Thus you are only mocking those your intended audience want to mock. The “humor” becomes the equivalent of drawing mustaches on their face. It’s hardly creative and not true satire at all. It can be amusing in small doses but wears thin fast when iot is the sum total of the comedy presented. That seems to be SNL in a nutshell.

Personally being from Tuscaloosa County Alabama, I would like to see at least one story on the tornado aftermath and how we stepped up and helped each other and didn’t cry from the rooftops for Big Brother to come to the rescue. Beck is always drilling, take care of each other, let the churches do it, be self sufficent and here we are, and not a word.

SNL should be taken off the air, as nobody has watched it for years. Replace it with local programming, like the old “Chiller Theater”, “Elvira”, and “Creature Feature” late-night shows that used to be on before NBC forced their local affiliates to carry their lame corporate programming.
