So Why Is Glenn in the Holy Land?

“It’s time for a movement of compassion and courage.”

That is how Glenn explains the motives behind his renewed mission.

And this mission is taking him on more than just a visit to Israel.

So Why Is Glenn in the Holy Land?

“It’s the axis point of the world,” he explained by phone as he outlined the agenda that triggered this trip.

Glenn arrived in Israel over the weekend, inspired by a project he has been contemplating for a long while. A project that has roots that run for nearly a decade.

So Why Is Glenn in the Holy Land?

But a big part of this trip is a search for clarity.

You may be familiar with the story Glenn often tells of his speech at The Villages in Florida.  After the huge crowd gave a rousing reception to his message, Glenn walked off stage and told a trusted advisor that the plan he envisioned was, somehow, dead wrong.

This sudden trip to Israel is part of a process as Glenn seeks confirmation for plans that he hopes to share very soon.

So Why Is Glenn in the Holy Land?

Will he feel confirmation that his vision is on the right track?  Or will he find conviction that his plans should be very different?

While he’s contemplated the outline of his current plan for many years, the version that solidified in mind began to gel in January.

Glenn says he has been thinking a good deal about Ruth 1:16: “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.”

So Why Is Glenn in the Holy Land?

This message to take a stand resonates with Glenn’s reading about the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and the timeless quote: “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

So Why Is Glenn in the Holy Land?

In end-of-day email from Jerusalem, Glenn described a resonant moment outside a truly holy site and the singing and praise that he witnessed in tears.  Courage and compassion revealed.

So Why Is Glenn in the Holy Land?

Glenn will be broadcasting his radio show from Israel this morning. Listen here.

Ah, well I hate to break this news to you, but Glenn Beck is a freemason. You might say “So what.” Say so what to the millions of real Christians that have been raped, tortured or murdered. Now, we know General/President George Washington was a freemanson as well, however, he renounced the freemasons and never again attended.

You may want to download a really cool pdf file, Vatican Assassins. It will certainly give you a new perspective on the history and future of this group that are controlled by the jesuits, which of it’s self created the mormon faith.

Now, I may sound a little off my rocker with this. I am a sound Christian man, served in the military for twenty years and have eight wonderful children. I am not prone to believing conspiracy theories as Glenn like to toss at you. Trust, I have been an avid Glenn listener for a long time, however, let the truth speak for itself as Glenn would say. Do your research and learn what this hideous group has done to hurt real Christians.

Glenn, if you are a freemason, openly tell everyone, don’t be scared. Van Jones is of the same brotherhood, so you have nothing to fear.

Here is a scripture for you from the book that you don’t believe in.

      Rom 1:22
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
      (KJV)

Considering that fact that you spend a great deal of time argueing against someone that you don’t believe exists, this seems to be appropriate.

Secondly, my position is that believing in the supernatural is a waste oif time since it doesn’t exist, so your statement doesn’t apply to my position in any way. Now go fetch a stick redog. With respect, due to the fact you are apparently a retired Navy man, I find your remarks very, very ignorant. Just for a short reminder about us Mormons: Mormons, for all the other things that set us apart, believe first and foremost that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer.

We believe that through Him, all mankind may enjoy eternal life with their families in Heavenly Father’s kingdom (John 3:16). We also believe that we lived with God as spirits before we were born (Romans 8:16), and that according to His plan of happiness we can come to earth to receive physical bodies in order to learn and grow. Through the work done in Mormon Temples, we believe our family relationships can be sealed eternally. All this is contingent on our living righteous lives according to God’s divine guidance, as revealed by prophets, and repenting when we make mistakes.

Someone else said Mormons think they are prophets, or can become prophets and that is NOT true; we do believe we can become “God-like” but only by living as pure and good a life as Jesus did. And I don’t mean a God, as in replacing Jesus or God the Father, but just the meaning of someone being truly good in EVERY sense of the word.

