‘Shut Up!’: Ed Schultz Unloads on Liberal Viewers Upset Over His Santorum Praise

On Tuesday, we published the video of liberal MSNBC commentator Ed Schultz praising Rick Santorum. Not that he agreed with Santorum’s policies, but he thought Santorum‘s presence on the campaign trail was as good as Barack Obama’s. And if conservatives found that shocking, it seems liberals found it even more so. How do we know? Well, Schultz posted a frustrated YouTube video on Wednesday where he responded to those liberals who have been furious with him. And he didn’t mince words.
HuffPo explains:
Schultz took to his blog to address critics who, according to Schultz, accused him of “eating Santorum’s salad,“ and calling him a ”turncoat.”
Schultz had a simple response: “shut up!“ Schultz seemed frustrated by the criticism and said he went ”as an objective reporter” to find out what was happening on the ground in Iowa. “Whether you like it or not,” Shutlz said, “Santorum is as good as President Obama with a crowd.”
Schultz said that the criticism “kind of pissed him off” but did not get “under [his] skin.” Shultz asked, “are we at the point now on the Ed Show, that I can’t go out and do an objective story?”
Check it out for yourself, and notice the animated facial expressions:

Posted on January 5, 2012 at 4:26pmThere’s a method to this slime bags tactics. Don’t be fooled. Romney is the only that can beat obama. He wants you to support Santorum.
Romney continues to be the only GOP hopeful to lead Obama in more than one survey. The former governor’s support has ranged from 38% to 45%, while Obama has picked up 40% to 46% of the vote in the surveys over the past year – Source: Rassmussen January 5 2012.

Posted on January 5, 2012 at 4:37pmI see you are falling for the liberals trying to pick our candidate again. Liberals would love Romney to be the nominee, then we could have Carter’s third term because Obama is Carters second term. Romney is a RINO. Liberals know if they praise a candidate (like Santorum) conservatives will shun them. The liberals are trying to use reverse psychology and you gullible ones are falling for it. Liberal media has you believing Romney is the only one that can beat Obama. With Obama’s record my dog could beat Obama. Romney will not call Obama’s policies what they really are, Socialist!
Who says Romney is the only one that can beat Obama? The liberal media! Beware!!!!!

Posted on January 5, 2012 at 4:46pmNice copy and paste. Right now, anyone has the chance to beat Obama. (R) or (D) were headed in the wrong direction, spend, spend, spend. It is going to take an actual collapse of something to wake people up. When Obama postponed the economic collapse he just continued the fleecing of America for a little while longer. It doesn’t matter what toys or puppets hedge fund owners play with next presidential term. It all ends the same, like it has been, for the past 30 years.

Posted on January 5, 2012 at 5:04pmI think you have that backwards there Blackhawk, but your not alone. The only one the media have been bashing is Romney, repeatedly. If you supported him, as I do, you would then understand and notice how nearly every commentator out there aside from O’Reilly, Hume, and Krauthammer ( sp) are bashing Romney at every turn. All the name for Mitt came from the Media supporting McCain last election and I all I hear is the Democrats repeating it over and over again. Well, that is, besides all of you who haven’t realized you are being played by the national media yet again. Quite honestly, I now understand why the left has been able to pull off what it has over the years when concerning Republicans. Just as the 2008 Campaign proved it, they play on your fears, your biases and even the underlined discrimination most aren’t even aware of. By doing this, they got us McCain last time. Their plan worked perfectly. Obviously this is over your heads though because so many on here are so full of knowledge your smarter than those intellectual elites. Ok.
Report Post »Look, I can understand those who support Paul, while I do in many ways, but he isn’t modern in his thinking. In a world having life becoming so dependent on technology, if we are invested heavily in remaining modern, we are shark meat to the world. Many on the right wouldn’t agree with me here, but that is because it is only “ideas” they have, reality is a whole different story. Just as the reality of our founders and who they

Posted on January 5, 2012 at 5:53pmRomney is not the only one that can beat Obama and to those who think he is “The One”, they obviously drank the Media Koolaid. They also said Reagan couldn’t win. Of course Santorum can win as well as other candidates….that is if people use their heads and decide for themselves and not be conned by the Media telling them who to vote for. I have to laugh when I see the commentators speak with such authority on who is in and who is out, only to be embarrased days later when they were wrong. It’s rather comical. We the people will decide who is elected, not We the Media.

Posted on January 5, 2012 at 6:46pmRight Romney is the only one who can win, that is why McCain is backing Romney. The only reason the establishment wants Romney is because even if there is enough fear in the country to push voters away from 4 more years with King Hussein, Romney will give you the same at a slower pace just to keep the progressive socialist movement moving forward. This gives the Dems and the socialist four more years to sneak another socialist into the WH under the guise of his just a great person and has nothing negative to attack.
Report Post »People it’s plain and simple voting for Romney or Gingrich is a vote for a Republican progressive. A vote for Obama is a vote for a marxist progressive. Don’t vote for any of these three because they will only ensure the downfall of our Republic. Santorum has caught fire because he is smart enough, can speak well enough and knows how the DC establishment doesn’t work. He has been burned by it already when he tried to play the compromise game when he was in DC before, he knows what the game is now and won’t be going to the WH to compromise with the socialist. He will be going to the WH to place the people of the United States back in to control of their country. We need to show the progressives they don‘t own us and they don’t run this country.
The only way to do so, is to vote for Rick Santorum.

Posted on January 5, 2012 at 8:07pmYou guys still don’t know what RINO means. You seem so ignorant when you use it incorrectly just because you think it’s fashionable to call everyone you dislike RINO.
Romney is not a RINO. He is an actual Republican. If anyone, Ron Paul is the Republican In Name Only. He should be running as a Libertarian Party candidate. The fact that a Libertarian would run as a Republican makes him RINO. If Republicans and Libertarians were the same thing, then there would not be a need for the Libertarian Party (http://www.lp.org/).
Don’t get me wrong, I like Paul. That’s not the point though.

Posted on January 6, 2012 at 6:03amKeith – I’m not going to let the media pick my canidate this time around. Polls at this point are meaningless until after the primary. The simple reason polls show only Romeny beating Obama is because everyone has their favorite pick, and will not look at the other canidates, but that will change once we have a primary winner. Obama will go after Romney on one issue and that is because he is mormon. Now yes we have freedom of religion in our country, but Mormons believe that when they die they will become a god of their own world. I could care less what Romney believes as a Morman as long as he could run the country well, but what do you think the liberal machine will do with that belief????? Exactly, and thats why Romney would lose to Obama
