‘Slut Walk’ Comes to Texas, Complete With ‘Hey-Hey-Ho-Ho’ Chant

Slut Walk Comes to Texas, Complete With Hey Hey Ho Ho Chant

Rivers (generally) flow from north to south. And so too, apparently, does the “slut walk” trend.

The initial slut walk happened in Toronto last month. But with the movement’s sights set on becoming an international phenomenon, it hit the U.S. of A last week in Dallas. Once again, participants were trumpeting their message of woman’s empowerment, and that one‘s clothing shouldn’t be blamed for her becoming a rape victim.

As with so many protests these days, the slut walkers came up with their own “hey-hey-ho-ho” chant:

“Hey, hey, ho, ho, we understand that no means no.”

“I want to end victim blaming,” protestor Britt Shulte told KDAF-TV. “This is still a really prevailing concept and idea in our society that our apparel dictates the kind of treatment we receive and it dictates the respect that we receive.”

But the walkers weren’t just women. One man showed up to profess his love for sluts:

Slut Walk Comes to Texas, Complete With Hey Hey Ho Ho Chant

Americans can expect to so many more self-professed sluts taking to the streets. According to the group’s website, there are 27 more marches planned this summer, from Boston, to Austin, to Denver.

Sluts unite?

I hope that they get their way. The way a woman dresses or not dresses shouldn’t give anyone ideas of taking advantage of them. But you can dress nice without having left nothing to the imagination. While I hope that they do make a difference of women being raped and hurt. I don’t think this way will get it done.

You hope that they get their way? What the hell is that supposed to mean? Do you not think that women purposefully or subliminally were trashy clothing in order to display their sexuality in trying to attract the attention of others? If you believe like me that that is their goal in dressing so that they have a$$ cheek showing and a foot of cleavage, then you cannot say that she was not provoking that type of behavior. And before you go on any type of rant, I know men and women who have been raped. One was my aunt, if you ever met her you would know that she was not dressing like these sluts or in any way inviting a rapist. She was a complete victim in that ASSAULT. What these women are saying is that they should have no responsibility whatsoever in ensuring their own safety and security. They advocate for tolerance and freedom but I’m damn sure that they would deny me the God-given right to defend myself through the second ammendment. These women do not have a good message on any level. They would further the existance of the police state and the deminishing of everyone’s basic rights so that they can have their cake and eat it too. The term sluts aptly describes them. Don’t be so naive about what they stand for, this is a product of the LGBT movement and its social justice policies. They only seek to change our United States for the worse.

PS I don’t care who a person sleeps with, I really don’t. What bothers me is them trying to cram their social justice bs down my throat and the arrogant behavior that they display while expressing their opinions about things and at the same time telling others that their opinions are void and worthless. Hypocrites all.

“Their message is “teach men not to rape”, don’t you think everyone that is capable of rational thought already got that message?”

Quite correct. Their message is actually the one that holds that all men are potential rapists. They see no difference between the moral man and the criminal, and feel compelled to “educate” us on the meaning of the word no. If they didn’t, you see, then average decent men might not understand that no means no. It’s an insult to men across the board, really. And an indulgence in extreme denial of reality, as I’ve outlined further up in the thread.

Clearly, the ‘sluts’ didn’t educate themselves on how men and women are different. Plus there’s that whole biological thing. What a bunch of idiots.

If you dress like a whore, and get raped, well…I’m all for placing the blame on the rapist, but lady, you share that blame as well if you dress in a way that invites that behavior. Sure, you have a right to dress how you like, but reality shows us time and time again that dressing certain ways can lead to unwanted results. Nice display of the progressive feminist talking points.

Here’s how it works. Men who are inclined to rape don’t give two ***** about you saying no or not. If they did, they would not be inclined to rape. Screaming “no means no!” to a rapist is an exercise in extreme reality alienation. If you want no to mean no, pack a gun, because good men don‘t need the reminder and bad men don’t care what you say.

It doesn’t matter what the woman is wearing or if she is naked, if someone forces themselves on you, that is RAPE and the woman is not to be blamed. @ GhostOfJefferson

Rape isn’t the issue here nor is it the issue made by the Feminists! Its a front for degrading society and the arrogance in dismissing responsibility respect honor and character!

