The Solyndra Scandal… Is It Even Worse Than We Are Being Told?

The stink from the $535 million dollar Solyndra scandal appears to be wafting from California, across the country to the White House. Things we have learned, just this week, about this massive, taxpayer-funded green energy jobs scam:

The White House seems to have ignored warnings about Solyndra’s viability…

Congress is asking questions…

The FBI has raided Solyndra’s offices…

And today we discovered that Solyndra, on the heels of a $535 million dollar taxpayer loan, also applied to the Department of Energy for an additional loan of $469 million. The Daily Caller reports that Solyndra asked for the second loan on September 11, 2009 – just seven months after they received the approval for the first loan of more than half a billion dollars.

The second loan request was not a state secret, it was printed in Solyndra’s SEC filings:

“On September 11, 2009, we applied for a second loan guarantee from the DOE, in the amount of approximately $469 million, to partially fund Phase II.”

The story also mentions that the DOE has not yet answered the questions about the second loan, so there is a distinct possibility that additional taxpayer monies were poured into a business that was not on solid ground as it broke ground on a now-empty plant. Perhaps the DEO turned down the second loan request. If so, it would not be surprising to hear someone in the White House take credit for SAVING taxpayers $469 million dollars.

To date, the President has not said a word about the controversial loan to a company he supported and visited in May of 2010.

President Obama’s weekly radio address delivered this morning did not mention Solyndra and all of the jobs and money lost by this failed stimulus project, but he did find time to push to have Congress “Pass This Bill”

Were you paying close attention? President Obama said, “This jobs bill. . . “ five different times, followed by one of the sales points he’s been repeating all across the country as he campaigns for immediate passage of his “American Jobs Act.” But there was not a word about the obviously failure of his first Stimulus plan, a massive $787 billion dollar program filled with bad deals like Solyndra.

    Obama should be stopped right now, not wait until 2012. How much more damage can we take in America from this person! This ‘deal’ – a half a billion ‘deal’ – is just the tip of the iceberg.

      I haven’t heard Beck support Perry. I’d be surprised if he did, since Rick Perry is clearly a Progressive in the same vein as Bush, McCain, or Romney.

      I’ve seen Beck support Bachman and Herman Cain. For me, Herman Cain is currently the best candidate. He’s the closest thing to a Constitutional Conservative.

      CCR, do you really think that the Dem. candidate for governor didn’t try to dig up whatever he could on Perry. White tried his darnest to expose every bit of dirt and had very little success. What could be uncovered has already been and, as someone else has said, Perry at his worst would be 1000 times better than Obama, as would any of the Republican candidates.

      If the President were “impeached” that is the same thing as being indicted. If impeached, the President would be tried in the U.S. Senate, who would vote for or against conviction. If convicted, minimally, he would be removed from office.

      Have you read Herman Cain’s 9 9 9 plan? It’s simple and would generate more income while lowering taxes at the same time. 9% tax on corporations (allowing for deductions for necessary items), 9% personal tax to replace the adjusted tax we pay now, with the only deduction being for charitable contributions (no more being paid just because you have 8 kids or work part time and qualify for earned income credit).. 9% national sales tax on NEW items. So, even illegal aliens who are working under the table for cash, will have to pay a 9% tax on anything new they buy. If you don’t want that tax, buy used, which is recycling stuff and “saves the environment.”

      I agree with you. I can not understand why, since the republicans “and half of them are representing the tea party”, control the house of reps. that they do not pass articles of impeachment. True it will not go anywhere, especially with Mr. Red (or Reed, typo), but it may get their attention.

      I don’t think Beck has come out and said he “endorses” Perry……….but actions speak loudly. He has constantly protected, talked about Perry and “protects” him.

I do like Cain but think is a tremendous long shot for him to beat Obama IF the GOP. I would love to see Cain in a GOP VP/cabinet. We NEED great guys like Cain to help our country.

      Whoever mentioned the Dems trying to dig up “dirt” on Perry, you have a point. But, one must remember that REPUBLICANS are the “big guys” in TX. They are NOT the big guys in the MEDIA. This will be much more easily done on a national level. I think that is the truth, unfair as it is, but the Republicans will have FAR greater scrutiny than did Obama!

