Black smoke billowed into the air in downtown Rome as a small group of violent protesters broke away from the main demonstration. They smashed car windows, set at least two vehicles on fire and assaulted two news crews of Sky Italia, the TV reported. Others burned Italian and EU flags.

Watch footage of the protest, via Sky Italia:

Police were out in force in Rome as some 100,000 protesters were expected a day after Premier Silvio Berlusconi barely survived a confidence vote. Italy, with a national debt ratio second only to Greece in the 17-nation eurozone, is rapidly becoming a focus of concern in Europe’s debt crisis.

“People of Europe: Rise Up!” read a banner in Rome. Some peaceful demonstrators turned against the violent group and tried to stop them, hurling bottles at them, Sky and the ANSA news agency reported. Others fled, scared by the violence.

Protesters nicknamed “the indignant” also marched in other cities across the world.

In Frankfurt, continental Europe’s financial capital, some 5,000 people protested in front of the European Central Bank, while in London, around 500 people marched from St. Paul’s cathedral to the nearby stock exchange.

This is exactly what oblamer, his radical friends, soros and the other idiots in his party wants. What are they going to do when all they have left is a bunch of poor idiots to lead. The business world will quit and their entire source of income will vanish, what then. Those leftover radicals from the 60′s are now rich and comfortable but still want to make trouble for the rest of us. Glenn Beck has called all of this to a tee. If we are going to maintain the life we have now be prepared to fight for what is yours cause they will try and take it.

My Local NBC station (NBC2 Ft Myers FL) has been promoting this event 24/7 for 3 days now … on the weather information station .. will they cover violence if it occurs? They show 12 people “planning” events in Ft. Myers and Naples FL and say that Thousands will attend — How do they know? Are they busing them in (ASTROTURF)? They NEVER announced a TEA Party before hand and RARELY even after and NEVER gave a true count of how many attended.

IF this turns violent I hold NBC2 as partically RESPONSIBLE! I have voiced my opinion of their coverage of this event on their facebook page.

      @CatB:

Maybe they should be encouraged to protest in the swamps where the gators live; after all we need to keep the poor reptiles well fed…

On the serious side though, does anyone expect the other fist to show shortly?

Stir up the chaos with one fist; then the other disguised as a “more peaceful, logical solution” a.k.a. Van Jones, comes in as the peace maker to settle the problem. I never thought of this before, yet if Van Jones is able to appeal as a “peacemaker” to the masses of the left, imagine him as the next VP nominee for Obama or as the Democratic Socialist Progressive Presidential candidate?

Somehow that may be one path they are preparing for, a contingency plan in case Obama resigns or God calls him home of natural causes.

A third possibility is this — a scenario with the radical Islamists striking out or appearing to strike out at the US, such as Iran is alleged to have done, and ones like Van Jones, Sharpton, Jesse Jackson Jr and the others suddenly call for the protection of the states, and unity in defense with the Tea Party and others…suddenly appearing as centerists…

With Van Jones riding in on the tall, white horse as a saviour of the nation (and a despot in the making).

Who will Soros throw to the wolves first — VJ, Obama, Unions or the Radical Islamists?

Europe is beginning to catch fire. The violence there will only get worse.

But are we far behind since we are in the midst of potential violence from the OWS crowd?

And that’s not all. Consider: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=355449

“Race riots are coming back to America.”
“Thank God for YouTube. Or else we never would have know that hundreds of times in more than 50 cities since 2010, groups of black people have been roaming the streets of America—assaulting, intimidating, stalking, threatening, vandalizing, stealing, shooting, stabbing, even raping and killing.

“But today the denials are crumbling. The curtains are lifting. We now can see what so many public officials and media have been curiously desperate to deny: Race riots are back.
      (snip)
“In July 2011, hundreds of blacks created an “astonishing” amount of violence at downtown Philadelphia restaurants, hotels and bars.

“July 4, 2011, 10-20black people assault and stab a student and his dog from LaSalle University. He’s still alive, though many people do not know why. The dog probably saved him.

“In Spring of 2010,police break up a black flash mob in the Tioga-Nicetown section of Philly. Kids were bored and acting stupid, said the reporter. The video tells another story.

“Then came the reader comments to the race-neutral stories: Hundreds and hundreds wanted to know why reporters repeatedly refused to identify the race of the attackers.”

GB is fantastic calling out what the left will do next. My only beef with him is that he is a little weak on calling out what to do. How about:

      1. Call your city councilmen / mayor and (firmly but politely) tell them to enforce loitering laws, littering laws, and arrest those who damage property. It ceases to be “free speech” when damage is done or people interfere with flow of traffic. Stop it before it grows to anarchy.
      2. Unlawful assembly is on the books in most cities. Ensure your police enforce it.
      3. Other ideas ??

Cities could make a fortune selling permits, demanding bonds and insurance from the ‘organizers’. If there aren’t any organizers, how do the people know where to assemble, who will publish their newspaper, make their signs, invite all the Hollywood crowd, etc, Vendors could make a fortune selling molotov cocktails and fire extinguishers, tear gas and gas masks, Va-poo-riser, deodorant and perfume, con-dumbs, etc. Television crews could be charged royalty fees on each showing of a film–after all, if the city weren’t there, there would be nothing to film.

Glenn is the only one who offers a well-informed theory as to the origins of these so-called protests.

