out of killing them could exist, than to ridicule her contradictory sense of loss in the context of the statements she’s made to other mothers at her work, saying that “it’s just tissue, it’s not a life”.
I know people who would advise against that approach, but just because you use it doesn’t make you a malicious person, as you have made Glenn out to be. Again, I haven’t heard the on-air call to which you refer, but maybe Glenn just offended someone to make a point? In my imagined scenario, for example, the murder of the unborn is a far greater evil than any offensive statement could be, and, frandly, to not see the importance of the issue of abortion is, itself, offensive.
Glenn’s statements about a grim future are backed up by evidence – often audio and video. I can listen to and watch it for myself. So, when the government claims to be wargaming for scenarios of economic collapse, I know that even they believe it (there was plenty of evidence prior to that, though).
The Black Panthers are relevant because the Department of Justice had a clear case of voter intimidation against the Black Panthers, and they gave them a pass. Add to that this video of them meeting with Amadinedjab, and the Liberation Theology espoused by Reverend Wright, Van Jones, etc., and it reeks of collusion among organized Class Warfare whores, our government being complicit.

And like so many people throughtout history that have claimed they’re doing the bidding of some god, he’s also dangerous. He promotes the work of W. Cleon Skousen, an insane figure so extreme that ultimately even the Birch-supporting leadership of the Mormon Church had to distance itself from him. Beck preaches the imminent arrival of God (the Mormon god no doubt) and rants endlessly on the coming collapse of our nation, all based on his misunderstanding of the facts. He adds two and two and comes up with 5. Glenn sees evil conspiracies everywhere. He cries and makes outrageous claims about god talking to him. I’m afraid his years of daily pot smoking and the other drugs and alcohol he abused has taken its toll. Now it appears he wants to drag the country along with him on the Glenn Beck Crazy Train.
If you expect me to sit quietly by and let this former druggie do his evil works unanswered, you’re in for a disappointment kid. Birchers like Beck give the conservative movement a bad name. I’m not alone in my disgust with the man either. Since I‘m the kind of person who believes ’keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer‘ I decided to TiVo his show for one week so I would have the ammo to argue his ’maniacal rantings’. After watching a week’s worth of shows in one day, I was stunned at how wrong I perceived him and how much of what he was saying I already believed. I’ve been watching his show ever since….and doing my own research. I don’t simply listen to what he says and take it for truth…I check it out myself through independent sources.

In that time he’s devolved into a paranoid, fire and brimstone, armageddon-is-near preacher. It’s a sad thing to see. Just two weeks ago he promised his listen audience “you will see the finger of God, no, the ARM of God, in your lifetimes! Be prepared for what’s coming!” That kind of paranoid talk is nonsense and is just another example of Glenn’s deteriorating emotional state.
You can waste time trying to excuse Glenn’s unstable behavior by calling names, but you may be better off listening closely to him in 2011. I expect to hear an increase in Beck’s end-times preaching. Listen for it and remember what I said.

The superpower of superpowers to bowing low before our enemies. From moral certainty to taking it up the a$$.
The Lord has promised us that not only will His faithful children be preserved, but the prince of this world will be brought low and be defeated. He did NOT say that we would be doing this, but
Christ himself.
WE must realize that it has been inattention and inertia that has allowed this country, indeed the world, to come to this state. This battle is over our heads. Way past our collective “pay grade”. There is no political solution. The dark forces, at work in this world, have had thousands of years to develope this scenario, and it is practically seamless in its insidiousness. I think we all know that.
So. If there is no political way around this, what IS the solution? Be prepared for hard times and defend your family and homestead. Commit no murder! Pray and stay IN THE WORD.
