SNL Skewers Al Sharpton and His MSNBC Show

SNL Skewers Al Sharpton and His MSNBC Show

NBC

Saturday Night Live mocked Al Sharpton and his “Politics Nation” MSNBC show, with cast member Keenan Thompson channeling several of Sharpton’s more outrageous moments and his verbose — and not altogether accurate — speaking style.

“President Obama has been pushing this payroll tax hollaback — excuse me, tax holiday!” Sharpton said. “Which has been helping middle class folks up and down America and these Republicans now talking about how it’s bad for this and that and the other. Here’s my question — do these people have rocks in their heads?”

Taking on Sharpton’s most recent MSNBC ad, he later asked whether Republicans are Nazis — blueberry pie-stealing Nazis.

“When I was little, we were playing catch the Nazi in the backyard,” he said. “We put a blueberry pie in a box and the Nazi would come around and try to get it. Isn’t that what the Republicans are trying to do, steal our pie?…Are Republicans Nazis trying to blueberrry steal pie out the box?”

The skit ended with another Sharptonism — the host’s infamous teleprompter flub over the summer, which Thompson repeated nearly word-for-word.

“For push back we much…we must…and we will much…about that…be committed…talk to you,” he said.

That initiation of Sharpton is right up there with Frank Calendo doing John Madden. I still can’t believe a street hustler like that is in national government representing people and hosting a TV show.

Oh USA, how the mighty have fallen.

Knee slapping material is out there, but SNL and the rest of the Liberal talk show choose to ignore it. Instead they are turning over pebbles looking for material, while passing on the rocks and boulders under their noses.

Hey – up until now he has been getting away with not paying taxes and claiming his home as his church. The only problem with this is if he gets away with it the whole country will do it. Think – Jim and Tammy Baker. I think Jim Baker is still in prison. The Rev. Al might get out of it with a pardon from obama. Obama now has 5 pages already with those to be pardoned. On page 3 he has Biden and his own name – this is a first.

Since SNL became so leftist, I STOPPED WATCHING and that has been about 10+ years now. their skits are NOT funny SINCE the days of Bill Murray and Chevy Chase. IN FACT, SNL IS VERY SICK.

And those two opportunities he had was to either retrieve that drone or to destroy it. And he did the worst of the three. And he did absolutely nothing. Shows you how hard up MSNBC is when they give Al Sharpton his own show. Dear Al, Jesse and the CBC(Congressional Black Caucus) do much more harm to the Black Community and Black America than good, which is nominal at best. Between their hyper racism, and their gimme, gimme policies promoted by Obama and his cronies, ain’t much for improvement there, but then, that’s kinda the policy of the Dumocrat Party. Tell the darkies they love em, drop them piddly crumbs periodically and keep them where they want them – under their thumb, otherwise known as the plantation. Same as prior to the Civil War, but now it’s a more disguised masquerade. Hopefully one day Black America will wake up to their prison camp status within the Democratic Party, tell them to shove it, be liberated, get a new life and jump on board the soon to be reformed Republican Party, if there still is one after 2012.
Side note: still needs to be a major revamping of the GOP, not with respect to opportunity for the Black American, because that is already there, but with respect to what the Hell the Republican Party stands for. It is profoundly “dump the RINO” time and the spineless leadership that neither has the balls to stand up and do what’s right, nor the intestinal fortitude to confront Obama and carry things through to the end.

Why is SNL advertising for their sister channel MSNBC? Is this an attempt to boost their ratings? Is a big (special) ED Shultz promo scheduled for next week….maybe Ed isn’t influential enough to qualify for an SNL promo. He is on the same intellectual level as Sharpton though. There is so much on that “news” channel that is quality SNL material. Does SNL get to write off the production of those skits as advertising cost? Now that I am getting up from the John, this no longer interests me…. No longer relevant in my life I guess

This was great! I never watch SNL (due to language, content, intent!), but I could really appreciate this clip–it was SO, SO (rev?) Sharpton!

When I had a TV, I would periodically tune into MSNBC for two reasons, “Know thine enemy”! and, THE LAUGHS! The hosts of so many of the shows there BELIEVE their guests, and worse, they BELIEVE THEMSELVES! Sharpton is a bully, and so out of touch with people who know what “time” it is that he is keeping the “race fight” going for his OWN glory!

To use Al’s much quoted special statement, “We must, much, about that, be committed. . . ,” TO THE TRUTH, as it has NO AGENDA! (unlike those such as Al Sharpton!).
