Socialist ‘Revolution’ Leader Calls on U.K. Students to ‘Fight’ as Violence Worsens

U.K. students have increasingly grown violent Thursday as the government has voted to authorize tuition hikes. That violence was encouraged Thursday afternoon by a representative reportedly of the socialist group Revolution, who called on students to fight austerity measures. And according to the group’s website, “fight” may be more than a figurative call.
A video posted on YouTube of the representative’s speech includes the following description:
Freedom, peace, fight tyranny and injustice, white flage revolution power to the people. Autonomy. Calling all people unite for the rights to be you.
According to Revolution’s website, the group wants to “bring down” the current British government replace it with socialism:
Revolution is an international socialist youth organisation. We are a group of young activists who are fed up with unemployment, war, poverty, cuts and capitalism. We want to bring down Cam and Clegg’s millionaire coalition and replace it with socialism. … We want to seize their assets and abolish class society with a socialist revolution. This is what we are fighting for. [Emphasis added]
One of the group’s latest newsletters displayed the “Bring down the government!” message proudly on its cover:
According to reports from the London Telegraph, the students seem to be taking the message to heart:
Protesters hurled flares, sticks, snooker balls and paint balls at officers as they attempted to break through metal barriers.
There are ongoing scuffles as thousands of demonstrators attempt to break through heavy police lines blocking off the Houses of Parliament.
Wooden benches in Parliament Square have been set on fire, and two demonstrators were seen standing on top of the bonfire, watched by cheering protesters.
One video even shows a protester attacking a mounted officer:
In a seemingly ominous warning, a student protester told the Telegraph today that he couldn’t say what would happen if the government approved the tuition increases:
With the vote now in, and the tuition increases official, more violence is expected.

Look at all our state schools here in the states. Football coaches making more then governors.

They have had this socialism nonsense drilled into their heads by their public school then University teachers. It is not their fault, they are just stupid kids who think they know more than their parents…Just as kids always have. I place the blame squarely on our/my shoulders and the shoulders of our parents who let these sixties radicals get such a foothold in the universities.
It is not hard to rewrite history and spin things out of proportion. Castro is a hero, Mao is a benevolent savior, Marx was a genius…The USSR would have worked had they done things right…It is always someone else’s fault…These kids are ignorant, they only know what they have been taught.

They want to act like demonic children, devoid of all sense of conscience, responsibility, and communal membership, then they ought to draw an appropriate countervailing response.

So the key, obviously, is to tear down their freedoms and pay everybody 15% less to begin with so that everybody can have a “job” whether they actually work or not, plus free education and health care and housing and . . . And who is going to pay for all this? They’re already taxed at 50%(max) with the VAT going up to 20% in January.

Maybe it should work this way. College begins after five years in the work place. When you are 25 you can enroll because then and only then will you be considered rational enough (or grown up) to be able to handle facts of life and therefore get a good education because in turn you will have a rational mind to ask hard questions of the information presented to you. You will also be required to have savings in the bank so that when you pay for things out of your own pocket you will have a voice in how the curriculum can be set up. Its a real win-win!
All this from a High School educated man.

I helped put two kids through school. They also worked long and hard to make it happen for themselves, as I did in my day, and their Mom too. The greatest education of life is getting it done for yourself. Apart from that education, all other learning equates to nonsense.
We need to drill into our next generations, giveme, giveme, giveme… a chance to get it done for my self. And we all need to buckle down, clean up our dept with reduced government, to make the opportunities available to them.

They live in a monarchy with a rich elite who have passed their fortunes down for generations (repeal of the state tax will lead us down that road too). They have no hope, no jobs, no money and no future in a world run by multi national corporations who destroyed the British manufacturing base to pursue ever higher profits. All of you who decry these socialists, what is the alternative offered by capitalism? The current system only rewards those at the top. The rest are left with low paying jobs if they are lucky enough to have one. All finance based economies eventually will fail. The western countries need to rebuild their manufacturing sectors and get these kids into jobs or else communism will become their hope for a future. I’m not a lib BTW. I agree with Pat Buchannon on the issues national vs world economics.
