Blaze Exclusive: Socialist Mantra Hidden in Grade School Chants

The Promise Of America Is. . . Socialism?  That’s exactly what is being taught in many American public schools.

Under the guise of teaching children to read, the seeds of Socialism are being planted within the minds of young children. Do you believe that the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States mandates the following?

The People’s basic needs must be met in a country. Needs for housing, education, transportation, and health care overseen by our government system.

Those are the words being chanted over and over and over by school children around the country. They are part of an educational program called Building Fluency Through Practice and Performance. This section is called ‘The Promise of America’ and it breaks down the fifty-two word single sentence that is the Preamble.  Here is the original:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Disguised as a reading exercise, the Preamble has been turned into a five page choral project with commentary planted inside this very simple sentence.  Here is an example. Make note of what the children (R5, R6, & R7) are being asked to read after the words ‘promote the general welfare’:

When did the Preamble or the Constitution include the government meeting the people’s needs for housing, transportation and health care?

Instead of teaching the Preamble and Constitution as it is written, schools from coast to coast are indoctrinating children to Socialism thanks to a company called Teacher Created Materials. TCM sells ‘The Promise of America’ to thousands of school districts all across the country as well as over 100 countries around the world. Several phone calls to TCM, its‘ printing company Shell Education and New York City sales outlet Sussman Sales provided little specific data on just how many schools are currently using the ’Promise of America, ‘ but one company rep told The Blaze the “Fluency program is really really popular.”

This kind of training is reminiscent of Soviet-style indoctrination and the recent stories leaking out of North Korea in the summer of 2009 when Kim Jong il was reportedly close to stepping down and handing over control to his son.

Dong-A Ilbo (the country’s official newspaper) stated that North Korea notified its diplomatic offices and is teaching its people a song in praise of the anointed leader.

The North Korean school children started learning the song first.  Indoctrination starts with the young ones.

    American people have been lulled into believe that educators not only know it all but know what’s best.

    America, we’ve been very stupid to allow our schools to teach us to be socialists/communists. Our kids have been indoctrinated and brainwashed for decades now by a system which demands the right to police itself.

    Look how well that worked out – our kids aren’t competitive with countries that have less resources. H. S. Graduation rate in America is appalling, Public Unions elect their own Sugar Daddies and then get salaries and benefits above what’s sustainable. Teachers who should never set foot in a classroom are allowed to stay because of job protecting Tenure.

    It‘s no secret the teacher’s union are indoctrinating our chirrens/chilluns and sending them for further indoctrination by professors of advanced marxism who have co-opted the running of most of our universities.
    The proofs are all around US.Just look at the lemmings demonstrating for their communist massas. And are too stupidly ignorant to realize this.
    Teachers unions must be broken up. They are nothing but marxist working w/ marxist bosses in other unions.
    The public sKrool system MUST be privatize.
    One of the things RR failed to do was dismantle /defundthe NEA .He said he would, but never did.
    Unions are now a world wide conspiracy for socialism. It is just one of the tools in the tool-box of the shadowy massas of the NWO/OWG.

      I have said we have maybe this coming election and the next (maybe another 4 yrs) to hope.
      After that, we are doomed. IMO, we are past the point of no return.
      Cons can’t keep up w/ the breeding patterns/habits of the leftist lemmings. It’s a simple fact they will have the numbers in another 20 yrs. W/ this crap of of anyone can vote. That’s all it takes.
      Socialist /communists have taken over the school system many yrs ago. W/ the intent of indoctrinating the population into zombie robots dependent on government.
      It’s been one of a master plan of the NWO/OWG.
      Long term, the numbers are against conservatives.They can’t keep breeding like rats/rabbits.
      Conserative must work to keep a decent standard of living. W/ taxes out of control, it takes two parents to do so. They have to work to pay for their 2-2/1 children plus the 5-6 chirrens of the govrnment hand-out lemmings.
      The math does not lie.It’s like counting 1 for you 2 for me. 3 for you 4 for me.W/ the Me being the hand-out lemmings.

