Shocking: UK Medics Filmed Offering Gruesome FGM Procedure, as Report Shows 100,000 UK Women May Be Victims

Britain’s Sunday Times is reporting that as many as 100,000 women in the UK may have undergone female genital mutilation (FGM) procedures– with some medics allegedly offering to carry out the brutal surgery on girls as young as 10.

Though the practice carries a jail sentence of up to 14 years in Britain, the paper reportedly filmed a family doctor, a respected dentist, and an alternative medicine practitioner willing to carry out the illegal practice, or arrange for it to be done, on various females in Britain.

The procedure, which is widespread across Africa and parts of the Middle East, involves surgically removing external genitalia and, in some cases, the stitching of the vaginal opening, in an effort to reduce women’s sex drive.  The victims range in age from babies to young teens, and can often suffer long-term damage or be left in agony by the dangerous practice.

While Forward, a charity that campaigns against FGM, estimates that around 100,000 women in the UK are victims of the practice, Britain’s Metropolitan police admits that it has received 166 reports of people who feared they were at risk for the procedure since 2008.

However, according to the Sunday Times, no one has ever been convicted of the offense.

Furthermore, only two doctors have been dismissed from the General Medical Council since 1980 on related charges.

While the dentist and doctor have since denied the claims, the paper is reporting that the doctor suggested taking young girls to Africa for the procedure.  He also recommended a dentist he knew, and the dentist in question told the undercover reporter that he was personally willing to circumcise two girls, aged 10 and 13.

The supplier of alternative medicines allegedly told the undercover reporter that he would perform the procedure on a 10-year-old girl for £750 ($1,208).

Supermodel turned United Nations ambassador Waris Dirie, who was mutilated at age 5 in her home country of Somalia, has campaigned fervently against the practice.

“If a white girl is abused, the police come and break down the door,” she said.

“If a black girl is mutilated, nobody takes care of her. This is what I call racism.”

      Humm….you both miss some points. Read about ”the love doctor” in Dayton, Oh that just decided to enhance his patients sex life by moving it around. Yes women undewent other surgery and,woke up to his surprise. It’s money that you miss cos anyone will do anything for the price. It’s maybe an,over exaggeration as know one knows and they all want/need Bucks to fight back for a billion Muslim women they suddenly will ”speak for” to haul in the really big bucks. It’s all for a good cause on the surface as it always does. So I then ask ”what are going to do about it? And its usually ”create,awareness” and get ”the message out so we can get the right people to talk”. So the ”right”people talk and the usual nothing again. They really don’t have any options cos they have money but no wsy to change the culture of billions as the,same for thousands of years.

      My ”liberal” NPR and Dr. Laura loving attorney sent me a chain email about,Afghan women under the Taliban and asked/said same. Look at how impotent the world against Syria and it’s just one example alone. Londistan is,almost a Muslim town and have been there many times. But it won’t change their culture specially thanks to Obama that just let all the,radicals take over the,ME.     Really? How is race a factor here lady?It’s called islam they like to stone,behead,mutilate,slap around,burn with acid,burn with fire.Because we are a free nation we women would pop a cap in somebody for trying to do this and i would like to think that our men would not take part or allow this to happen us.If you want us on your side on this issue you need not bring racism into it.

    It appears any claim this is the result of socialized medicine is ludicrous. This strikes me as an “under the table” business. If its illegal and you’re a provider in the health care system, you can’t ask the state to reimburse you for an FGM. Granted, the U.K. is sick with PC buffoonery, but you’re connecting dots that I doubt are there.
    If anything, this is the result of having an influx of people from countries where this type of mutilation is deemed kosher. So the Brits who do this are lining their pocket with what is likely a cash only business. That doesn‘t mean some docs aren’t fraudulently making false claims. If so, that’s two crimes for the price of one.
    And, let’s cut to the chase: This is predominantly a Muslim practice. I’m ready for a good laugh, apologists and enablers. Tell me how this is an attack on Islam and that wrecking a woman’s nether regions should be honored and defended.

    Why did Waris Dirie turn this into a “race” issue? It has nothing to do with race.
    It’s all about perverted backward cultures, and so called religions with traditions, that has zero respect for females.

    This practice is done in secret, with the parents’ consent. We can’t fight this fight for them. This practice will never end unless the citizens of this backward culture takes a stand, and says “no more”.

    Most of these mutilations are related to islam, and aren’t we told daily that we are supposed to be accepting of muslims – you know, freedom of “religion” and all of that? The death-cult-of-islam is brutal and dangerous – to themselves and everyone else.

    We have enough on our hands just worrying about the danger that islamists pose to non-muslims, without worrying about the danger they pose to themselves – if they want to hack each other to bits, then more power to them.

YOU would figure as a Ron Paul supporter, YOU would weigh in on a topic like this as Dr Paul is has visited the nether regions of many a woman in his career.       This is a practice that evolved because Muslim men had a hard time keeping their women from running off. Why would a level-headed woman live under Islam? Anyway, they remove the clitoris and stitch everything up real tight. This reduces a women’s sex drive, and as a result they’re less likely to run off with some handsome Christian or Jew. In the West we spay and neuter our dogs and cats – one of the benefits of the practice is they are less likely to roam/run off. Muslim women are pets.

    This is not racism as Waris Dirie claims and while I admire her efforts to abolish this ritual I resent her implication that it would be abolished if the victims were white.
    .
    It is a religeous/cultural practice, it is most often associated with Islam and most often performed in the Middle East and in North Africa.

    The practice is increasing in Europe and England because of the number of Muslim immigrants there.
    This awful, life altering, unnecessary practice should be eradicated.
