$30 million Pounds mostly paid by British Citizens taxes. British press say the crowds are much, much smaller than the wedding of ***** Charles and Die-anna. Additionally, a majority of Brits are not happy at all with this outragous waste of money. See the London Times, The Telegraph, The Independent over the last week or so.

My wife and I got up at 4 am too. It was my 5th time to the bathroom. (at that enlarged prostrate age) and I tried to get back to sleep but my wife was snoring louder than a Husqvarna 357 chain saw, and I woke her trying to turn her in the other direction.

I, for one, am thankful that traditions are being held firm in these uncertain times.

I wish our British ally well. May there be a day when the bust of Winston Churchill is received back in our White House. May there also be a day when we have a President who is respectful to our friends in England, and may that President be on the invitation list for Harry’s wedding.

  It would be nice if Obama had acknowledged the “special relationship” and given the Queen something a little classier than a set of DVDs. But I think that if you check the guest list carefully, you’ll note that almost all the heads of state who were invited are either monarchs or represent countries that belong to the British Commonwealth. This explains why Thailand and even reprobate Commonwealth countries like Zimbabwe got invitations, but the Aerican President did not.

My husband and I got at at 4 A.M. this morning and watched it all on Fox. Gretchen Carlson was a class act but Shephard Smith was often so boorish that he was an embarrassment. Even his co-hostess was aghast at times.
The Quenn PAID – not the public – the royal family put 30 million dollars into the British economy today and united their people as solidly behind them, as the Obama royal household is dividing Americans today.
Isn’t it ironic that the one thing which originally drew colonial America into becoming a Republic (the British Monarchy) may be the same thing which saves Britain in the end, while the world watches in stunned silence as the Republic crumbles before its eyes. God save America.

  The “government” paid for security .. .and they did a very good job. At worse it is a wash .. but I bet they come out ahead … did you notice how many people came from other countries? So I get up early to catch Bret’s rerun and I get non-stop Royal Wedding coverage. The headlines scrolling across the bottom of the screen are real and horrific. We’ve got people in our Southern states suffering and in need, but, the wedding is of the utmost importance. Priorities are grand – pip pip.

  ooh why so angry and cantankerous? It’s a wedding take a break and enjoy the fact that some good goes on in the world..Of all the people who should be singing from the rafters about marriage it’s folks on this site.
  
  I watched a bio of Kate last night and she is a cool chic…commoner whose parents despite living in a negative business climate (England) are self made wealthy because they started some type of party business and Kate worked her butt off to get in the best schools in England. She was very into sports, friends and grades.
  
  The only negative thing I will say is I was disappointed in the dress. I was expecting something WOW and modern…thought the dress was bland and dull and hated the lace. I‘m sure they did not want to make too much of a spectacle because of the economy and all but that dress looked like it came from David’s Bridal…i‘m just sayin’ BUUUT no matter what she wore she’s not gonna make everyone happy.

  I know as an American I’m not supposed to care about this but as a woman I kind of do anyway. I’m happy for the couple. I can’t help smiling at the concept of a modern Cinderella story. This is one story where I’d rather focus on the good instead of tearing down the families and sneering at our British friends.