It would be good if people did some true searching before making untrue assumptions about the Mormon Church (AKA — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!!!

Yes, RetiredNavy: You ARE off your rocker! I laugh to think Glenn is a Free Mason (Description: The origin of Freemasonry has variously been attributed to: King Solomon and the construction of the Temple in Jerusalem,[2] Euclid or Pythagoras, Moses, the Essenes, the Culdees, the Druids, the Gypsies, or the Rosicrucians,[2] not to mention the intellectual descendants of Noah.[3] Some of the more popular theories include Freemasonry being an offshoot of the ancient mystery schools,[4][5] or that it is an institutional outgrowth of the medieval guilds of stonemasons,[6][7] or that it is a direct descendant of the Knights Templar.[3][8]

You too, only know enough about Mormonism to be dangerous! WE (Mormons) are NOT a cult; we believe 100% in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who died for us on the cross at Cavalry. Yes, Jesus was Jewish, and I KNOW that Glenn loves Israel and does get strong spiritual feelings when visiting there, just as most religious people do. Even though the Jewish people do not believe in Christ as we Christians do, really the first real stronghold of Christianity is tied to Jerusalem. Glenn holds the priesthood in the Mormon Church and he knows Christianity from whatever message you are espousing about Freemasons….WOW, it is scary when people with your supposed intelligence, can say some really STUPID THINGS. If interested, go to Mormon.org and ask your questions! No, we don’t have horns and can explain things very thoroughly, even to you.

Israel was established on May 14th, 1948. The six day war, happened on September 13th (my birthday) in 1967 – the year of my son’s birth. Pretty weird, isn’t it – if you are me.

      Diane TX;

In response to your post about Glenn, a couple comments. That ‘beannie’ is called a Yarmulka (sp?) and if I am not mistaken, wearing of it by other than Jews is a custom, a tradition, much like when a female reporter is working in a country where all women wear a scarf as a headcover. It connotes no conversion to the prevailing religion but just signifies respect for local customs, in this case dress.

Regarding Judaism, being Jewish has many meanings. I have friends who are jewish by literal descent, i.e., they are by Blood from the tribe of Judah. One family is Jewish by blood and by upbringing but have now also converted to Mormonism.

Not everyone that calls themselves Christians are Christians. The Mormons believe that God was once a man and that they can become gods. The Catholics pray to Mary repititiously. Some REFUSE to keep the 4th Commandment, to keep the Sabbath. Few will find salvation.
Most of what you have been taught by the Matthew 24 preachers is not true. STUDY THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF. I strongly suggest the KJV… and no, the different versions don’t all say the same thing.

The Six Day War was June 5-10th, 1967, when I graduated from High School. They took Jerusalem on 6/7/67. The Israeli Knesset passed a law that extended its legal and administrative jurisdiction to all of Jerusalem on June 27, 1967. There is a recorded radio broadcasted description of entering Jerusalem, ending with them singing Ha Tikvah on the internet someplace, but the transcript of that event is here:

      Big Tuna,
Use your search engine and type in “Mormons becoming gods” and you will find web sites like this…
      http://www.utlm.org/onlineresources/mormonshopetobecomegods.htm

Go to any Catholic church or tune in to any Catholic TV program and you will hear them with their “Hail Mary” repeated praying.

      As far as the Sabbath, you can see what the KJV Bible says about it at;
Matt 2:21-23 which end with, “depart from me, ye that work iniquity”.
      So, why would Jesus say that He never knew them? Because they didn’t keep the “perpetual covenant” that is mentioned in;
Exodus 31:12-18 Read verses 16 & 17 to find that keeping the Sabbath is a “perpetual covenant” between God and His children FOREVER. Refusal to keep the Sabbath will cost you your salvation.
Matthew 24:4-5 Who is it that says that they come in the name of Jesus? Christian preachers
Who is it that says that Jesus is the Christ or the Messiah? Christian preachers.
Who is it that says that it doesn’t matter what day you keep as the Sabbath or that you should keep Sunday as “the day of the Lord”? Christian preachers and Catholic Priests
So, Big Tuna, I have backed up my argument with scriptures. Where are yours, or do you just attack people with no reasonable evidence?…. I’M WAITING!

