SNL Brings Back Al Sharpton Routine: Taking on ‘Jip Morgan’

Saturday Night Live brought back their impression of Rev. Al Sharpton on his MSNBC show, portraying the “Politics Nation” host as a bumbling fool having serious trouble reading from a teleprompter — and understanding the news at all.

“I’m Al Sharpton Lettuce — excuse me, let us talk about what’s going on on Wall Street,” Sharpton, played by Keenan Thompson, opened the sketch.

Moving to his first interview, he introduced an executive at JPMorgan Chase, a firm he called “Jip Morgan.”

“Good evening Reverend, it’s just actually J-P Morgan,” the executive, played by guest host Mick Jagger, corrected.

“OK then, you can call me A-L Sharpton,” Sharpton replied. “Now, it’s being reported that your company lost all this money because of some risky trades made by a trader named the London Whale. Where is this whale?”

“Well it’s not an actual whale. He’s here in England,” Jagger said.

“Oh so he’s on land. He’s beached! Well that’s a shame,” Sharpton sympathized.

“No the London Whale is a nickname for an employee here who made some unfortunate decisions and lost a lot of money,” Jagger explained.

“Well $3 billion. That’s a lot of plankton,” Sharpton said.

    Hire hookers and cheat on your wife… Ed Spitzer TV show on CNN… incite a riot and get people killed… Al Sharpton TV show on MSNBC.

    The only thing that shocks me is that there isn’t a Weiner Show yet… oh wait that’s all of them!

    Ed Schultz, Martin Bashir, Rachel Madcow, all you have to do is say their names and it makes me start laughing. They’re comical at best.

      Just imagine – Sharpton’s ratings are in the gutter and MSNBC cannot fire him, cancel or not renew his contract or they will be labeled a Racist. MSNBC made their bed and now they have to lay in it! If you tune in for 5 sec it counts as a rating if you are using cable. So I never tune in to any Liberal News.

      MIAMI, I have to agree with you on that. I occasionally flip to BSNBC during commercials to get a laugh. Have sat and watched Not So Sharpton a number of times, and SNL, as funny as the skit was really took it easy on him.

      I think you were correct. JZS has had his password hacked and someone is impersonating him.

      No way is the above “jzs” post the real “jzs”. Even his avatar has changed. I think his Uncle has disposed of him and has taken over his Blaze account. Maybe even the entire jzs clan.

      I kind of feel sorry for the old JZS and wonder what his clan did to him. He’s most likely shark bait on a Florida fishing trip by now.

    SNL is dead!

    SNL died many many moons ago when Belushi and Aykroyd left the show.

    I wonder, is General Electric (NBC/MSNBC) so desperate for ratings that they pay pro-American/freedom websites to push their godless anti-American TV shows?
    Are so-called freedom loving Americans so desperate for cash that they are willing to line their pockets with red money and post these video clips?

      I love a good joke, a funny skit and no better thing to laugh heartily. SNL was greatest in the 70′s, but once in awhile they pull off good comedy; even now. Sorry you don’t get that. Last night, Jagger was funny and the Sharpton skit made excellent fun out of the real Al who is one big loser.

      ONE question .. did they do Chrissy Matthews on Jeopardy? That one would write itself .. heck they could just SHOW Chrissy bumbling and mumbling on Jeopardy! Now that would be good NBC .. or that’s right .. they don’t like to make fun of “their own” … Chrissy does that quite well all on his own!

    Wow, not a mention about Barry and Mich having over $500,000 in a JiP Morgan account… and the prez saying JiP is one of the best run banks in the country. Funny huh… he was probably trying to prop up his investment.

    As a side note noticed for a long time that blacks (and liberals) tend to listen to how something is “said” as opposed to what is said.

    Has to be sing-songy and rhymey or they’re not having it. See Al, Jessie, Rev Wright, and Obama for examples. If the glove does not fit you have to acquit.. the trial was over after that… hung jury.

    Obama was able to suck a lot of people (lemmings) into his nonsense using this method… his inflection while speaking… his cadence etc… he could be reading a soap box and make it sound great.

    Try this one… get a transcript of one of Obama’s speeches and read it… and you‘ll come away saying what a load of utter nonsense he just spoke for 30 minutes and didn’t say anything.

    All smoke “in the” mirror and the useful idiots clap and cheer.

    its fine if they lose money as long as they don’t get bailout out with our tax dollars, but those rats pay off people to bail them out. when ever bankers lose their power the economy recovers, despite it happening under oppressive regimes the economy did get better when the bankers were taken out of the picture.

    Black leaders have learned how to manipulate those that choose to follow and many times it’s not about following intelligence or integrity. Truth is, it’s all about tribal instinct and extravagance. Black leaders smart enough to understand this have taken the ball and run with it since the first kick off was

    I really feel for traditional democrats that have some sense of fiscal responsibility and community. You are going to wake up one day and find yourselves in bed with some very bad people who are going to want their payback for voting for your party. I don’t think I need to name them. Democrats continue to overlook the actions and rhetoric of these radical organizations as they threaten life and property. They continue their propaganda campaign to get you to buy into the idea that all republican voters are evil rich people that do not care about economic fairness, that corporations want to put people in chains and make them work for pennies. That is simply recommissioned propaganda.
    Please wake up, take back your party and stand against threats of violence, death and public disorder. If you think these actions are justified for any reason, then you share the thoughts of histories barbarians and oppressors, and you will most likely share their fates.

They have become a hodge podge of factions, each wanting their particular issue addressed, so they will sleep with the devil en mass to accomplish separate goals, even if some faction’s goals are detrimental to others.
