Girl Scouts Exposed? Shocking Video Series Reveals Alleged Leftist Ties to Pro-Abortion Groups

Girl Scouts Video Expose Shows Alleges Ties to Liberal GroupsControversy is nothing new for the Girl Scouts of the USA. The organization is frequently accused of far-left associations, indoctrination and irresponsible partnerships. Now, a new, three-part video series released by former Girl Scouts and their families attempts to frame all of the available purported evidence that the organization has ties to pro-abortion groups.

The individuals behind the series claim that they have provided a vast overview of the far-left curriculum and controversial web site references that allegedly connect Girl Scouters to “pro-abortion role models and groups, as well as explicit sexual content.”

Co-produced by SpeakNowGirlScouts.com and GirlScoutsWhyNot.com, two web sites that seek to spread information about liberal bias within the organization, the series is sure to rile Girl Scouts leadership. A press release has more information about the new series called, “Pro-Life Concerns About the Girl Scouts”:

The video series provides an in-depth look at the facts behind the pro-life concerns over the Girl Scouts, including troubling content in the Journeys curriculum books and the Girl Scouts’ financial and mission-oriented relationships with pro-abortion groups like the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

An online documentation guide accompanies the series providing screenshots and links from the Girl Scouts’ websites, page scans from the Girl Scouts’ curriculum, and Girl Scouts’ tax returns. These videos and accompanying documentation clearly implicate the Girl Scouts on their continued denials of the many allegations brought by faith based and pro-life groups regarding their ties to pro- abortion groups and agendas.

The videos were edited by Christy Volanski, a concerned parent and a former Girl Scouts leader, who The Blaze first told you about back in December. She tipped The Blaze that an official Girl Scouts book was telling middle school-aged members to go to Media Matters’ web site to clear up “media misinformation.”

Volanski has had a personal stake in Girl Scouts issues, seeing as her 15-year-old daughter, Sydney, was a member of the organization for eight years. Now, the teenager edits “SpeakNowGirlScouts.com,” a web site that provides plenty of examples of bias.

Part One of the series, narrated by a former Girl Scout, covers official curriculum that purportedly “exposes girls to abortion rights advocacy groups and role models.” Also, it covers Girl Scouts blog links that apparently lead the youths to graphic, sexual content. In Part Two, Ann, a mother of a former Scout, talks about the organization’s relationships with controversial groups like the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS):

And, Part Three encourages concerned parents and others to get involved and to spread the word about the allegedly contentious connections and biases:

This week, The Blaze caught up with Volanski to speak further about the video series (downloadable guides to accompany each video can be found here).

“It’s basically a response to a lot of families who were wanting to present this information to their families and church members,” she explained. “It was our goal to put together a very solid video and then something that they can print out to look at in detail.”

Volanski went on to explain that Girl Scouts leaders have not adequately dealt with concerns that conservative families have about curriculum and other related materials. This, of course, has led to an official review of the group by the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops.

“There’s a lot of people concerned and confused about the girl scouts double-speak,” she continued, going on to clarify the intentions behind the video series. “That was the purpose. To try to clarify things.”

    Focus on the Family was teaching the real truth about the Girl Scouts many years ago. I really love American HERITAGE Girls which are like GS but not immoral. Another lefty retailer/movie maker for girls is American Girls who sell $$$$ dolls, clothes and accessories.

      American Heritage Girls is fine, but if you are Jewish or non-mainstream Christian, you can’t be a leader in AHG. The organization is TOO narrow. I always say, Boy Scouts do it right. You can be any religion and be a Boy Scout leader as long as you stick to basic moral principles.

    Why does Girl Scouts say they don’t position on abortion or birth control, but then in their printed materials all we see is their recommendation of pro-abortion groups, no prolife ones>? (see the Part 1 video). They are now exposed, no denying who they really are.

Some are having a hard time facing the facts or refuse to open their eyes but the facts are there. Are you able to muster up the courage and see who the Girl Scouts truly are? I pray you are.

    I have been trying to do my best as a prolife Catholic mother to follow what is going on with GS. I first learned about things with GS while my daughter was in preschool ‘10-’11.Thank God these women & girls are getting the truth out there as my daughter has joined an alternative AHG which has been wonderful & no chance of selling the girls out to the things GS now is! Thankful to those exposing the truth about GS!

      We being Catholics prevented our daughters from being in Girl Scouts and placed them in a Protestant Church Pioneer Girls equivalent organization. They enjoyed it and the Protestants didn’t teach them about isex, drug usage, and abortion. The Protestant Church days are coming and the Catholic Church’s days are fading. The Catholic Church is Liberal and professes Liberalism. If Christ returned to Earth today, the American Catholics would Crucify him.

    Being honest and morally straight are essentials for the growth and future of any culture. Scouting was originated to grow the ideals within the boys and girls that would bring peace and prosperity to the nations in which they lived and served. Serving one’s baser sexual instincts was definitely not what Scouting was about, but leave it to those who are self-serving (look at the huge salaries of the hierarchy and the loss of GS camp facilities recently) to force a radical change in all that goodness.

