Shocking Facebook Virus Spreading Hardcore Porn on Users’ Newsfeeds

Millions of innocent Facebook accounts are being ravaged by a virus subjecting viewers to hardcore porn, according to several accounts.
Gawker reports that reader Adam Shank describes the images as “REALLY graphic” and appearing as updates in Facebook’s News Feed. According to that site, many Facebook users are getting fed up and beginning to deactivate their accounts and sharing their angst over the site on Twitter:
- IBTREY: “Yep Facebook done turned into a porn site”
- seanniex: “Why is Facebook turning into porn?”
- DriveA_Lexus: Facebook Is officially a porn site…. All I see is sex photos and videos.
- BriannaLaughlin: I can‘t go on facebook anymore because it’s a legit porn site.
There are also reports of something called “Jesus porn”:

The newsfeed for many has become a porn and violence infested smut list of nude photos and videos, graphic depictions of death, and blasphemous mockeries of faith through pornography.
Users are outraged and some are considering deleting their profiles. Actress and director, Courtney Zito, told The ChristianPost, “I have 5000 friends. My feed is littered with porn. I can’t even check my news feed with anyone around because of it.”
She said some of these images show up on the feed while others come through the mail. “Just saw one with a guy who had his skull bashed in and his brains on the street. Another one was the devil… Besides the countless naked girls. I’m about ready to deactivate…,” she said.
Another user, Ana Lisa, was disgusted by the “gross nudes everywhere.”
According to the Daily Mail, the cyber attack is tied with Facebook’s new Timeline feature (read more about Timeline), “luring users into clicking on to it with images of celebrities — then flooding their personal accounts with sex and violent scenes.”
There are rumblings over whether the hacker collective Anonymous could be behind the virus, due to their alleged threat earlier this year to take down Facebook on Nov. 5, which didn’t come to pass. But several groups don’t think the group is behind the virus due to the style of the hack and also perhaps due to the fact that the group recently took down several child porn sites and exposed users.
WPIX from New York reports that Facebook fixed the problem Sunday but graphic images were beginning to crop up again just hours later.

My gut feeling is those who are infected have no protection in place or very easily guessed passwords. I do not post any pictures of me and only make comments on known friend posts.

Hating someone because of their religion is just as bad as hating someone because of their skin color. I am a conservative, I am not politically correct, but I also do not hate any one person and I certainly do not hate any group or religion.
As a Christian the only religion I feel comfortable saying I am “against” would be satanism. As far as muslims, I feel sad that they have been so misled.

Because theblaze hosts cookies that track the sites you visit to tailor ad content for you. For example, I constantly have ads about a game called “Rift” because I was surfing sites on games. I doubt you have the same.

I deactivated my Facebook page and when fin it said I could log on at anytime using my same info so I tried it three days later and sure enough everything was still their which tells me everything I ever said or did on face book is stuck in a hard drive some were :( My pics my friends everything !! just waiting for an out of control Goverment!! I will never join another social network !!

This is pretty much the only reason I use it, we who know need to tell those who don’t know what is coming and what to prepare for. Stand up and be counted. I don’t post silly comments or play mindless games I use it for good, to warn and inform my friends and neighbors.
Is FB is allowing customers to be harassed to get people to shut down their account, which stops communication, or freedom of speech, or ? The internet is so vast that who knows what they know about us anyway, are our bank accounts really protected etc…

If you are a victim of this kind of virus there could be a picture of child pornography on your drive you never saw perhaps embedded within other pictures for a second or two before it vanishes. This picture or image is then on your drive. If discovered by authorities the pc/mac owner will do time for posessing child pornography even though they didn’t know about it. If at any time the image was on your screen, even for a second, the it will stay on your drive for an indefinite amount of time.
Solution: If you think you’ve been a victim of such a thing…reformat your drive immediately. If there are automatic backups being sent to an external drive…reformat them immediately as well.
All Problems Solved.

Posted on November 15, 2011 at 10:09amI have one friend that has 5000 friends. He could probably be described as a mini-celebrity. Up until a year or two ago, he was accepting all friend requests. Then his account filled up, so he had to tell people to go over to his fan page.
I have two other friends with 3850 and 2650 friends; they were both on a very popular television program for a few months and accept nearly all friend requests as well.
I also allow most friends on FB because I run a small business, and I put links on my page. I don’t have Timeline (haven’t seen the point of it), and haven’t been affected by this virus. Until I saw this page, I thought that this was another one of those hoaxes that you go onto Snopes and find out that it’s a completely false rumor.

Posted on November 15, 2011 at 9:09amThe people who are getting in trouble with this are idiots. When you go to a website, you don’t click the “I can’t believer her father caught her naked!” link if you don’t want a virus. Why the heck would you click the EXACT SAME LINK on facebook?
The second issue is of course that if you’re friends with people who are posting these things, they were one of the idiots who did the above. Might want to reevaluate your friends, or inform them as nicely as possible that they may be mentally handicapped. My apologies if your facebook friend actually is mentally handicapped and yet still had enough reasoning to not click the sketchy porn link and then act surprised when it was posted to their newsfeed.
Welcome to the internet, noobies. If it looks sketchy, don’t touch it.

No, if you‘re not on it you’re considered an oddity. If a potential employer in any modern business cannot find a Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn profile of you, you’re already flagged as being out of touch and much less likely to get a job. Any job fair or recruiter would tell you the same. The response to new technology is not to stay away from it, it’s learn about using it and how to not be an idiot.
Pro-tip: If you got this virus, you clicked a link that obviously went to porn. The response shouldn’t be “ah! I quit facebook!” It should be to admit you were dumb and learn how not to be so foolish in the future.
This topic, I can just tell, will be a repeat of the article that was warning people about facebook using cookies to track your site surfing. Most people conveniently ignored the fact that theblaze does the -exact same thing-.

Back when e-mail first started taking off, folks used to open ever blasted attachment or click every stupid link they’d get. However, if a friend or my brother sent me some vaguely-worded e-mail with an attachment, my first thought was always, “better ask to see if they really sent this.”
The same is true for Facebook today. People see something from a friend or relative that has been posted, click to see what this “amazing” thing that is being touted in an atypical post for said friend/relative, and then find themselves infected and spreading the infection on FB. *_*
