‘Shut Up!’: Fmr. Clinton Adviser Walks Off Fox News Set During Fiery Interview

During a fiery and contentious interview this afternoon on Fox News, former Bill Clinton campaign adviser Simon Rosenberg had enough of conservative talk-show host Ben Ferguson interrupting and talking over him. The disgust was plastered on Rosenberg’s face. But disgust soon crept from his face to his arms and then his legs, as Rosenberg got up and left during the interview after telling Ferguson to “shut up!”

The two were discussing Clinton’s backstage comments to Paul Ryan about compromising on Medicare. But don’t let the “compromise” subject matter fool you — the two pundits were sure to give an interview that was full of wild disagreement. The main point of contention seemed to be Rosenberg’s claim that Democrats were not fear-mongering. Ferguson found the preposterous, especially considering the recent Democratic ad that portrayed Paul Ryan dumping an old woman off a cliff.

Rosenberg’s frustration escalated throughout the interview. He initially started with a smug look and accused Ferguson of regular rudeness. He then moved on to telling Ferguson to “shut up” and frustratedly asked, “Guys why should I come on this show if I can’t talk?” When Ferguson continued interrupting and accused Rosenberg of pouting, Rosenberg ripped out his ear piece, took off his mic, and walked off set:

The walk-off didn’t go unnoticed by Ferguson. In fact, it gave him the opportunity for one last, uncontested jab:

You’re proving right now by walking off stage exactly why Medicare will not get fixed with Democrats in office. Because, when someone disagrees with you or says that you guys don’t have a plan, you quit and you fear-monger and you say that people are going to die and then you walk of stage. And that’s the problem.”

    I gotta say that Ferguson is REALLY annoying tho. I mean his voice is just one of those voices that shrills me. I dont know why.

    but anyway He’s exactly right on this. And Rosenberg seemed annoyed from the start like he didn’t want to be there anyway.

    Walking off the set really seems to be the perfect metaphor for what Democrats are looking to do to Medicare.

      All of the progressives I know have resorted to this response :

      “What makes you think that you’re so much better than me that you deserve to live while my family deserves to die? What makes YOU so special that YOU shouldn’t have to pay for my healthcare? Why do you want to kill me? Why are you so evil?”

      I thought it was going to be worse by the set up of the piece. Yes, Ferguson did interject a few words a time or two, but not enough to cause Simon to get up and leave.

      Simon had an attitude of frustration right from the get-go, like he was setting himself up to exit the conversation when he had a chance. Plus, up until that point, I’d say Simon had more talking time. Either Ferguson had to stick a few words in or sit there and not get heard.

      At least, that is my take on it.

      Bi-partisan for you is arm twisting the conservatives to agree with you…..

      Your boy Rosenburg got plenty of time to talk, but pouted and stomped his feet any time his “facts” were called out as the lies they are….

      Your own responce is typical marxist tactics…You cannot defend the actions of Rosenburg so instead you attack Allen West and Sarah Palin, two people who weren’t even there, or involved in the piece at all.

He was very thin-skinned and probably used the other guest‘s interruptions as an excuse because he knew he really didn’t have any facts to present. Thats Billy boy for you, you would think he would be a stand up guy and tell the truth but no he plays the role as usual!

      This is what libs do when they cannot win an argument they distort the truth, in this case fear mongering over medicare. Then when they continue with their lies and deceit one feels compelled to interrupt which leads us to the shut up comment, mind you libs interrupt routinely. Then the final act, they claim they cant get a word in, again their words are lies, mistruths, stretched out facts etc and storm off like the little babies they are.