Rape is never acceptable no matter what you look or dress like! Period!
That said; If I ware a Police Uniform and walk around town, eventually someone will think I’m a cop and ask for assistance. If I ware a Slut’s uniform……. By the way its been my experience that women are much more vicious towards how a women dresses than any other people on earth!

This is about respect for Others in society and not being so narcissistic about how its “your right” to dress anyway you want. With rights come responsibility. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should! People need to consider the impact they‘re actions have on they’re own community and what’s right VS what “your rights” say your allowed to do!

I firmly believe issues like this are just as or more important than the Deficit and Debt issue. I think it strikes to the heart of society. I think if we spent more time locally working on real issues in our family first then in school and worked our way out to the federal Government, we wouldn’t be dealing with suck huge problems at that level. Personally, I think we were better citizens when chewing gum was a serious offense in school. Now if you watch TV whore is spelled H.O.R.E

Finally there is plenty of evidence showing the more provocative you dress the more you risk become. Now is that the clothing or the attitude…you decide. If you don’t respect yourself or others how do you expect respect in return.

      Spot on!
Woman’s groups have successfully stereotyped men as the perpetrators and women as victims in all domestic violence situations within the court system. The ‘don’t blame the victim card’ is used to not question anything the “victim” does, including their own violence and makes it the responsibility of the “non-victim”, ie the man, to prove his innocence. Historic statistics show women are as likely if not more likely to initiate domestic violence then men. Men are not the designated ‘victim’ and it is almost always impossible to prove you didn’t do something so men are almost always convicted of domestic violence.
In fact the false domestic violence accusation has become so successful that the American Bar Association now recommends it as a ‘legitimate’ legal strategy in divorce cases.

Given the fact that near 50% of rape accusations are falsely made, this don’t blame the victim stratagem can better be summed up as, ‘don’t question the victims motives’.

      Next up. ‘The fools walk’.
Why you should be able to walk through the ghetto with hundred dollar bill hanging out of you pockets and not being blamed for being robbed.

Sorry Snow, but criminals don‘t give a fetid dingo’s kidney whether somebody consents or not. That’s the flaw in their premise. Normal decent men already *naturally* respect boundaries and the word “no”, and don’t need to be told by a bunch of nagging hens. The men this is directed at by their very nature will do as they wish and will never take “no” for its face value.

This is why sure, I can rightly say that I should be able to walk down the streets of a large inner city ghetto at 2 am in the morning wearing my Rolex, a nice suit and taking out my cash and counting it as I walk, without the fear of being robbed. But reality says I’m making myself a target to those who do not care to indulge in the civilized notion of property rights.

This kind of madness they’re displaying is a sad comment on how far logical discourse has fallen in Western civilization.

While this march me sad, they are exactly right, a woman should be able to wear anything she wants without the risk of rape. DO NOT Rape should be taught to young people.

In my day, women who dressed like that and then said no were called a tease. That said, rape is not usually a crime of passion, but of power. So, most are only vaguely interested in what the woman is wearing, they want an easy target who won’t fight very much. If you ARE going to dress like that, keep your eyes open and be aware of your surroundings at all times. I’m just saying…

Does anyone remember when modesty mattered?
Does anyone remember when “slut” was that LAST thing a woman would want to be identified as?
Does anyone remember when personal responsibility for proper decorum (and staying away from ‘those places’) was in vogue as good advice?

Back then, everyone knew why a female would be dressed as a “slut” – it was so that men would desire to engage in sexual relations with them. It worked then, and it still works today.

One consolation though as evidenced by the video – these women, no matter what they wear, should be safe from normal men with normal sexual desires.

However, no one, no matter what they wear, is safe from the violence that is a rapist. Deter crime by punishing it.

I am a woman and nobody deserves to be raped. However, I disagree that clothing and what women wear has nothing to do with it. When you’re wearing a top that leaves little to the imagination you are sending a message. No means no, but with some of the clothing I see constantly, men are probably thinking that if she’s wearing that she must mean yes.
