So, Who Is Cleaning Up the Wisconsin Capitol After Union Protests?

The protesters may be out, but the garbage left behind most definitely is not.

Cleanup cost estimates range from $347,500 to $7,500,000, depending on who you ask.

So, who is going to take out the trash?

Tea party supporters have taken to Facebook to organize an event called “It’s Time to Take Out the Trash!”:

It’s not about partisanship or protests, but pride.

It is time to take out the trash… literally. In true Flash Mob fashion, on Sunday at exactly 1300 hours (1:00 pm for you non-military types) we will do an extensive police call (pick up the trash) around the capitol square. Regardless of the state the grounds are in, we will do this as both a literal and symbolic way to show our respect for our home.

TEA Partiers know how this is done. It is time to show OUR pride for OUR state OUR way and be the example.
Even if you cannot attend, please share this and invite all of your sane friends who share our love of Wisconsin.

No signs, no screaming, just a necessary cleaning.

The Wisconsin Tea Party is going to do this primarily BECAUSE this circus freak show WILL come to your town. We are leading the way through Scott Walker, and we will lead the way with picking up the pieces in the aftermath. This has to be done and we all just have to suck it up on whatever level we are able. To all those who want to be there, you will be, in spirit, and when this crap happens in your capitol, we will wish we could be there too. I think it says a lot about who we are. And maybe even more about who the opposition is.

If one raised pigs, they wouldn’t let them in the house! The whole thing should never have gotten inside in the first place!
I’m a little unclear about the motivation here. Seems it would be just as logical to have the place(s) cleaned and repaired by professionals and the bill presented to those responsible. My favorite recipient would be the chief of the capital police, Mr. Tubbs, I believe. It is their responsibility to maintain order aned prevent damage. Frankly, I’m amazed the “authorities” do this effort. You can also be sure that there will be derided by the pigs that made the mess. Lets all harken back to the charismatic leader talk about “cleaning up the mess”.

The only problem with this is the “professionals”are taxpayer employees. It seems this TEA Party group is symbolically saving the State of Wisconsin some money. The unions could care less about money, the voters (taxpayers) will just cough up more. that is unless the money in question involves their own wallet.

Didn’t I read that the Unions brought food to the people staying there at night? Doesn’t that seem to show they were in the least Aiding and Abetting? Why not throw them in jail for Destruction or Defacing of Public Property, and make their bail more than enough to have the marble restored. After all, they have to have security cameras that showed the Union Bosses bringing in the food and passing it out?

I’m not labeling all union members this way, but if the shoe fits wear it. You know who you are. The politicians and union bosses put the union mechanism in place and like dumb obedient sheep you coughed up your hard earned dollars in dues and then followed their marching orders beautifully. You did not take a stand based on a CONVICTION of doing what is right for the “children” or education or this country. Not hardly. You are just a bunch of selfish, whinning union clingers that just can’t continue to have it your way. Life is no easy ride and contrary to what your union bosses have conditioned you to believe..WORD UP…THERE AIN’T NO FREE LUNCH. ESPECIALLY AT THE EXPENSE OF THE AMERICAN TAX PAYER. My recommendation. Better rethink this day whom you will serve. Because in the end when the clash in this society begins its not going to be an easy ride. We need to remember, too, that busloads of people were brought in by organizations from other states, and students from schools around the area (remember the ones who didn’t have a clue why they were even there). Perhaps if the “public service” pension fund was charged for these cleanups people would be a little more respectful of their surroundings.

Meanwhile, ‘back at he ranch” .. the Governor is holding fast which I commend.

I do hope that all the wonderful teachers, firemen and women and police officers in Wisconsin and around the world saw Glenn’s show two nights ago. An eye opener! The 14 dem‘s who fancy they are hero’s might want to use this incredible opportunity to come on back to the state and pick up the mess they created.

Much love to the Tea Party clean-up party. Have Fun :)

All you have to do is go back to the 8-28 Rally for Restoring Honor and the 10-?? Rally for Insanity to see how these people feel entitled to destroy public property because maybe they feel that it is not theirs to begin with and they have no respect for property unless it is theirs. It is what Hippies and drug addicts do. Just look at how WoodStock turned out with mud pits everywhere in a grassy field.

When the 500,000 TEA Partiers attended Glenn Beck’s event at the Lincoln Memorial, there was no trash left behind. But the grounds after the inauguration of Obama looked like a sea of trash.

It is the difference in attitude and respect that is outstanding. TEA Partiers have a good attitude and show respect; liberals simply don’t. Liberals feel that they are entitled to “maid service.”

      @AzDebi

Eleven years ago we had a elementary school here in Vegas that got vandalized by a hispanic gang. The initial costs of repairing the damage, including replacing some of the swings, windows, doors and removing the grafetti was fifty six thousand dollers, give or take. After all of the repairs were done? It costed more than two MILLION dollars. And this is NOT a public school mind you, this was a private school (which later closed down and moved to another state becuase they got vandalized ‘again’ a few years later, don’t blame them. What‘s the point of trying to educate the brats when they don’t respect the property of others?)

Sometimes, it has ‘nothing’ to do with Unions when the cost of an item has a wide margin to it.

It makes a great statement about who we are and our values but I‘m sure the press either won’t report on it or will try to make it look like the union protesters are doing the cleaning. Of course as a Christian I know that our Father who sees in secret will reward us openly. I have very mixed feelings about it. I can‘t go so it doesn’t really affect me directly. To Showtime

I had a chance to sit down at the computer long enough to read our state capitol’s newspaper and found out that they actually did rally, but it was only a couple hundred people. I put in a quick call to a friend I know who was tracking this and he said that there would be more people at our 10:30 a.m. church service tomorrow than there were at the rally, BUT he also reminded me that we are a traditionally Democratic state and now have a Democratic governor. Apparently it did make one of our local news broadcasts, but it was more in passing rather than breathless coverage.

Anyone else hear about their state rallies and whether they were a bust?