    And TCM products are used in nearly every school in the country. We need to contact every school board and protest. Teachers are often “mandated” to use certain materials/methods/strategies, and this one needs to be forbidden.

    In the great state of Illinois a bill has been introduced (HB1886) to Dissolve Local School Boards, and have County wide districts. Taking control from the local people (tax payers) for their own schools.. Knowing Illinois, it has a good chance in passing. We are losing control of our schools, one step at a time!

    Get it out NOW! I am a professional teacher. I LOVED my “kids” and I worked very, very hard to help them gain the tools to learn, to think for themselves, to research, to write, to study, to ask questions. Our children do not deserve this s*** being thrown at them in an unspeakable agenda to take over our country, its soul and our children’s minds and souls.

    Call your school board. Call your schools even if you no longer have children in the school system. Your city taxes are helping fund what goes on there, at least in Texas they do. Ask what is being taught. Better still, ask to see it. If you ask for it under one name, it may be being taught under another name, so you will not know the truth. Some airhead flunky on the payroll of the unions may answer the phone and deflect your call. Stay on it until you are satisfied, and do not be “satisfied” until you have the truth!

    Get parents (who care about GOD, the USA, our children) involved and get them on it now. Enough of this bull****!! Take our children back. Take our schools back and get AMERICA back from the communists, marxists, socialists and whatevers who are seeking to destroy us.

    If we stand by and do nothing, it’s going to be real hard to explain this to GOD when we get HOME!

      Too true! I am an education student and my instructors are all pro-union. This is the ONLY perspective that the college students get and, in all honesty, it drives me NUTS.

    I’m a graduate of that school district (Orem High School) from the late 70′s. I hardly recognize what they’ve turned into in the last few years. It makes me sick. I’m sure most parents still have no idea what their children are being indoctrinated with nowadays.

    This type of indoctrination into a leftist worldview is consistent with goal number 17 of the Communist Party as read into the Congressional Record in 1963 by Florida Congressman Alber Herlong Jr:
    “Get control of the schools. use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propanganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of the teachers associations. Put the party line in textbooks. ” How was this read into the record in the first place???

    Thus we see the breakdown of the family unit. The family is under attack by education (as well as other things). If we don’t start spending time with our children, checking their homework, becoming actively engaged in their education, and teaching them ourselves about the true history and meaning of our country and its constitution, the educational system will soon turn children against their parents. People need to suck it up after a hard day of work, turn the TV OFF and get involved in their children’s lives. Otherwise, we ourselves have much to blame for passive ignorance as our children are shaped by perverted indoctrination

    I don‘t think it’s just the public schools either. I’m a little suspicious of the Catholic schools around here too. When I asked my 25 year old daughter what she learned in government class in high school, she said diversity!!! I nearly had a heart attack. I blame them for ending up with a liberal son-in-law, :)

      Catholic churches have been infiltrated. There are only a few that are true Catholic around me. I checked out some of their websites and they have links to the Greening of lent and social justice crap. I am very sad about this, because I trusted them to know the truth.

How dare they circumvent my attempts to teach my children that only people who look, talk, and act the same way they do are godly people?

      Exactly. And by saying that it‘s the government’s job, you‘re saying it’s everybody else’s job but your own. Teachers should be given raises and benefits because they DO A GOOD JOB, not just because they are teachers and are a part of the union. The union makes it nearly impossible to fire crappy teachers, and that imposes on students’ rights to a good education.

      the school system has to be reorganized. fire all teachers and re-hire them making them sign a statement that any teaching outside of whats authorized in books, which must reflect factual history by the school district and parents will be cause for their firing and may lose their pension. lets face it, we the people have let the school system get this far (to watch our kids while we work). we’re to blame. now its up to us to fix it and make it right.

      I thinkl conservatives need to think about things more than just having a Pavlovian response to anything tagged with the label “socialist”.

      Many of the laws that protect you and your family and halp you make a decent living could be labeled “socialist”.