    I listened to the 3 part series. It is packed with verifiable facts that make one wonder how it is that the formerly venerable Girl Scouts of America could have been so completely transformed into the abortion propagandistic organization it now represents. I’m not advertising for them, but one has to give serious consideration to creating or forming American Heritage Girl troops to replace the Girl Scout troops whose top leadership seeks to sexualize the little girls. Baking cupcakes with condoms on top? In Girl Scouts? Really?

      The truth is this:If you took all of the commie progs, democrats, and all of the other miscreant groups and gave them their own country, complete with abundant resources, water, etc. –they would perish. The would not have the work ethic to survive as a group. They rely on stealing the wealth others in order to make it. They do not have the mental capacity to work and cooperate. They would devolve into starvation, rape, murder and war similar to what occurs in most African nations. The would not survive without hosts to feed on. That is what would happen to these leaches.

    Girl Scout role models short list: Betty Freidan (founder of NARAL), Billie Jean King, Martina Navritilova, Hillary Clinton, Geraldine Ferraro, and they tells girls that communist party leader Elizabeth Gurley Flynn and her organization, American Civil Liberties Union/ACLU, is a “voice for good?” Girl Scouts even suggest girls consider working for ACLU….and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. It’s time that Conservative American families stop being the cash cows for the liberal Girl Scouts.

      Jrook, there are some things for which you can’t be “mildly pro.” Even a teensy bit makes it whole hog. Example? Murder. You can’t say, ‘I’m mildly for murder.‘ It’s whole hog. Since we are talking about putting innocent children to death, you just can’t say, I only put my toe into the water. Face it, “mildly pro” is political double talk, it’s what one would expect from a politician. I don’t trust her anymore.

      The Girl Scouts smelled trouble and dropping numbers so they hired a hispanic CEO Anna Maria Chavez. This woman proclaims to be a Catholic. They GS are now addressing their attention on the hispanic population through hispanic channels and other media outlets. They want to keep the $$$ flowing into them. Many hispanic mothers who are Catholic in large numbers will not be aware of who they have become and their agenda. Please if you have influence in this area pray and alert them. Ms. Chavez is featured in the filthy crotch shot magazine Marie Claire and she states that as a devout Catholic her prayer cards are of…St. Michael is a protector who takes down barriers so that you can accomplish what you’ve set your mind to; St. Theresa is an ambassador to your desires.” I am myself a Catholic and have never heard this regarding some of our cherished saints. God help us as this woman of no judgement leads this organization to even further connect to all that parents want no part of for their daughters. This college graduate agrees to be featured in a magazine of filth and skin and she wants us to trust her with this program? Her actions regarding the future of the Girl Scouts speaks volumns. In Chicago a Girls World Forum will be held and they will gather our daughters and give them the GS speak on world population control. Can you say indoctrination?? If you are learning then I know I am doing Gods will. Thank you and share these facts.

      Completely and totally agree. If you a woman is not radically pro-choice, they consider that woman to be a traitor to the gender. It is not a pro-choice movement, but a demand everyone think the same way as them.

      But the “pro-life” advocates (in quotations because they are not exactly pro-life…) are not supportive of women either. The “pro-life” movement is not simply about preventing abortion but seeks full control of a woman’s reproductive health. If a woman decides not to have children or delay children, that is her prerogative, no one else’s. However, the radical pro-life movement believes it is their concern.

    My daughter was in the GS and we stopped going after higher up in the GS org came and spoke at our meeting. This lady was going on and on with progressive talking points and after that meeting I was sick of the crap and we will no longer go nor will we buy any more cookies.

    This is one of many reasons why my wife and daughter are not involved in Girl Scouts. We are part of the American Heritage Girls, which is a lot better in our opinion.

    The Girl Scouts have been infected with Lefties for Years and years. My wife got into the Girl Scouts 10-15 years ago and every time I went to the Girl Scout store for her, I almost expected to hear them screaming “Man in building!!!!! Man in bulding!!!” They started teaching some crappy projects to get some lefty badge. They started to annoy my wife, so she started to phase the Girl Scouts out of our life. They took our dues and gave them to inner-city kids, so we didn’t even benefit from any of it.
    That. and all the “free-stuff” people who come to the parties and picnics, but never helped their own girls with anything.

First off, the USA is based on LIMITED government, so supporting LIMITED government, which is the central or key theme to the Constitution makes one a Centrist. NOT a radical right wing.       BruceP, I‘m afraid you have fallen for the left’s definition of the so-called right. They have built a straw man, and you have fallen for it. America’s “right” wing, is just plain, old-fashioned America, the way it used to (minus the racial bias.) The left’s ideas come from Europe, from the French Revolution, and later from Marx and Engels. If Hitler was right wing, and I doubt it, it was right wing by Europeon standards, which is to the right of communism, but Hitler’s views are not this countries so-called right wing views. No, the “right” wants a small government (Hitler had a big one), and this small government would find it difficult to enfore their tyranny. I’m sorry, you need to break away from whoever is teaching you about the right, take a year off, and take a new path, reevaluate and reassess out of the influence of leftist thinking.