      Gerald Celente who states he is a “political atheist” said recently Obama would be reelected because “MOST” would not vote themselves less in entitlements. It’s as simple as that. The Republican platform is calling for “less government” and more “responsibility”. It I am sadly afraid won’t happen due to the tough economic conditions and people that would rather have “entitlements” and “less liberty”.

      Obama knows he will not be booted out. Can you imagine the riots that would happen if he was impeached? Remember the whole Rodney King thing? I have seen many elections and have been worried at how some of them turned out, this is the first time I am actually scarred about what is coming next. I have a feeling that if he is losing Marshal law will be started and things will get bad really quickly. I hope I am wrong. He has the media on his side, Just look at the gas prices, when they were at $3.25 the media was beating up on GW everyday , he opened drilling and the price dropped. Obama locked out drilling, put 80,000 People out of work, and the prices is hanging around $3.80 for a gallon of gas, and yet the media stays silent. so many more this but this man is just plain scary.

      I agree with you Jaycen. Cain’s the best candidate of the lot and though I will vote for him in the Primaries and support him, he will probably not get the nod. If either Perry or Romney does, I‘ll pinch my nose with both hands and pull the lever with my elbow for them since I’m all abO. :)

    So–who goes to jail over this? Oh thats right —nobody. because they are all above the law. Here’s what kills me: Obama and his groupies wants to tax people who have garage sales, or sell stuff on ebay to pay for what they buy on ebay (called “collecting” unless you are a business) so they can squuueeeeeze blood from a stone. They want the rich to just hand over their wealth that they are smart enough to grow(I aint rich, but I dont do class warfare because its ridiculous). They cry broke! broke! deficit!…but they can throw away $535 million dollars in tax payer revenue and just shrug it off and go “Oh well”.? Or “how did that happen? The US government could destroy an anvil…they are incapable of doing anything correctly. Yet now we ae going to trust them with healthcare and every other avenue of life. We’re doomed.

      When you put it that way, I’m ready to sit in a tub of warm water with the radio plugged in next to me & a razor blade in my hand…..
      Sometimes, just sometimes I get this feeling of hoplessness with this admin. Fast & furious, Solyndra, entitlements, the list goes on & on and I’m down to laying off the last of my people due to NO WORK….
      I have visions of signing up for food stamps by the end of this admin.

    Do you realize ( I just thought about this), literally ANY time there is a video of Obama talking on this sight, I cannot bear to push that little white arrow in the middle of his nose.

    Normally I enjoy clicking on the button and keeping the arrow there, “reaming” Nancy‘s or Harry’s, or Shumer’s nose while they are talking and taking themselves SO SERIOUSLY(I know it’s juvenile, but I spend the rest of my day being an adult).

    But with Obama, I can’t even click the button, i’m SO SICK of hearing his voice! Besides I could say it in my sleep, “Evil Rich, Big Corporations, Fat Cats, etc., etc., etc…….”

      Indeed, he needs to be removed from office by impeachment; unfortunatly with the Senate held by Reid and the Democrats, there is no way any articles of impeachment will reach the floor, let alone be considered without Reid simply tabling them.

      During a teleconferencing event one evening this past week, I listened to Senator Steve King. He said no one will touch impeachment proceedings against Obama, because they remember the difficulties back when Clinton was president.

      That gives me no hope of impeachment unless more dirt is uncovered, so we need to focus on 2012.

      To impeach him means that he is in the office legally- he’s not. He was never eligible- His father was a British citizen, therefore Obame is not a NATURAL born citizen. He might be a NATIVE born cirizen- born in the U.S., but he is, by his own admission, the son of a British citizen. He should be criminally charged with multiple felonies so that everything the jackass has done becomes null and void.

    Like any carnival huckster, he does not want you to believe your own eyes but rather the ‘latest’ new thing that he has to cure what ‘ails you.” It might have been new and fresh in 2008 and maybe even 2009.     Oh wow, So our president paid Solyndra to go out of business? Looks like since they knew they had to leave for taking the govt payoff, they got a loan from DOE as well lol. I guess I would make the most of it as well if I was paid off to shut my doors. All this kinda stinks of Islam.