I do not agree with Morman belief. But I do realize that Jesus (God on earth), did not come to earth to form a RELIGION or even religions! To understand WHY Jesus, God’s Word (communication piece), came to earth see http://www.teachinghome.com/EM-Elements/Christmas/21reasons.cfm . Realize that all religions are man-made and therefore flawed as are the humans who formed them.

Instead, come to the Father with your heart in your hand, take the salvation of Jesus into your heart and realize that the Father’s Spirit will indwell you as you live and serve Him in Faith. Even our model prayer was prayed to the Father, “Our Father. . . ” Jesus did not separate himself from the Father, the “Father and I are one. . . ” The Father’s Spirit (the Holy Spirit), is not separate from the Father, but is the Father‘s Spirit shared with man at man’s request.

Remember when defending religions: John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone who doesn’t follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow us.”
But Jesus said, “Don’t forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me. For whoever is not against us is on our side. For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you are Christ’s, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward. Mark 9:38-41

We can’t allow a rogue administration loaded with Atheists, Islamists, progressives, liberals, democrats and Communists to interfer with that relationship. Interesting correlations, FREEDOMSFURY. Maybe God is not as subtle as everyone assumes… Anyone for opening their eyes, humbling themselves and righting this country before it’s too late? Fat chance… It is certainly true that God has been warning us with increasing intensity for years with 9/11 being one of, if not THE last chance. We’re pretty dense though, eh? Doesn’t anyone besides a select few know how to read signs anymore? Especially when they are like a brick in the face? How is it that humans can be so brilliant and so stupid all at the same time? I guess those really smart and superior elites have finally gotten their way and dumbed us all down right good-like. Reap the harvest.

When the US dollar collapses there will be a global ‘cleansing’ of an order not seen since Biblical times. Probably inevitable at this point. Pity too. I almost begin to look forward to it now though… Like the blessed sleep of death. We took God out of society so can it really be a surprise when the stones fall on our heads since we removed the mortar? It’s the end of us as we know it and just for the lack of a little love and common sense. The depths of our folly and missed promise is staggering. What could have been may be once again in the future. Though through what horrors does that goal lie?

I can assume that you are a miserable person and just the mention of Christ drives you up the wall. So if you’re not a believer why does it bother you so much, why do you spend so much time on something you don’t believe. I’m not concerned that a flying elephant is going to drop down on my head. You have to believe in something to hate it as you do.

Common Sense Guy. Are you aware that ALL sentences begin with the first letter capitalized? God is ALWAYS capitalized. It’s not god – but God! That’s just proper English.

I don’t think that your poor education in sentence construction will condemn you to hell, but there is such a thing as the accepted way to write things in the English language.

As for Glenn Beck, – I really don‘t know what he’s doing. His ancestry is German, and he was raised as a Roman Catholic as a child. (I was, too.) He’s now a practicing Mormon – which I see as a fringe Christian religion, that I don’t hold against him, since he stills believes in the Christian ideology. However, he’s wearing what Jewish men usually wear on their heads in religious moments, and I don’t understand – “why”?

Adherents to the Jewish faith, reject Jesus Christ as the Messiah, except for those strange “Jews for Jesus” people – who are really Christians, but still call theirselves “Jews”.

Since I know that Glenn Beck is a Christian, I wonder why he’s wearing that Jewish beanie on his head. I only use the term “beanie” because I don‘t know it’s called in the Jewish faith. I certainly don’t mean any disrespect.

