Someone Tell Obama the Good News: The Egyptian People Don’t Want Our Money

A Gallup poll reveals that a majority of Egyptians are opposed to the United States’ policy in their country and to U.S. aid packages given to Egyptian political groups.
Egyptians oppose the U.S. sending aid to political groups in their country. This is particularly the case among those who look to the U.S. as a political example. While 75% of the general public opposes U.S. aid to political groups, 88% of Egyptians who see the U.S. as a political model for their country say the same. Gallup
“I expected it to be negative, but I didn’t expect there to be an overwhelming tsunami of negative opinions,” said Mohamed Younis, Senior Analyst with the Abu Dhabi Gallup Center, who presented the results to reporters in Washington. The survey, “From Tahrir to Transition,” is the latest Gallup report on Egyptian public opinion since the ouster of former president Hosni Mubarak in February. ABC
“I think it’s a very healthy reaction to the past 30 years,” said Younis, who argued that Egyptians have long perceived U.S. aid to be the reason why Egypt can’t make its own decisions politically, and why Egyptian “aspirations and desires on the ground are not reflected in the way the country is governed.” ABC
Around 1,000 Egyptians aged 15 and above took part in the poll — which aims to track Egypt’s transition towards democracy — in various parts of the country, between late March and early April. M&C
Two-thirds of respondents in the survey also said their opinion of the U.S. leadership would significantly improve if the U.S. would pressure Israel to halt settlement expansion in the Palestinian territories. ABC

Report Post »I forsee hiliary clinton once again in the state department making another attempt to find a concensus with the egyptians on some kind of ground, only if it fits into the social-political aspect of things. More than likely, the state department will team up with the egyptian military, since thats the only entity willing to speak to the US.
It would probably be in terms of military weapons, since it’s this administrations ultimate goal, to whipe isreal off the map, so supplying the egyptians with more military aid will increase the threat to isreal. If the muslim brotherhood do come into power in egypt, with a new supply of military weapons, no-one will have to ask egypt to fire first against isreal, while the marxist in chief, with his liberation theology minded ways, will not even lift a finger to help isreal, except to push the big red button and in the end, the marxist in chief doesn’t care for the muslim world at all, except to make them turn into useful idiots.

The “powers that be” in the world intend to topple the US by refusing US Currency for payment of debts. If the US Dollar ever ceases to be the currency standard for the world (which IS happening), our economy is DONE, folks. DONE. Period.
We owe TOO MUCH. We consume more than we produce and we owe too much to ever dig out.
We borrow the majority, if not ALL of the money we borrow, from China in order to support an entitlment-minded society. We pay for food stamps, welfare payments, SSI benefits, Medicare, Medicaid, etc, etc with borrowed money. Add to that all of the other spending going on. All of the aid around the world. Two wars to be financed.
We can barely pay the interest and keep our noses abve water as it is. We‘ve gotten in so deep we will drown if the US Dollar ceases to be the world’s currency standard.
The politicians don’t want us to realize that any of this is happening.
If you are a praying person, pray that the dollar doesn’t fall and that God will heal our nation. Pray that God will prevent lawlessness in our streets.

Disrupting an existing dysfunctional, though largely stable and predictable, relationship without any known entity to replace it never seems quite the path to take. It’s like quitting a $100k a year job to wait around whistling dixie for the next one to show up. Let’s ask Israel how their gas supply is coming along in the wake of the whole “democracy in action” activity. No good deed goes unpunished, eh, White House?

If we have any of our subs in the Mediterranean we can make some silica sand into glass pretty darn quick.
