SNL still has a open casting call for anyone that can play Chris Christie and be his size without a fat suit. The moment that anyone can play him, he to will see Russia from his house in Trenton. Most of the people would know of him for the first time when he is maligned on SNL. They will never get someone that looks so close to SP be used to destroy again and they know it.

We could all use a little more laughter in our lives right now. THIS was not it. It did however make me laugh because of the lengths they go to to try to get a laugh. And it shows how ‘they’ see us and don’t see the truth. Even Carville wasn’t funny or true. (but close).
In the 70′s the took the truth and made fun of it and it was funny. Now they take untruth make fun of it and it’s unfunny. And sad, really sad.

Its not that I can’t stand SNL, I use to like that show back when it was funny, but I can’t stand NBC, I have boycotted that channel when I started to see the blatant slap in the face when they would put their leftist dreams in every single episode of LAW and ORDER, and then when they screwed Conan that was the final straw, I have not tuned into that channel since, and you know what I don’t have cable lmao, yes with only 10 decent local channels, I would rather watch a lady sew an afghan on public access then watch NBC.

But the real question is…… will any NBC based organization return to journalism in our lifetime?

I sencerely hope that, in NO way, you guys see any correlation here. I never liked Saturday Night & like it even less now. I guess the “fools rushed in” for that one..The things people say & do for money just amazes me. Greta, don’t even think that remotely resembled you..not in the least..but, I would have had Glenn frothing at the mouth..

They clearly get their “news” from Jon Stewart and Keith Olbermann. This is why it’s so hard to speak the truth to the younger generations … we’re out-gunned and out-manned. There are so many outlets for their disinformation that they start regurgitating each other’s bile until every one of their networks are mumbling the same nonsensical diatribes of moronic spittle. It is very sad and extremely frightening.

Our forefathers warned us there’d be days like these!

Dont underestimate the number of people that watch FOX, if SNL thinks their audience will ‘get’ it, then they realize how many viewers FOX has.
I thought it was funny! They gave both sides a bit of ribbing, but if you pay attention, you realize the left, liberals were the ones trying to incite the anger, which is ok with me, because I think its the truth!
FOX was the one trying to stay civil. They had Carvill and Madow spewing stuff, and the FOX guys just trying to stay calm. I actually love it. Take it however you want.
I got the irony and the joke. It’s all good.

Absolutly!! If Ann Coulter can be a greatful dead fan and go to their concerts all the time then other Fox News watchers still enjoy the Liberal Shows,Movies and Music.. I do not agree with all the Liberal media but there are somethings I do like when it is not about the politics..I watch 30 rock sometimes as well as other shows and to have Alec Baldwin. A super Liberal on the show, I find his acting funny much of the time as long as the politics is left out of it concerning policies. I love the Beatles as well but since Paul has gone to the liberel stance in some of his appearances I just listen to recorded stuff and not go to the concerts or watch his appearances on shows…I started that after he appeared on SNL last.

Too bad the Conservatives lack the huevos to resist this blatant attempt to take the fight out of freedom-minded individuals.

I mean, can you feel that little twinge of guilt when you try to go after the left now, Conservatives? Afraid to cut loose on them now, are you? Feel like you should curb your anger now? Feel like you should be careful not to use too harsh a word since the AZ shooting?

It’s all your fault, isn’t it? Remember how angry you were? Anger is bad, isn’t it?

How perfect would it be if I could force my political agenda on you, take more and more of your money, ignore your pleas for relief from my political blitzkrieg and historical spending spree, sexually assault you and your family whenever you travel, and then help you feel guilt and shame every time you even think about resisting me?

      You said it perfectly.
Even though they control the conversation on TV the left is still losing their argument. All the prime time dramas seem to be laced with the liberal talking points. On Law and Order last night, soda drinking lead to the death of a child and they claimed higher taxes on soda would treat all the diabetics. I turned the channel to Fox. I will watch anything on Fox News before I watch their propaganda. Will they ever get it or do they just not care they are offending more than half their audience with their lefty leaning shows?

I think it was funny. Olby, Matthews, Maher, et al were ignored – that probably ****** them off. Maddow was was mocked for her one issue. ObamaCare was mocked. Death panels (Euthanized) mocked. PETA people mocked (animals are people with fur) – I’ve met too many people that believe that. (as for myself I am a member of the other PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals) Those viewers unfamiliar with the Fox opinion/news team were kind of introduced to them. Tightrope walking O’Reilly is probably was probably disappointed at being left out.

Imagine … Chrissy Matthews, Olberman, Schultz … etc .. foaming at the mouth blaming Palin, Rush, Beck, TEA Party etc .. for this nut case .. and then the TRUTH comes out (NUT CASE) and Gilda Radner would have put it all into perspective with two little words (in character) “NEVER MIND” …. now that was comedy!