A little harsh on COMMONSENSEGUY, Diane, but true. I believe COMMONSENSE is sincere. However, God is His name and therefore should always be capitalized, not only because it’s proper English, but out of respect as well. When I see the use of the lower cap for God, I find it very irritating and always want to correct the person.
As for Glenn wearing the cap, I‘m not sure what that’s about either, other than he thinks he’s showing respect for the Jewish people. Just recently I saw Sarah Palin wearing a necklace bearing a large Star of David during a Sean Hannity guest appearance. I think it’s their show of support for Israel.

Commonsenseguy, since you claim to have common sense, answer this question, using common sense of course. Since it’s common knowledge that people have been here on earth in our current form for hundreds of thousands of years, why did god stand by silently for so long, keeping himself hidden from us, until suddenly deciding a few thousand years ago to make his presence known. And at that point in time, why did he choose to do so to a group of primitive nomads in the ME, rather than to the Chinese, who had writing and the ability to spread the word much more efficiently than any other culture at the time?

It flies in the face of common sense, doesn’t it?

Here is the information on the kippah.
The Hebrew word for this head covering is kippah (pronounced key-pah).
The most commonly known and recognized piece of Jewish garb is actually the one with the least religious significance. The word yarmulke (usually, but not really correctly, pronounced yammica) is Yiddish. According to Leo Rosten’s The Joys of Yiddish, it comes from a Tartar word meaning skullcap. According to some Orthodox and Chasidic rabbis I know, it comes from the Aramaic words “yerai malka” (fear of or respect for The King). It is an ancient practice for Jews to cover their heads during prayer. This probably derives from the fact that in Eastern cultures, it is a sign of respect to cover the head (the custom in Western cultures is the opposite: it is a sign of respect to remove one’s hat). Thus, by covering the head during prayer, one showed respect for G-d. In addition, in ancient Rome, servants were required to cover their heads while free men did not; thus, Jews covered their heads to show that they were servants of G-d. In medieval times, Jews covered their heads as a reminder that G-d is always above them.
Whatever the reason given, however, covering the head has always been regarded more as a custom rather than a commandment.

“those strange “Jews for Jesus” people – who are really Christians, but still call theirselves “Jews”
(BTW “theirselves“”- “proper English” should be “themselves”)

“Strange” what? You do realize that the Jewish people are the Apple of Gods Eye, His First Born that are precious to Him, right? You do realize that if there had not been any Jewish people, Christianity would not exist? Let me ask you this…when Jesus laid His Life down for all of us, do you think He then became a Christian? No, He is sitting at the Right Hand of the Father, very much STILL Jewish! That didn’t change, it is His Blood Line. So these “strange” (as you call them) Jewish Brothers and Sisters that Believe in Jesus are actually very Blessed! God Himself sees the importance of His People as through Paul He tells us, the Gospel is to go to the Jew first, and then to the Gentiles (Greek) .
      Romans 1:16 (King James Version)
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Forgive me, but the word “beanie” is disrespectful, hat or cap would have been a little more appropriate, don’t ya think? But your usage of the word “strange” referring to Jewish Believers, in conjunction with the “beanie” comment seem to say a lot just on there own…

      ———————————–
It’s called a Yamulkah (or Yarmulke). There are many Jewish holy sights in and around Israel where men are not allowed to travel to unless they are wearing one. Also, Jews recognize the covering as a tangible symbolic representation that “God is above us” or in “Awe of the King”. There is nothing that prohibits a non-Jew from covering in the same manner 9especially in Israel) – as it shows a holy respect God in the Jewish faith.

When I went to Israel many years ago, I donned one the entire time I was there. It wasn’t to profess an acceptance of Jewish ideology or faith, but rather, to bring me closer to God in my own personal spiritual walk. It was actually very humbling. Oh, and I was advised by an Orthodox Jew before going – to do so – so I know I was not wrong in doing so.

