I once had a monstrous, gas-guzzling 1974 Ford LTD. Massive four-door sedan, huge V8 engine with a 4-barrel carburetor. Fast enough, but it had the road-handling manners of a grand piano. Bi*tch to park too. Must have been 20 feet long. Green with a white vinyl top. I bet you could get 10 people in that thing. I’ll always wonder whatever happened to it. This was a long time ago. Early 1980s. Different world.

Ford’s first V-8 was 1932, and came with steel wire wheels. With those wood spoke wheel, I’m thinking the “‘32 Ford Phaeton” pictured is a 1920′s model and not certain that that it is a ford.

I notice a pleasing trend in this listing. Lots of blue ovals, a pleasant dearth of mutant bow ties.

I drive a Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor myself. so I’m completely torn over who to vote for. Good thing the polls are broken so I don’t have to decide.

    1960 Olds Dynamic 88 and 1968 Galaxie 500 Convertable
Back when some time and effort was taken to create a rolling work of art. No computers, no anti lock brakes, and sometimes no Power Steering. You had to know how to drive back then. Now the cars are smarter than most of the drivers.

I had a ‘64 88 and a ’65 88. The ‘64 I bought for $10. It had 62K miles on it. I also had a ‘64 Country Squire wagon. Light blue with woody sides. It had a 390 Police Interceptor engine and 3 on the tree. I loved smokin’ other cars with that sleeper.

Yeah, well you don‘t know what’s really cool and rare is. The new owner of that Bronco is the the owner of JEGS Racing. It’s funny……. I guess he thinks it’s cool enough to add it to his 30+ vintage car collection. Also the two main editors of Old Cars Weekly mag. who has seen every car on 3 and 4 wheels thought it was pretty awesome too, yeah but what do they know?

I might agree that the color is a bit odd, but the vehicle itself was obviously meant to target some midlife crisis entering WWII vets. It looks amazingly similar to the old Willys Jeep.

Nope not “fired up” and definitely not “gay”, just trying to point out you have no clue what you talking about. Yes, as of right now in America everyone is still entitled to their own opinion even though it’s uninformed. Being personally involved in the 66-77 Bronco community myself I don’t know anyone (not a soul) who thinks or would call that truck “gay” and “as gay as a pink Prius!” Some of the biggest Bronco gurus who have seen that Bronco in person have called it the best restored 66 they ever seen. I think it’s been in 1/2 dozen magazines, a calendar, was up for consideration by the Peterson Car Museum and The Henry Ford museum. When it did sell, it broke the record for the highest price Bronco roadster sold. Well that doesn’t sound like a Bronco owned by a “gay hillbilly from Colorado” to me. Although it might not meet your idea of cool (I’m sure you like 35“ Supper Swampers sitting on 5” of lift) you my friend stand all alone on your view, “it’s gay!”

Lighten up!….Get a life!…..The world doesn’t revolve around your interests and hobbies!

Oh, and can I assume you are a liberal since you played the, ‘ I’m smarter than you ‘ card when I disagreed with your fawning admiration for a restored old puddle jumper with a sissy paint job and silver seats?…….ROTFLMBO!!

Since your so interested in what I like as to assume what it is that I like, NO, I don’t do and never have done lift kits and monster tires. No need to talk about what I like or don‘t since whatever it is will be ’stupid’ to you and you will just want to hit me with your purse again. Since I went and hurt your feelings and all by disparaging your favorite puddle jumper. Just call me stupid and show off the ‘knowlege’ you have about stuff nobody cares about but you and a few of your cult members……..You’ll be okay!

Yes…. you right! I know there is not a soul on here who really cares what I think is cool but likewise there no one who cares what you think is “gay” either! Yes, I might be like most guys I know with their classic cars a bit fanatical at times but you didn’t hurt my feelings about the truck! I was just taken back by, “it’s gay” I honestly can say I never heard a vintage Bronco called gay before. Whatever…. we’ll agree to completely disagree, that’s fine each to his own. Right? I was just trying to share a good example of a true correct restored Bronco to a crowd who might appreciate something as rare and unique as this Bronco roadster.

I really don’t care if call any and all Broncos, “gay” just don’t ever call me a LIBERAL!!!!! Those are fighting words…..

A lot of nice cars in there. I like the ‘69 Shelby. I also like the fact that Ford was the only one of our big 3 automakers that did NOT take Obamessiah’s bailout money, and managed to survive and thrive on their own using the Capitalist free enterprise system! Without sinking into the gutter of GM’s green/eco program, Ford is every bit as green as the rest. I hope they go another 100 years and give us some more hot Mustangs!