      One example: it is against the law to sell tainted food – that restriction on business could be called “socialist” since it bars food retailers from making additional profit by selling their out-dated stock or the like.

      This is why home schooling has become so prevelent in America. We can’t leave our children to be brainwashed by these monsters. I am glad my kids are out of school now but if they weren’t, I would yank them out and either put them in a christian school or teach them myself.

      No surprise here .. just goes to show that UNION teachers will teach anything thrown at them without question .. parents need the tools to fight this indoctrination .. and that is VOUCHERS . Let the parents choose where to send their children … make these “wonderful” public schools compete.

      First thing I did when I could afford to was pull my son out of public school .. I think many others with VOUCHERS would do the same.

      I thought that also (I was lucky enough to have sent my son to a christian school) then I was talking with a parent the other day … In just two hours (of the parents time) the child is learning MORE than they did in public school. The child of course spends more time — but isn’t that what happens with public school anyway — they send home the work for the parents to teach. It is the time in the “class” that they are using for indoctrination and sending the “work” home to the parents. I even saw on tv this morning they are having classes for PARENTS to learn to teach their childs HOMEWORK … if you are expected to teach the child anyway then WHY NOT homeschool if it is at all possible. Your child will learn more and not what you DON’T want them to learn .. being good little communist/socialists.

      And if even if this is true – how many people writing here do NOT believe that their work place should be safe and that they should be paid a living wage.

      Who among you feel that educating your children (to a standard to compete for jobs within the OTHER 49 states) is unnecessary. Since Texas is already re-writing the history books how would other states fall short of EQUAL education for our kids?

      Who believes that having a safe place for families to live is NOT a worthwhile cause (there are already too many people living under bridges) and BTW that is an unnecessary and immoral expense to the state and government.

      And who believes that all folks deserve the opportunity to not just get well once they are ill (by going to the ER) but to stay well and avoid ER visits in the first place which put a burden of every person in the country?

      ALL of these thisg one might consider to be the ‘Welfare of it’s people”.

      So I guess the ONLY place that everyone agrees that the Federal Government has ANY place is in the military.

      If children only learn words without being able to put meaning to them they will be confused, How do you explain color to someone who is color-blind? How do you explain music to someone who is deaf? All words have meaning and whether you agree or disagree – with the proper education these children will be able to decide for themselves if what they have learned is true – or not. But simply learning words means NOTHING!

      As a home schooling parent of 15 years, I have at times used the TCM work books as a supplement to my children’s work. “How to Write a Sentence”, “How to Write a Paragraph”, etc. As soon as my husband called my attention to this article, I went up in flames!! I called TCM immediately, and was put through to the C.O.O.’s office (name I can’t recall now) but before she would do so, she insisted on knowing which organization I was calling on behalf of. WHAT?!?! I told that woman I was not calling on behalf of anyone except myself; I don’t need any organization to do my thinking or my “getting mad” for me. I told her I was calling for myself, and myself only. She put me through to the C.O.O’s voice mail and I told him I will NEVER purchase anything from TCM again, and I will do my utmost to make sure that no other home schooling parent I know ever does either. I told him that in my opinion, teaching America’s children, even by inference, that the above noted socialist propaganda is in our Constitution, is worse than lying, it amounts to sedition. I left my number for a call back. I wonder if I’ll hear from him?

      Here’s another gem regarding indoctrination, if you haven’t heard this story yet. The previous Wisconsin Governor Doyle (Dem), signed into law in 2009 that teachers in WI schools are REQUIRED to teach children about collective bargaining and unions:

      Scary!!! Very scary!! I plan on going over my daughter’s school textbooks and materials with a fine-tooth comb to ensure this crap is being peddled to her when she gets old enough for school. Same goes for all this “Green Garbage”. It’s one thing to be a good steward of our planet, but to cut off our proverbila nose to spite our face isn’t the answer either.