Way to go Glenn…You’re getting there. For thousands of years, even before Abraham, Mesopotamia followed Gd’s laws. Trace Abraham’s migration with Lot (hundreds if not a thousand or more) people from UR — in southeastern Iraq up to Haran in north Lebanon — where Abraham took Sarai as his wife ; then down to Beersheba, Israel in southwest corner of the fertile crescent region known as Mesopotamia.

Why did Abraham choose a wife from Haran? Were they all part of the same family and culture and follow the same laws? How did ancient people, pre-Abraham, know to cook an animal before they ate it, unlike chimps and monkeys?

They followed the Laws of Noah: The 7 Laws of Noah

1 You shall not have any idols before God.
      2 You shall not murder.
      3 You shall not steal.
4 You shall not commit adultery, incest or bestiality.
5 You shall not blaspheme God’s name.
6 Do not eat flesh taken from an animal while it is still alive.
7 Set up a governing body of just laws.

If any RABBI tells you these laws didn’t exist, the facts of Mesopotamian civilization from Sargon to Hammurabi and Giglamesh prove they are ignorant or WORSE. Rabbis often guard more knowledge than they share because they want to maintain their authority and fear others autonomy. Abraham didn’t go to synagogue. He had common sense of Gd. Israel needs people of PURE FAITH there like you — to rock the boat and reawaken their historical memory. Its hard when Israel has never known a day of peace s

What Glenn is looking for can not be found in the state of Israel, or even in the city of Jerusalem. What Glenn is looking for can only be found in one place, that is our Fathers word. A visit to the land of Israel is a nice place to go to see historical ruins, but the place its self holds not truth for Glenn to discover.

He must seek a teacher of our Fathers word. That he will not find among his current friends nor in church systems. Nor will he find it searching the State of Israel nor the city of Jerusalem. It is not a place that he can go to. And in our current time, it is not something that most church systems can explain. Must church systems were infected years ago by the doctrine of philosophy through Liberation Theology (The bible according to Marx&Engels doctrine). He must seek out a true teacher of the Word of our Father. There he will find the answers which our forefathers knew. There he will find why the USA was born, There he will find the true meaning of freedom.
There is one that I am aware of in the United States.

Humanity is lacking all of it. Glenn is a recovering alcoholic, I can tell you from my own experience Glenn is seeking truth, and he is willing to see life through another set of lenses. He has the character mentioned above. When you come back from the grips of a hopeless place in your life and seek the truth it is an experience that is hard to describe. Glenn is about to learn you don’t have to be Jewish to follow the Laws. After Yeshua’s crucification the people of the Roman Empire more of less adopted Jewish law. One Jewish man in essence took down the Roman Empire. Laws of cleanliness and no paganism until Constantine, the *******, declared Jesus was God (and himself a saint) thereby breaking the first commandment.

Constantine was a Progressive. He lied about the Jews and revised history for his benefit. What do you think the split is between Roman Catholicism and the Eastern Orthodox Church? The Eastern Orthodox don’t believe that Jesus was Gd—just a Rabbi whose legacy is his life, NOT HIS DEATH like the Catholics have it.

      Ugh…

Can I ask a question; does Glenn think himself a prophet? All indications point to yes he does! Now based on his religious beliefs it’s not hard to understand, yet does anyone else here believe in the written word of God? If so, why all the bs?
Is it not written and will it not come to pass or are we so powerful we‘ll put God’s plan to not? I have never seen so much arrogance expressed and spoken then to deny God’s plan and assume we have some power in ourselves to change His plan to reclaim his creation. Which satan currently holds. How else could he have offered it to Yeshua while he tempted him as an offer to drop to his knees and worship him?
I can see I am surrounded by those who claim Israel’s blessings, yes we are grafted into the covenant of promise, as Paul wrote but we do not hold the same position as Israel, we are Yeshua’s bride not the nation of promise. We are promised to “rule and reign” with Christ in the heaven’s not “judge the nations” with the 12.
Glenn is not or will ever be a prophet of God, he may believe this is God‘s will yet it’s based on his emotions and not based on any existing biblical doctrine given to the Church to save either Israel or this world. We were commanded to preach Christ and Him crucified, not to attempt to bring “heaven on earth”. This is God’s role not mans, we live in what is defined clearly as the “dispensation of Grace”. Where all have been found guilty and MUST really on the cross and not doing good work