HKYFAN36 I think you hit the nail on the head. Other than the chalkboard and doing Beck’s voice you could have put 3 people dressed as brooms out there and had the same skit. Plus they should realize Beck is not opposed to gay marriage. If they had hit an actual irritant like say a big heart around George Soros & Obama, that would have been funny. As it was it just fell flat. However the Carville imitation was funny. As hkyfan pointed out its probably because they’ve watched him enough to lampoon him.

Comedy for the most part is the lack of CIVILITY. Making fun of others and their misfortunes. Letterman did it to Hillary falling down. They use words and word play to twist/spin things for laughter. Laughter is great. I have laughed at clean wholesome comedians and at down right vulgar ones. It seems that politicians are great material for comedians. They also like to make fun of their counterparts. Beck will tell you he is an entertainer. Now what we have are shows that are comedies but really do push POLITICAL AGENDA !!! I feel half the people that comment so vehemently on here, other sites have and comedy writers have NO idea what Beck,Palin, Limbaugh, and the left LOONS really talk about!! I do not listen to talk radio so I have NO idea what they are saying. I am not going to comment or judge without facts!! I do watch all of the networks, read many different sites to get a Fair and Balanced personal opinion. We tend to jump on bandwagons just for the sake of being in the parade. ?????

I agree with the statement that this skit did more to say only the right needs to be civil but the left can be as obnoxious and in your face as always and pretty much say anything they want. I also agree with the statement SNL had no idea how to do the Fox personalities because they don’t watch Fox. The only thing they got right was the all too common knowledge of Beck’s chalkboard yet Carville was spot on as was Maddow I really didn’t think it was that funny (sure Beck not wanting to do this was cute, Carville in Beck’s face gave me a little chuckle but it certainly not land shark material). I agree, they would have had more fodder if they actually went to the people who spew hate almost every night and continue to do it as they blame the shootings on the right – the folks at MSNBC.

It’s funny because we conservatives can laugh at our “exaggerated” selves, unlike liberals. This skit is the exact example of what a poster had written a few days ago about liberals…..”they keep poking the bear till the bear can’t take it anymore, then they curl up in a ball and claim the bear is violent”.

Just a note ….what I didn’t find funny was that reference to “free x-rays” ……well it’s only free to the person receiving it. It’s not “free” for the rest of us who have to pay for it. Seems the libs know this, but don’t comprehend it or care.

New civility???? How about trying some laughter. Laughing at the moronic left weakens them. They have no have no civil defense the truth especially when it is joined with laughter at them. Watch this and be stronger. This new animated movie has gone viral for good reason. http://www.marcrubin.com/Hairmerica.ivnu

Cheez — “I remember when saturday night live was funny…yes I’m that old…”

Me too, I miss the likes of Jane Curtain and Dan Ackroyd doing the Update and the “Firing Line” parody. “Jane, you ignorant slut”.

This one was pretty flat save the Carville caricature. The Hannity froth was indicative of the writers skewed perception and sarcasm, but I found the Beck depiction intriguing.

They captured his restraint and parodied tears for the perfectly valid reason of the defiling of his chalkboard. It was reasonably accurate satire.

LOLOLOL! Glenn cried at the end. Perfect. I would have written more paranoia and fear mongering into Glenneth’s lines. It would have been even funnier.

My bad. I seemed to recollect the CBS 60 minutes Point/Counterpoint segment as being named Firing Line, which, of course was a William F Buckley debate show on WOR-TV then moving to PBS.

William F. Buckley though, was indeed a crazed maniacal right wingnut to have a show with such a divisive, dangerous and vitriolic name.

I guess this is an example of what I have been missing in the 20 years since I stopped watching the show. Maybe if I smoked some rot along with zanex like becksnuts it would be funny to me. Oh well I will just have to settle for laughing at his posts along with all the other lefttards posts here.

A prime example of why I no longer even THINK about tuning into SNL, or NBC or any TV for that matter. Anything I want to see or news is still available on the web. Throw your TVs out the window…you’ll be happier, trust me!

Patriotdaze- well i agree some of the people on the blaze are wound too tight (see the simpson’s threads) I think the overwhelming feeling isn’t that we were offended, but that it just wasn’t funny. Yes, it had its moments, but for the most part they lampooned the stereotype instead of the reality. There was nothing uniquely Hannity or Malkin about either of the characters, they were just names. Thats lazy comedy. The Beck chalkboard bit would have been great, but they ruined by having Maddow write something Beck wouldn’t be upset over. Of course most idiots on the left don’t get that there is a huge difference between Beck, Hannity & Limbaugh. Heck Red Eye does a better job of lampooning Beck than I’ve ever seen SNL or the daily Show do.

I can remember when being a marxist or a socialist was a ad thing to be… now it seems to be just another kind of American. A sorrowful thing.
