Posted on April 9, 2011 at 5:57pmIsn’t it interesting that with all the differences of opinions, the division, the disagreements, the partisan politics as usual that the 535 members of Congress in Obama’s 57 states and Obama have passed legislations to insure their taxpayer funded pay checks would be direct-deposited even in the event of a “government shutdown”. Their pay is guaranteed by the constitution, the same constitution that many in Congress think is “silly” and a “waste of time” even after they took an oath to uphold it. The lesson proves they CAN compromise and reach agreement when it affects their own pocketbooks! Speaker Boehner was on record saying he would refund his paycheck if the government shutdown. Meanwhile on the question of pay, the Secretary of Defense, Gates, told a soldier in Iraq, he would be paid for his service in Iraq, said he would be, he just was not sure when. This must be the administrations definition of a morale building meeting. In the midst of the shutdown scam, the public is told the essential and emergency government employees would work and get paid but “non-essential” government employees would not be working. So we have “non-essential government employees on the payroll – why? Obama has brought an additional 200,000 government employees aboard since taking office, this is a feeble attempt to boast “job creation” statistics. All their wages are paid by increasing the burden of the taxpayers. I am very disappointed with the GOP for apparently maintain the “status quo in government as usual”. I expect nothing less from the liberals and socialists of the opposition party and current administration. Perhaps the Tea Party can take this cause on now. It is an obvious failure of the GOP and Democrats, as the one group whose pay should depend upon a resolution is our lack-luster Congress and administration. Meanwhile Nero fiddles and 112th Congress is singing *** baya?

Also, I’m all for no more free health care… I say have Medicaid recipients pay $1.00 for every office visit, and $5.00 for every ER visit. It‘s isn’t much, but it’s something! I’m SO TIRED of paying for their health care, and having them interrupt my sleep for every sniffle 2-3 times a week!!

I was shocked today when I watched a re-run of a Stossel program. In it John talked about a program that gives $50,000 dollars (tax free) to any black person that claimed they tried to Farm at one point in their livf and it didn’t work out. It was given a budget of one billion dollars, and that money is already gone. Now the Democrats want to pass another bill that would up the amount by another 1.25 billion dollars. Some of the real farmers are pretty upset because nobody is watching where the money the goes. One farmer even obtained a copy of the people that had gotten money in his area and showed the Ag Dept name after name after name on it that had never farmed a day in their lives. Evidently this was a small county and this farmer knows almost every black in the county.
Sorry for getting off track, but you get the idea!