Sam, I believe your right, yet many have gone astray along with bringing others with them when they failed to follow what God has left for directions. One becomes self appointed and with a degree of sincerity believe God is speaking to them. Here’s the rub; when it goes against the word of God, who do you suppose is speaking or suggesting a direction?
Mormons do believe they have additional prophecy that trumps the Bible, and even if they mis on the prophecy it means nothing, yet scripture is clear how to judge a prophet if he fails. Yep you guessed it, he’s stoned. Yet his religion does not follow the word of God, or should I say they do if it fits the current need.
So my point is either he, or his church has appointed him in a bizar position of prophet. To me it’s bs seeing those who have writer failed to go to the source of righteousness and seem to fail in the study of the scriptures.
I don’t see a problem finding direction from God.

And has anyone noticed how every single Muslim “holy site” sits DIRECTLY atop a Jewish or Christian holy site? The Western “Wailing” Wall is NOT the holiest site in Judaism, it’s only as close to the holiest site (that of Solomon’s Temple up on the mount) that the Moozies will allow the Jews to go. Tolerance and forbearance are given time and time again, but like the camel’s nose, the Moozies keep taking, followed by immediate shelling of Israel.

BORNINTOAWORLDATWAR: Don’t sensor Beck’sNuts. I enjoy reading his posts. The more the better. Every transparent lie he regurgitates simply showcases the superiority of the conservative point of view and every worthless fabrication he concocts is another red brick on his chest. Let him pile them high until he can no longer breathe. They validate for me the utter vacuousness and viciousness of the left and that they have absolutely nothing of worth to offer or say, but only nastiness and jealousy to spit.

Beck’sNuts demonstrates that they cannot create, but only destroy and so in the end will destroy themselves. Sad, but true, yet happy too! He is telegraphing his inferiority, weakness and pent up anger and frustration through his sophomoric prattle. Also, his comments demonstrate that the left has nothing, is nothing and are no match for us. They demonstrate to me how complete will be the left’s destruction in the end. His foolishness practically forces me to feel superior as a conservative and affirm in my mind that the Left’s entire world view is invalid and doomed to failure.

There is no 7 years of tribulation in the Bible…There was tribulation and that was under Rome Popes..This idea 7 years came from Papal Rome during Counter-Reformation, a lie…Look yourself…

Jesus Christ died so all can have eternal life if they believe in him and keep his commandments. Satan wants nothing more then for the world to fight over a piece of dirt, a lie..Jesus needs not dirt on Earth and we need no sacrifice Temple he will bring New Jerusalem. He was last sacrifice…

      @Encinom,

Why are you calling ME a BIGOT for pointing out that Constantine created the Blood Libel that “The Jews” killed Yeshua when your current Pope Benedict wrote in his recent book “Jesus of Nazareth) that the Romans killed Yeshua and the church has lots of ‘splanin to do! Even Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Ratzinger for telling the truth – FINALLY

The church created idols of a man on a cross, callied it God and told the “flock” that the Jews killed Jesus. Gee, instead of sacrificing children to Baal, why not sacrifice the Jews instead?? “They Killed Our Lord” is the excuse for almost 1700 years to incite people against the Jewish people.

You don’t find artifacts from before 323 CE , when people practiced “Christianity” at home, of little statues of Jesus for good luck – like one would expect. It is logical to assume the church created the Jesus-on-a-cross statues for political propaganda. And 2000 years of history bears me out.

Enicom, your reaction to my truth telling sounds like a Muslim when someone questions Mohammed. You are a Pagan-idol worshiping-anti-semitic (insert noun here)!
