NBC
Actor Will Ferrell‘s return to Saturday Night Live as host meant one thing in the show’s cold open: The resurrection of his George W. Bush impersonation.
The former president paid Vice President Joe Biden a visit to console him about the past week; a petulant Biden, played by Jason Sudeikis, was upset that Obama had stolen all the thunder in coming out in support of same-sex marriage when it was Biden who got the ball rolling.
“Everybody says I have, like, a big mouth. But it’s my big mouth that got things done this time, not his ‘careful weighing of options,’” Biden sulked.
“Those smartypants guys are never going to understand speak-first guys like us,” Bush observed. “They’re all brains. You and me? We’re all gut and balls. Every decision I ever made happened between my bellybutton and my thighs.”
Biden protested that he was just “sick of the way presidents are always riding me. I’m an adult!”
Bush said he had gone through the same thing under “President Cheney”: “I’d be in the Oval Office hooking up the slurpee machine, settling into a ‘Charles in Charge’ marathon, and that penguin would come waddling in and yell, ‘Get your damn pants on, we’re going to bomb blabbity-blah-blah-blah! It’s like, whatever happened to be a kid?”
“Politics isn’t fair,” Biden whined.
“No sir,” Bush said. “Well, mission accomplished.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Biden asked.
“It‘s just something I like to say when a problem isn’t solved but I don’t like to talk about it anymore,” Bush said.

Posted on May 13, 2012 at 6:44pmI believe a goodly portion of those gay people know they are living in sin and will not vote for this man. Some probably do think he is stupid. He is not going anywhere unless they figure out a way to cheat this election. Florida is already on to him, as are some more states. Now they better figure out a way to stop the cheating. If they can get Holder fired, then put someone in the Justice Department who is not going to be in there for political reasons, mayb some special session of Congress to do this, and then take the action needed to get this bird out of the WH.

Posted on May 14, 2012 at 10:04amAbsolutely. No way this was a “gaff”. Obama wanted more money from the Clooney fundraiser, couldn‘t get it without supporting gay marriage and didn’t want to be accused of taking a stance on gay marriage in order to raise money, but that is exactly what he did. Biden was there to provide him a cover story. This is community organizing at its finest. If no crisis exists, create one then use it to advantage.

With Biden as VP, there’s no danger of assassination. With Hillary, the danger will be a heartbeat away.
Then again, it could be a case of keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

If by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal,” then I‘m proud to say I’m a “Liberal.” JFK

Posted on May 14, 2012 at 10:01am13th Generation, by Liberal/progressive I mean someone who can see that we have nearly 16 trillion dollars in federal debt, who can see that this kind of debt, along with continued green energy subsidies and entitlement spending have brought the European union to the verge of financial collapse and still wants to keep promising people free stuff in order to buy their votes. Someone who is standing on the edge of the financial abyss and yells FORWARD as a campaign slogan. Thanks what I mean by Liberal/Progressive.

Posted on May 13, 2012 at 2:12pmYeah, it was funny in between all of the usual one-sided conservative-bashing. George W. Bush had to be brought in (channeled by way of comedian Will Ferrell) — as in “Dumb and Dumber” (Bush pegged as “Dumber” than Biden) as Biden’s foil. Humor always deflects Obama-Biden’s outrageous record in office. SNL operates solely for the Democratic White House now.

Posted on May 13, 2012 at 11:47amPlease stop with the lies about Florida. Gore was NEVER ahead in Florida. He never won that state. He wanted to cherry pick the recount and do it until he gained enough votes. And the democrats did everything under the sun to disenfranchise the absentee military voters. They went to court to keep military ballots from being counted. Typical shameless democrat tactics.

Posted on May 13, 2012 at 10:04amIt was very amusing for the first minute or so but, like all SNL skits it went too long. The impersonation of Biden, as always, was spot on. But the ‘stupid Bush’ routine is getting kind of old. When they ran out of material they fell back on the old, tired “Republicans are stupid cowboys” routine which has them rolling in the aisles at the DNC if nowhere else. If the writers could get beyond their contempt for anything conservative, they could write some really funny stuff. But it Bill Maher can’t, I guess there is no reason to expect SNL to strive fro anything better.

Posted on May 13, 2012 at 9:15pmThat is very true. But calling all Republican’s stupid, or cowboys, or racists ( add the usual adjectives here) is like a kid in the school-yard calling another a “poo-poo head”. Not terribly clever, except to members of the grade four brain trust. I guess calling people stupid is regarded as being hysterically funny in liberalville.

Posted on May 13, 2012 at 9:48amTheir talent is great but the context is the issue. Sadly, NBC’s SNL actors & writers are all Democrats, which extend Democrat issues using a satire forum into a political sales pitch aimed at young people.
Report Post »It’s what almost four freaking years and NBC writers are still living the life fantastic lampooning George W. Bush. These are the same pseudo writers who co-share writing material for Obama. So putting one with one together. There isn’t any real separation between satire and politics when it comes to NBC its actors and its writers. One are the same with connections to the current White House President and its staff.
But come on Democrats, its getting a tad long dragging a past President as being the ills bothering you. Hell, Obama has had plenty of time to make political satire commentary worthy of lampooning by SNL writers and actors.
We know the NBC affiliation to the Democratic Party is very close, and lampooning the “Almighty One” isn’t acceptable within the progressive liberal elites.

With that said, I was bothered by their Palin bashing. Her only exposure to the country was her acceptance speech prior to the skit, so most people had never heard of her. Many clueless people formulated an opinion of her based on that damaging skit, Including most (if not all) dumb-a** RINO Republicans.
