MOSCOW (AP) — A passenger plane carrying 43 people crashed in Siberia shortly after taking off Monday morning, and Russian emergency officials said some of those on board survived.
The ATR-72, a French-Italian-made twin-engine turboprop, operated by UTair was flying from Tyumen to the oil town of Surgut.
Emergency Situations Ministry spokeswoman Irina Andrianova said some of the 39 passengers and four crew survived the crash but gave no figures.
The state news agency RIA-Novosti, citing rescue workers, said 12 people had survived and were being flown to a hospital by helicopter. The report said 16 bodies had been recovered so far.

(In this particular topic regarding the tragic accident in Siberia, the Blaze has erased my response to MACPAPPY, 4XEVERYTHING, and somebody I forgot the nickname of – also erased.)
To me with my 50-year long experience of living under Commies, it seems the Blaze is in process of mastering Commie-like gagging of opinions that the Blaze doesn’t like.