Geraldo, the delusional advocate of the rainbow utopia, sees these demonstrations as what he terms “spontaneous.” That’s absolute nonsense. If they were spontaneous, we would have seen much chatter between these people on the internet outraged over a unifying issue that would identify who they are and where they’re coming from. We not only are unable to find a paper trail, the people themselves were extensively interviewed and found to consist mostly of malcontents who really didn’t know what they want. They’ve been sucked in by the PC cult.

In the absence of a single unifying issue, as a call to arms so to speak, the only other motivating factor that would send them into the streets are clever propagandists who have prompted them to protest. So Glenn is right. They were prompted to act for the sake of protesting, not for a specific cause.

But, as I said many times, let them go. The chaos and confusion they are causing will only serve to weaken the corporate and federal geeks, which will be beneficial to the average person in many ways.

We are seeing the beginning of a revolution which will eventually turn into civil war. These are the last days of the US empire, not the beginning of a socialist takeover. There won’t be anything left to takeover, but armed militias enforcing a breakup into ethnic and political enclaves.

They will get more extreme now that they have been given this permission and some people are going to get hurt or killed. But the general does not fight the fight – his soldiers do. When a plan is evil and sinister, God will crush them. He always does. When I was stationed in England in the ’80s, a group of protestors camped about a mile from the base for about three years. Every once in a while they would move their camp across the street from the main gate to a plot of ground next to a farmer’s field. The farmer liked the base and when the protestors showed up he would always decide that it was a good day to spread manure. He would make sure he got a lot of it right next to where the protestors were camped. The protestors would then quickly decide to go back to their camp a mile away.

It’s never been about hippies. It is truly about people able to do these things thanks to the mob. It is similar to kleptomania, peeping in windows, etc..dark perverted sides of our nature that only rise up when the opportunity is there. As long as they can hide in a crowd and get away with their antics…they will do so.

So now the occupy movement is going global within other countries. Possible areas where rioting and violence is a more common way to “get your way” than here in The United States. We can expect now the Occupy Wall Street protesters to look at other occupiers around the globe and learn from them how to protest and riot. Just as what has happened in Rome it only takes one group within the entire group of protesters to become extreme to set off the chaos and violence. While I think here in America we should use this event as an example of what we don’t want to do, I don’t think the protesters will view it the same way.

The vilolence only seems to breakout is areas where there are strick gun laws why is that? It my guess that these cowards will only cause trouble in areas where they know their fellow citizens are limited in their ability to protect life and property. America this is why we MUST protect gun rights here! I dare some of these people to show up at my home here in Georgia! PLEASE, hunting season hasn’t even started yet!

In saying that then why not more violence in New York?Mayor Blooperberg hates guns and NYC has some of the strictist gun laws in the country.I think it has more to do with severe unrest and unempolyment with Italy being only second to Greece with debt issues hence most likely high unemployment occurring.

@JFREAK13713– Good for you! I do believe in Texas we have the “Castle Law” and it HAS been tested. I have plenty 3″mag buckshot for any fleabagger who wants to come onto my Central Texas suburban ranch! Sadly enough, there are plenty of apathetic sheeple out there- they want to hide their heads in the sand. Let the fleabaggers get them;THEN they’ll understand. Hey, if Georgia gets overrun, come on over to Texas! Obama and his “organizers”(I REALLY do believe they are the ones behind this!) know how badly the Organizer-in-Chief is doing and they’re getting their army ready. The OIC even said as much when he was running! Check it out for yourself. Something about being funded and organized as well as the military. Well, it’s out there, folks. And some gov’t types are behind it, as well! Mayor Bloomberg! That guy is a gazillonaire. You want them to take over our streets, America? I’ll gladly die defending it, but too many won’t. 21st Century hippies, who are paid to do this, copulating and defecating in the streets. Revolution IS here. You got it right, jfreak. Have a bug-out bag ready to head west. Most of Texas will be safe. Just step around the bodies of the good marxist, hippies, and socialists (of course they’d be good, because they won’t be breathing). May God continue to bless our land.

Obama and the High Road politics of Joel Rogers under the express control and funding by George Soros, Warren Buffet, GE, GM, and the Unions are playing the fiddle.

I hear Uganda is going to send in some advisers to assist Rome. Attempted humor in the light of darkness. Here we go. And America will be blamed for starting this one up.

The banks should have never been bailed out…nor anyone on WS. It was a dumb move…we have existing laws in place to take care of people who take on high risk contracts…

I would never protest it but banks cry when they face a crisis, the gov’t covers their butts and now they hold the cash so no one can use it to make jobs…yeah it sucks. Banks should not have it both ways…and this is going to def-con 4.

If these people were serious about this movement, that is what they would do. Pull their money, close their credit cards and stop applying for loans. Give back their cars. The banks would reform their ways to attract the people back…That is how capitalism/democracy could solve the problem. I am thinking of pulling my money, before the banks decide to fight back.

I would hope cooler heads prevail and not give into the agitators. If the protestors (agitators) destroy parts of NY or any other major city what’s the great loss.

For those out there abdicating weapons orientated responses, chill out please. That being said, I do agree and give notice to anyone that if you come at me and mine your dead meat, that is the way self preservation works (can you say Bill of Rights).

It’s not going to be good for anybody if our young get hurt, no matter how brainwashed.

I know Phoenix started with a small band yesterday, and the main show goes off downtown today and in two (or more) cities here in AZ as well. CATB can confirm this much, if these flea-dwelling skunks want to have a revolution here in AZ, those who make it past the police and start the violence will have a brief “blaze of glory” moment before heading to boot hill.
