‘Slap the S**t Out of Him’: Wayne Brady Calls Out Bill Maher for Racial Comments

Bill Maher’s tortured attempts at being funny have long since stopped being a source of entertainment for us at the Blaze, and have devolved into objects of pity. Still, Maher, who infamously has thrown every accusation of bigotry he can at the GOP while simultaneously calling harmless daughters of politicians he disagrees with “c**ts,” has to be given some credit for retaining his show while simultaneously behaving like Keith Olbermann without filters. It can’t be easy maintaining such a low level of quality while still retaining your own show.

Nevertheless, Maher has gone so far over the line recently that he’s begun catching flak from his own side. We can‘t say we’re surprised by this – being the less funny, less incisive, pay-per-view equivalent of Jon Stewart should have its problems. Unfortunately for Maher, one of those problems is his inability to talk about President Obama without invoking the very racist caricatures that he himself would slam Republicans for using. And at least one of Maher’s reference points, comedian Wayne Brady, is apparently sick of it.

Confused? Let us explain. One of Maher’s complaints about President Obama is, apparently, that he’s not aggressive enough as President. Fair enough – that’s a common complaint among liberals. However, Maher phrases this complaint in a (to put it charitably) risque way – specifically, by complaining that Obama doesn’t act enough like a stereotypical scary black man, instead acting more like a “Wayne Brady” figure. Never mind that these are both stereotypes, and that if any of Obama’s conservative critics said this, they’d be vilified to the ends of the earth. Right now, that‘s the least of Maher’s problems.

You see, Wayne Brady has heard this complaint from Maher, and understandably doesn’t like being turned into a synonym for emasculation. This led Brady, in an interview on a podcast today, to launch into the following hilarious rant and, we suspect, quite cathartic rant against Maher:

But even Bill Maher — like, I’ve had Bill Maher twice now, when referencing Obama, he’s like, ‘Yeah, you know, with your Wayne Brady.’ So, that means it’s a diss to Obama to be called me because he wants a brother-brother, or what he perceives. Just because you f**k black hookers, just because you have that particular black experience, and I have to stop myself from getting into it, Bill, because I realize the thing is that if I were to go on his show, or even do it online, I’m not going to win because as soon as you back off, he still has his platform to say whatever he wants to.

If he once said I want to know how black Wayne Brady is — that chip on my shoulder says that rarely do you threaten a man and you should not fear anyone. Now, I’m not saying I’m Billy Badass, but if Bill Maher has his perception of what’s black wrapped up, I would gladly slap the shit out of Bill Maher in the middle of the street, and then I want to see what Bill Maher would do.

Now, Bill Maher would call the cops and he would have his lawyer — I’d get sued and lose my house and it’s not worth it for me, but the black man part of me would be so satisfied to slap the shit out of him in front of Cocoa and Ebony and Fox, the three ladies of the night that he has hired … and Fancy, who also happened to be named Tyrique at one point.

Naturally enough, we at the Blaze do not condone violence, and hope that Mr. Brady will not take it upon himself to “slap the s**t” out of Maher. Nevertheless, we do wonder, purely as an academic matter, whether it would work to drive the point home about Maher’s own failings as a pundit.

      @One1: We’re here One1, the problem however is that the comedy business is run by liberals. If you aren‘t a liberal you don’t get work. So you have to create your own vehicle and that takes money. If you don‘t get work you can’t fund your own venture. It’s a maddening situation especially for is conservative comedians and writers with great ideas to parody the left. I am working on a progressive parody website now called 2050 news.       I admit I had trouble following what W.B. was saying but I get the gist of it .       Billy has every right to say that. But it’s wrong and very stereotypical. I love Wayne Brady, but it’s absurd when people want to use violence on someone who simply said something. Not that I blame him for wanting to slap him.

      Who wouldn’t take Wayne Brady over Bill Morwhore 100,000 times over. My belief is that Wayne Brady would have made a more qualified President by at least a million times more so. He is a proven, talented and successful American who clearly loves his country versus Obama’s “I want America to give up it’s wealth and chance for betterment to the rest of the world.”