      I encourage everyone here to send Mr Rosenberg a big Blaze hug! I even emailed it to him to further his humiliation. I did get him to come out, after some time and admit that Bush didn’t lie….really. You know their classic Bush’t war, wmds and he lied…..it was a priceless moment when he finally admitted he would have done the same if given the same information. And of waterboarding…we told him, OK, so they have your daughter in Iran and we caught one of the kidnappers….it is certain they will rape her and kill her, would you allow waterboarding? “Well, thats different”. People, in general, have NO IDEA where a job comes from, how it got there, who makes payroll, why each and every employee OWES IT TO THE OWNER(S) to do the best they can to further the business, so they can have a job tomorrow! Showtime are you referring to the Allen West that was forced to resign from the Army?
      After an investigation was going to lead to his dishonerable discharge.
      Just checking.
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      No, I was referring to the Allen West who called in for permission to use a tactic to get information that would save his unit’s lives. He was refused permission. West simply told them to draw up his papers for discharge and hung up.
      He fired a bullet into a clearing barrel, to let the guy know his gun was loaded and then pointed it at the guy’s groin. The guy “spilled his guts” and told West where the ambush was. West honorably put the lives of his men ahead of his 22-year military career.
      That‘s the Allen West I’m talking about.
Why are we not talking about the 500 billion dollars they took from medicare to fund Obama care? How can you be taken seriously when you act like a two year old? My three year old grandson acts more mature. It‘s clear that until there’s another shellacking in 2012, nothing will get done. And frankly we don’t want anyone who had anything to do with Obama care anywhere near the solution for medicare. They are CLEARLY not capable.
      No I’m not left wing and I do not believe the end justifies the means…I’m a Constitutionalist
      Rules of Engagement are created for a reason. Rules of Engagement, hence the name, means how to correctly engage the enemy. Officers are to follow ROE and not following ROE means one has no honor. Many officers saved their mens lives while following ROE. West was scared and went awol doing as he pleased AGAINST ORDERS. How one acts under pressure shows the true character of that person. West cracked. You call honor breaking rules set out before an officer? That’s backwards thinking, or progressive thinking..Ends justify the means….No difference…Did you get upset at bad BO for illegally passing healthcare? He said he had to in order to saves lives….No difference…
      If West had any balls he would of followed ROE and kept his men alive…He’s a vajay jay…Coward who doesn’t have the salt to follow rules…Doesn’t have the confidence to follow rules…Doesn’t have the respect to follow rules…Who wants another president who doesn’t follow rules….Hypocrite!
      Ameleikus –
      You mean the guy who held a gun to an Al-Qaeda terrorist whose buddies had just captured several US soldiers and were planning to execute them in a matter of hours? The one who didn’t actually hurt the terrorist, but did threaten to do so and in the process learned the location of those soldiers and rescued them? The one the Army then forced out due to policies of the three ring circus that passes for an administration right now? That Col. West?
      Yup, THAT is the Col. West Showtime and the rest of us support.
      Also, it is amusing to see Rosenburg’s “can’t speak” meltdown, and your defense of him, when by the clock he spoke for almost 3 times as much time as Ferguson. If by “can’t speak“ you mean ”can’t talk uninterrupted for the entirety of the interview statement” then yes, he can’t speak.
      And you guys thought we had a two-party system of different ideologies?
      You just witnessed the ‘behind the curtians” reality of it.
      Dems & Repubs need to go — every tainted soul in DC needs to be sent to the unemployment line. Leave the states to themselves and their issues. DC is merely a (D)en of (C)orruption.
      @ AKMIIKEUS……………………… West saved his men in spite of politics and half baked rules of engagement. He, in my book is a true patriot and a real man, something you’ll never understand!
      Techeng > “he’s simply a Constitutional Conservative which appears to be a notion that you can’t comprehend”
      Really? I guess Okie knows who is a real man and who is not. I’m guessing Okie served 20 years in the military and had to make a life or death decision.
      West decided he needed to break the rule and he accepted the consequences. He didn’t lie, he didn’t change the rules, he faced the results like a man. Yes, I respect that.
      I’ve been around the block yes and I need not to be told of what honor is but that is irrelevant. The relevance is in your response to if you thought Obama breaking the rules in passing Healthcare, “to save lives” or breaking rules by going into Libya “to save lives” is good as well. Or if Cops can illegal break into homes “to save lives” is ok. All of these are examples of a person in power thinking they need to break the rules just this once “to save lives”. That is the progressive thought process 101. If West did not agree with ROE he should of stood down, never joined the military or worked to change the ROE policy thru the channels available to him. When a person does not follow rules/laws, such person is dishonorable whether President, Congress, Military officer or plain ole citizen. Ends does not justify the means. In the Military, following orders is your duty, your way of thinking, the only option. You have no argument, unless you think Progressive…Wake up…
      I like Paul Ryan. He says the same thing backstage as he does out in public.
      I can’t stand Slick Willy, on the other hand. He agrees with Paul Ryan backstage, but steps out to talk about that river in Egypt on stage…
      Wa, wa, waaa ! What a limp-wristed woosey ! “Progressive” propagandists hate it when the FACTS totally contradict their lies. Anyone who believes the Demagogue party (having no logical or intellectually honest solutions to the looming fiscal demise of these massive entitlement programs) isn’t fear-mongering these issues is an absolute idiot.
      The conservative pundit’s behaviour was in fact “rude”…… Appropriately so ! This pencil-necked “progressive” geek had it coming when he tried to foist his whopper of a lie on Fox’s viewers. We need to see MORE of the same treatment of these progressive a**holes whenever they try to spew such tripe.
      @shazam3. No the jobs that Obama saved didn’t go to the banks, they went to save the jobs of state and local governement employees and teachers. Now that the money has been spent the shoe is going to fall on them this year. All Obama did was put off the inevitable. States must balance their budgets because they just can’t print more money. The benefits that the unions for state employees and teachers negotiated are responsible for a massive deficit in funds, meaning that something has got to be cut. Since the unions insist on maintaining their fat pensions, I guess it will mean that they will suffer from a vastly reduced membership as these people get laid off this year. The Libs just don’t get it. When the money runs out its gone. We just can’t keep kicking the can down the road. Our children’s and grandchildrens future depends on making serious changes to both the Medicare and Social Security system, and NOW! But first, lets start with Medicaid, which is nothing but a big give away. At least some of the Republicans are seeing the light. The others and the Dems would rather stick their head in the sand and hope for reelection. I say throw them all out. We can start in the primaries.
