SNL: Michelle Obama Debuts ‘The Obama Show’

As part of her ongoing campaign against childhood obesity, Saturday Night Live featured Maya Rudolph as Michelle Obama making an address to the nation to announce “The Obama Show,“ a new ”educational yet laugh-filled” comedy to further encourage fitness and healthy eating.
A take-off on “The Cosby Show,” the sketch included Fred Armisen’s President Obama impersonation trying to emulate Bill Cosby, and Jason Sudeikis as Joe Jamal-Biden — a cross between the vice president and former Cosby star Malcolm Jamal Warner.
Watch Michelle convince Barack to eat a rice cake over a hoagie and Biden essentially blackmail the president into letting him borrow his car below, via NBC:

Posted on February 19, 2012 at 9:04amThe skit was somewhat amusing with the Crosby angle but quite frankly it is tiring that they really never mock the President like they did with Bush or Republicans in general. Since I do not watch the shows, I have to rely on clips like this one, but I have never seen the jokes about his insistence that the stimulus worked while his own base line of unemployment not exceeding 8% never happened. Never saw the sketch about his fantasy of creating millions of jobs yet more people are unemployed then when he took office. Did they portray his rejection of the Keystone Pipeline and lack of new drilling permits as gas prices rise? I can only assume they did one on Solyndra and I’m sure the Fast and Furious sketch was a real knee slapper. Was there the skit of his apology tours overseas? How about always blaming Bush but never giving credit when it was Bush policies that led to success, such as the ending of the Iraq war and the killing of Bin Laden? During the gulf oil spill did they do a skit of all his elaborate parties, expensive vacations and many golf rounds as the oil was racing towards the shore? Did I miss those clips?
