“SNL” head writer Seth Meyers spared no one in his star turn at the White House Correspondents Dinner, pivoting from jokes about the oddball crop of 2012 presidential contenders to members of Congress to President Barack Obama. He mocked the White House Correspondents Association itself, C-SPAN, the venue for the evening (the Washington Hilton) and the city of D.C.
Some of his best – and meanest – jokes:
“You know how you know I’m not in New York? In New York, no one is excited to go to a Bloomberg party. In New York, a Bloomberg party is five people standing outside of a bar complaining about Bloomberg.”
“Jon Hamm looks the way every Republican thinks he looks. Zach Galifianakis looks the way every Republican thinks every Democrat looks.”
“Donald Trump has said he’s running for president as a Republican — which is surprising because I thought he was running as a joke. “
“Donald Trump owns the Miss USA pageant, which is great for Republicans because it will streamline their search for a vice president.”
To President Obama: “I’ll tell you who could beat you: 2008 Barack Obama. You would have loved him.”
To President Obama: “If your hair gets any whiter, the tea party is going to endorse it.”

Posted on May 1, 2011 at 9:26amNow I remember why I don’t go to local Second City type shows. Went once and was bored to tears. Of course, I was the only one in the room not drinking.
So-called “comedy” roasts do little for me. Just mean spirited, desperate writing and ridicule. I didn’t find this guy funny, I didn’t find his jokes funny no matter who they were aimed at – and yes, I do have a sense of humor. Didn’t even like his delivery or timing.
The folks seemed to laugh based on who was being poked at. I saw some who seemed embarrassed to be there.
Here’s a thought for comedians and media – if you‘re so perfect why don’t you run for office …….

I wish he hadn’t but if the truth be known 90% of the politicians in D.C. probably use the word in casual conversation. Biden comes to mind. Just because both camps use it doesn’t make it right however. Trump has publicly asked for proof of Obama’s citizenship. That would be one of the requirements for being elected to the highest position in the country. Does anyone dispute the fact that Obama has refused to release most of the records from his past? Trump has been called a racist by many in the MSM. The MSM repeatedly calls all conservatives racist. Do they read the entries concerning Col West on this website? Most are very supportive of the black man. Conservatives are more than willing to support ANYONE as long as that person shares the same values. A lot of things are funny in this world but being called a racist is not one of them…..

People don’t want the government to support them- at least those that want freedom more. It‘s pretty sick and is illustrated very well towards the end of the routine how some think that Americans can’t care for themselves and that government should forcibly take the people’s money from them and squander it with minimal returns to the taxpayer and then the taxpayer should be grateful and not fight back.

It’s not that I just caught on- It’s apparent to most conservatives, especially those that follow politics. What was amazing was the joke about Paul Ryan; “He believes the American people are saying -Stop Using My Tax Dollars To Take Care Of Me-”
Who instituted the government to take care of people? The people want the government to stop destroying the dollar by spending and to stop pilfering their paychecks. If it takes cutting entitlements to repay our debt, then how could any American be against cutting entitlements unless they think that America should continue to run up the credit card until the dollar is worthless.

Birth certificate speculation, isolated from other disqualifications, has been a diversion from the fact that Obama’s foreign father precluded his being a “natural born citizen” meaning born on U.S. soil of U.S. citizen parents; he is further ineligible by dual citizenship for being born a British citizen pursuant to the British Nationality Act of 1948, as his father was a British citizen of colonial Kenya.[1]
Obama is not a natural born citizen which, while encompassing a non-naturalized citizen, is a higher quality of citizenship required for only the President by the Constitution. Allowing a usurper to remain in office presents a clear and present danger to our national security and your freedom!
Mistakenly equating a non-naturalized citizen with a natural born citizen, ignores constitutive eligibility exclusions established by the Founding Fathers. Potentially any enemy such as Osama Bin Laden along with a naturalized U.S. citizen, could have a child born on U.S. soil but raised overseas until age 21, then 14 years later be eligible for President. Similarly untenable is allowing Obama’s de facto presidency to set a precedent permitting dual citizens possibly having divided loyalties to be eligible.
Obama recently stated, “We don’t have time for this kind of silliness, Forget the birth certificate “distraction” and focus on what’s really important!”

Cut the crap. If one parent is a U.S. Citizen and a child is born in the U.S., they are a U.S. Citizen. It does not matter what the nationality of the other parent is. This is a dead issue and it is not the Tea Party who keeps bringing it up. It is the “posers” and the “decievers” aka left who keep trying to make this an issue and blaming it on the right or Tea Party. Your JIG is up, now go back to the basement and play videos.
My child was born in Turkey and myself and her father are U.S. Citizens, yet my daughter is a U.S. citizen by all accounts. She also held a dual citizenship with Turkey. Had she been a he and returned to Turkey after age 18, could have been inducted into the Turkish Army. Thankfully, it was my daughter and that premise does not hold.