      Yes .. I am just about done with TV and the movies … last movie I went to was “Monumental” it was great … thank goodness GBTV is going to have more programming .. I have it on my Roku …

      here’s a tip also .. you can get free books for kindle daily .. I have mine loaded up freebies .. I don’t need their stinking entertainment!

      (I do love it when they ATTACK EACH other — would love to see someone anyone slap Maher from here to eternity!)

      Bill Maher is a COMEDIAN. He tells jokes. He doesn’t make policy, he doesn’t have an open line to Obama.
      I happen to love Bill Maher. You don’t. Different tastes. I would put a bullet trough my head if I had to listen to Jeff Foxworthy for 3 minutes. But guess what– I don’t care what Jeff Foxworthy says. Not my taste so I don’t watch. You all have the same option with Maher. Bill Maher has no special power unless you give it to him by watching and discussing/complaining about his every off color joke here.

      He is a comedian you don’t agree with and by your own claims his show is so low rated that nobody seems him anyway.
      Have you really really out of things to be outraged over that you have to go after low rated cable comedians?

      I know one of the staff writers and they DO read this site for their morning laughs. It inspires them. So as far as the writers of the show are concerned – Keep going. It is you that is the butt of their jokes. You are a major asset in the writing room.

    Brady is a talented comedian, the man can think fast on his feet and go toe to toe with any other comedian. Maher on the other hand, couldn’t pour water out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel. The last time I found Maher funny………………..I’m thinking………………….still thinking…………………..I give up…..oh, wait, he was funny when that transvestite beat him up….no, that was Vince from Slap Chop.

    Actually I think a suicidal clown with a bad hair lip trying to recite shakespear is way funnier than Maher. In fact, a Baby Seal hunter telling off color Polish/Nazi jokes would be funnier than Maher.

      I remember Maher doing a stand up bit I think on VH-1 shortly after Desert Storm when the B2 bomber existence was released to the public. His bit was about us having invisible bombers and had something about bumping into it. Wasn’t even remotely funny then either. Okay, I had spent a lot of time in Europe and had no idea what a bunch of bums they had turned into at MTV and VH-1. About all I watched even then was that Spotlight – Flashlight stand up comedy show. That was before we all learned what a dip- sierra hotel india tango that Rosy O’Donnell was either.

      I believe the only reason Mahr is still on HBO is because the big wigs there think just like Mahr. They’re willing to take the hits in the ratings in order to have his anti Christian/Conservative dung slung. They’ll make up the loss of revenue on other shows. It’s political ideology at HBO pure and simple.

      Direct TV keeps tring to offer me Free HBO, I always answer them with “Is Bill Maher still on? Then I wouldn’t take it if you threw in a free Mustang.”
      Their Marketing always takes down the comment, hopefully at some point HBO gets it.

    Right on Wayne Brady. I love this guy. I’m so glad that someone has finally called Maher what he is. I guess that means that Wayne would slap the Bill out of Bill? Works for me.

      I remember back in the mid ’70s when I was sitting around one week day with the TV on in the distance. Phil Donahue was going to interview an African-American politician who had been a pioneer in the early days of the Civil Rights movement. Donahue was trying to be hip and cool during the interview and eventually asked him a question and used the “N” word.This guy’s eye turned red he was so mad. But, hey it was the mid ’70s and Blazing Saddles had been out for about a year. And, like I said, Donahue was trying to be hip and cool. It turned into a regular crap storm. His guest shut down completely at first and refused to say a single word, or even face Donahue. Then it turned into a laugh riot when he finally started talking and Phil was so flabergasted that he could not say anything. His guest took over the show until they finally went to commercial. The rest of the show he sat there with egg on his face, no guest and had to talk about other things. It was funny.

      I’m 69 years old and a cancer survivor, and I would love to get in an octogon with “hooked-nose Bill”. He would either be flat on his back, face down or curled in a fetal postion before the end of the first round.

      Full disclosure, I‘m about 6’, 195lbs and spend 2-3 hours a day in the gym.

      Maher is a nasty divisive creep who I a disgrace to humanity who needs the **** kicked out of him.