      And I home schooled my son in the 90s because I felt the schools were too liberal. My son has always called school buses ‘Labor Camp Transports’. He is now a Senior in art college and has been on the President’s List for all 7 past semesters. He has tutored fellow students from public school so they could pass a dumbed down high school geometry class.

      My daughter is getting teacher certification. One of her fellow classmates who is already teaching has failed twice on the general math test. That classmate said, “I don’t know what INTEGERS are. The test is too hard.” keep in mind….. SHE IS ALREADY TEACHING 2nd grade!!!

      Actually, it IS a surprise to some….you see, my friend, every time something like this is reported, more sleeping Americans wake up. Little by little…step by step. Do not brush aside the idea that this might just be surprising and shocking to some people. It’s good that that happens.

      Think about it this way: these are teachers taught by teachers taught by teachers taught by teachers, etc. My point is for several generations teachers have taught teachers and they have a personal interst to see that the system that pays them with the taxpayers money continues. They want to live the lifestyle of the taxpayer,or better, and “need” higher wages to do that.

      How do you fix this? Perfomance reviews and pay, without the guarantee by tennure or seniority might be a good start.

      Its clearly not a surprise to those of us with brains, that can actually think for ourselves. I noticed the two comments below captaincommiekook, or whatever, and could only shake my head in disbelief. He is case and point, my point above, in not being one of those than can actually think.

      I find it incredulous just how these people, loosely defined as teachers, who did not learn this type of garbage while they were in school, could actually sleep at night teaching this crap to our kids today. Mistating, misleading, distorting facts, are just that…but worse…they are out and out lies. And what good does lying to the children do? It does no good…not for the kids, not for our country, and certainly not for their collective future. What’s worse, is now that their lies and deciept are out in the open, they’ve doubled down. Still lies, still deciept…..but now we know for sure.

      It is past time to outlaw liberalism, as they have now shown themselves to be the disgusting cockroaches that they are…you see it in Wisconsin, you see in in Egypt, you see it everywhere….even in our White house.

      You say there is laws that prevent people from selling tainted food, yet every year some one unleashes some sort of salmenela outbreak, or mad cow deases. How many laws stop that from happening? If a state wants to create laws however lean or extreme thats their choice. To engulf the whole nation in some one size fits all is wrong! To have the fed provide a job, health care, and property has to be PAID FOR! And its taxpayers who pay it. In America my freedom includes to be free from you! You like socialism then FINE!! Almost ever other craptacular country has socialism, why dont you pick one and get the hell out “KOOK”!

      I could defend my post better if the Blaze hadn’t removed it – but the reason we keep having things like salmonella outbreaks is lack of enforcement and inspections of existing regulations, and mad cow disease doesn‘t exist in the US because we don’t test for it – instead we call it Alzheimers and tell people to keep eating untested beef…that‘s what the beef industry’s political influence does for them.

      Nothing against homeschooling but I’m not exactly comfortable with many of you tools passing along your narrow mindedness to the “future” of America. Our country is already self-centered, selfish, bigoted, and ethnocentric enough. God forbid our children grow up with at least some sense of the importance of the civil society.

      *Gasp* Access to quality Education for all….
      *Shudder* Access to housing….
      *Shriek* Affordable transportation systems!!!!

      Study the origin and author of the “Pledege of Allegiance”. Francis Bellamy was the Jim Wallace of his time, in every respect. Edward Bellamy, a close cousin, authored the most influential progressive socialist book of the era, “Looking Backward”.

      Unless parents question curriculum and books in grade, high schools, and demand fact-based textbooks, this indocttrination into socialism will continue. I researched an elementary school funded by taxpayers that is location in St. Paul, MN called the Barack and Michelle Obama Elementary Learning School. I looked up all the authors for the books used at the school and found that 99% of the books were written by out right communist or socialist activist. They call the indoctrination “responsive classroom technique”. Take a moment and look up the company that specializes in this technique and you will be disgusted by what you read. Parents need to stand up to the schools THEY PAY FOR and demand to review the curriculum.
