So, Who is Murdoch Attacker ‘Jonnie Marbles’?

Jonnie Marbles (real name Jonathan May-Bowles), the blogger, Twitter enthusiast and Rupert Murdoch attacker is elusive to say the least. His blog, titled “Anarch*ist,” with tagline, “Because the state’s not gonna smash itself,” claims the following:

Jonnie Marbles is not the real name of this writer, comedian, activist and blogger.

A Twitvid bio reads quite similarly:

Activist, comedian, father figure and all-round nonsense. Tweeting in an impersonal capacity.

The Twitvid account provides some insight into the man’s interests. Nine months ago, a video posted by @JonnieMarbles shows a man (who may, indeed, be Marbles) on camera discussing a police protest. Watch below:

Just before today’s incident in Parliament, Marbles sent the following Tweet:

Update: UK Uncut, a protest group that opposes public service cuts, sent the following Tweets denying involvement in the incident about 40 minutes ago:

Some are saying that Marbles is a supporter of UK Uncut. Back in December, the two parties had a friendly Twitter “conversation”:

      Yep, guy is an example of what Obama is looking for for his “civilian national defense force just as powerful and just as well funded as our military”, the perpetually unemployed…Obama’s policies are intended to increase the size of the pool and to discourage as many as possible to give up looking for employment.

    Has anyone even considered that the hacking was performed by infiltrated leftists intent on bringing News Corp. down?

    This is one of the left’s favorite tactics (as very well laid out in “Rules for Radicals”): infiltrate the organizations you want to destroy.

    Anyway, this hacking scandal happened years ago. So why this political grandstanding now?

    Finally, as deplorable as the hacking of a kidnapped girl’s phone is, it’s interesting to me that the “public” (dumb sheep) focuses solely on this aspect of the story. Nobody seems to be going after the abductors AND KILLERS of this poor girl.

    In fact, one might say the British government’s focusing on Murdoch and Co.’s exonerates them from explaining to their constituents why they are unable to protect them.

    Case in point, they could not even protect some 80-year old guy today. His 4′5″” wife had to do THEIR job.

    Actually, if I were Murdoch’s wife (not him, but his tiny little wife; it would have a huge impact) I would call a press conference, make this case publicly (”Has the British government created this witch hunt, to take the electorate‘s attention away from the fact that they can’t even protect them? Look at what happened to my husband today!”), and turn the tables around on those grandstanding, corrupt bastards.

    That would show them!

      Yes, Chaban, I have been suspicious about this from the beginning. It does seem very odd that those in power in the UK and here who have outwardly said they want to take down Fox and NewsCorp are the ones holding hearings and calling for investigations here (ie. Barby Boxer, Rockefellar, etc) but are the same ones who still haven‘t held hearings for Maxine Waters and don’t seem concerned about the Fast and Furious operation, both of which effect all of us alot more than some news reporters hacking someones phone to get a story. Not saying it is right but come on, could we get our priorities in order. I would bet money this is being stirred up by the left to distract from the economy and the fast and furious, and they are hoping for a bonus of taking down Murdoch.

    Anybody think Soros might be involved with all of this? After all, Media Matters (and I use that particular term rather loosely) has declared ‘war’ on Fox. So to my way of thinkin,’ this may all be part and parcel of the ever increasing attacks on Murdoch and co. Maybe a little investigation into the associations of the whistle blower and a few others involved in this crap, may just bring about the fall of the ultimate lefty, who would really stand to gain everything from this garbage…..including a lot more power and a lot more coin….which, in the end, is his only goal.

      Absolutely.. and I suspect other media outlets have done the same things.. except Soros has vowed to take Fox down so this is how he is doing it.. obvious. I bet he knows about this because his own orgs do the same thing. Hopefully someone will follow the money and also investigate all media outlets to see if this is a widespread practice.

      All news medias use hackers, cell phone intercept equipment, clandestine listening devices and a whole myriad of technical surveillance methods that until about twenty years ago was the domain of the CIA, the FBI and foreign intelligence. They never get caught because the equipment they use and the operators that use it ARE THAT GOOD! Numerous cases have came up where persons have discovered that their homes, phones or cars had been bugged. Most assume it is the Feds or a private investigator.

      If the media never speaks of doing such things, public or privately, they hire outside contractors (former government or military intelligence/counterintelligence) to do their dirty work for them and pay those persons VERY well for their silence, how could they ever get caught. It is called plausible deniability.

      Yes, the news media does this ALL THE TIME! Please folks, PLEASE don’t be naive! That is very dangerous.

      The whole British Government is to blame for their lax security and in general BS approach to letting members of the press bribe the police to get cell phones hacked…the press people involved should have been arrested at once for doing these things instead of sitting on their butts and then a few years later be horrified that it happened and blame the head of the corporation who’s sitting 3000 miles away for letting it happen…where were the police when it all happened??? I know … taking bribes.
