Updated: Rapper ‘Soulja Boy’ Insults the Military & the FBI, then apologizes

With the 10th Anniversary of the murderous attacks on America looming and tens of thousands of U.S. troops fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, it seems strange that a rapper named “Soulja Boy” would release a song called “Let’s Be Real” that contains insulting lyrics like:

“F— the FBI and the Army troops
Fighting for what?
B—-, be your own man
I’ll be flying through the clouds
With green like I’m Peter Pan”

Those are the actual lyrics from a new single from 21-yr-old Soulja Boy aka DeAndre Cruz Way.

As one might imagine, this “song” is generating considerable anger among the substantial community of military families and veterans. There is already an online petition to ask Armed Forces Exchanges to stop selling all Soulja Boy merchandise and music. (Full disclosure – I have signed this petition on behalf of my friends and family serving and fighting for our freedoms all around the world.)

Rapper Soulja Boy Insults U.S. Troops

Retired Marine Fred Flores told TMZ:

“He should apologize to ALL armed forces. [The rap] is very irresponsible.”

There is also a response video to “Let’s Be Real” from a reported combat veteran named Sgt Dunson. Dunson’s answer to Soulja Boy makes it clear, he’s demanding the rapper “Change Yo Name.”

(Content warning. This clip contains raw and coarse language)

Sgt. Leo Louis Dunson is no longer a member of the U.S. Military, he is currently chasing his dream of becoming a star in the hip-hop/rap world.

Yahoo News is reporting that Soulja Boy’s representatives refused to answer requests for comments about the anger being generated by “Let’s Be Real.”

Could it be that Soulja Boy is not interested in what the military or their families think of his new release? Perhaps he has other problems.

According to sales reports, the military families are not the only ones shunning Mr. DeAndre Way (aka Soulja Boy). The album he released last December did not exactly blast out of the blocks. In its debut week, “The DeAndre Way” managed to sell only 13,360, putting it at #79 on the charts. Not exactly a success.

The brilliant Michelle Malkin brings us news that Soulja Boy didn’t really mean what he said in his song.

So, the foul-mouthed rapper “Soulja Boy” told American soldiers to go “f**k” off in a new rap video and insulted them for not being real men.

Now, he says he didn’t really mean it — and, in fact, the reason he said “f**k” our “Army troops” is that he cares about them so much and respects them and just wants them home. Really.

Malkin published the official apology from Soulja’s camp:

As an artist, I let my words get the best of me. Sometimes there are things that we feel, things that we want to express, and when we put them on paper and speak them out loud, they can come out wrong. When I expressed my frustration with the US Army, not only did my words come out wrong, I was wrong to even speak them. So, I write this to give my sincerest apology to all members of the United States military services, as well as their families that were offended by my most recent lyrics.

…In no way would I ever want to offend those who are protecting our freedoms … a lot of homeboys who I grew up with, a lot of people who come from the neighborhoods we live in … In no way do I want to hurt any of our honorable soldiers who put their lives at risk, regardless of how they feel about the two wars we fight in. I am just frustrated that we haven’t been able to bring you all home quick enough and my frustration got the best of me. I am deeply sorry.

Ms. Malkin’s latest column introduces another response from US Army soldier Stephen Hobbs serving in Afghanistan.

(Mr. Hobbs’ song also uses the language of the streets and a content warning is required – a STRONG LANGUAGE warning)

H/T – Michelle Malkin

I would respect him so much more if he stood by his comments and didn’t shrink and apologize like a coward. If you believe it, stand by it. I stand for what I believe and you couldn’t get me to apologize under pain of death for it.

Less than one percent of the U.S. population makes a decision to join our volunteer force to protect and serve America, this includes taking the Oath of Enlistment which states obeying the lawful orders of the leaders and officers appointed over us, no matter if we agree or disagree, moreover, we protect American’s right to freedom of speech. Although I disagree with his choice of words while excersising his right with his lyrics and do think it’s an insult to our elite Army force, I’ll keep protecting that right while I serve.

We the military quietely do our job with honor and sacrifice. We weren’t issued a family but our families do serve with their military spouse/parent, so even though Soulja Boy made a mistake, as an active duty Air Force member, I accept his apology on behalf of myself and my family because I’m better than any insulting words. Sometimes, military members make mistakes, so do celebreties… we all make mistakes. Soulja Boy spoke/sang before he thought and didn’t think he was going to make such an impact. I don’t think his charities on top of his apology are needed for our elite professional military. His simple apology will suffice for me. Unfortunately for him, the damage is done. He recognized his mistake, now let’s move on. We wouldn’t be the professional elite military force America has to offer without being able to accept an apology from one our own citizens we help protect. It’s simple, make a conscious effort not to purchase his mate

I posted once under another story, but never saw it posted online that AMERICA has not had race problems in over 40 years, almost 50 years or more to tell the truth. Ugly, ignorant, hateful and hate-filled people have had race problems and have promoted racial differences. WE THE PEOPLE have NOT done that, been that way or acted that way. Since the importation and positioning (I refuse to believe he was honestly elected) of this president, more hateful rhetoric and ugly, vile speech has flown from hateful mouths than in over four decades. And, guess which side (left) they are spewing from? satan is alive and well in party “demigodless”.

The man about whom this article is written is nothing more than a two year old child showing off because his promoters are saying, “Oh, look. Isn’t he cute?”

NO, he is not cute. NO, he is not talented. YES, he is hateful and hate-filled.

Just think, leftists and atheists, you will spend eternity listening to this drivel along with hourly speeches by the noman and more chiding by joeboybiddun, daily run-ins with hillary and nancy and all the cute congressional favs. moochie will be monitoring your forever-after feedings.

I believe the saying is “keep it real”.

To “keep it real”, you would have to get to a point of being real, before you can keep it there.

Real would mean that you have to realize a few things.

12% of our population is committing just under 50% of the nations murders

same population commits 75% of armed robberies and 60 percent of rapes

same population sees 7 of ten babies born to single parent homes

same population sends more men to prison than to college

same population aborts more babies than any other race (study Margret Sanger – the hero of Hillary Clinton)

same population has the highest percentage of their population on welfare

of this same population, over 95% voted for Obama – Keep it real, rock the vote, get jiggy with it,……

Are you afraid to be branded? Many “White” Americans are afraid to speak out against such buffoonery because they will be branded as racist. I need not recite the same statistics as RANGERP, and speaking truth never makes you a racist.

We have become a nation of cowards wanting always to be politically correct. Speaking a verifiable truth that doesn’t fit the leftwing ideology somehow makes you a racist, it doesn’t. Wake up, stand up and speak up!

State facts and they will call you racist but continue to do so and don’t just do it on a blog like this. The sad state of affairs is that many parents who are speaking out against this are allowing their children to listen to the very garbage they are opposed to. “I just want them to make up their own mind, I want them to be able to freely express themselves.” Nonsense, you are the parent you are the one who instructed to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Prov. 22:6 If your four year old child is playing in or near the street you tell them NO, because you don’t want them to get run over. You don‘t let them express themself by playing in the street because you know it’s harmful. This filth is just as harmful, if you have allowed it, it’s time to take inventory and clean up and take out the trash!

Thats right ranger all you have to do is give the facts. They speak for themselves. When are people going to wake up. The best societies are the ones that remain free from multiculturalism. We should be fair and honest in our dealings with other races and we can treat them in a manner that is acceptable to God without “making marraiges” or mixing with them. Seperate, doesn’t even have to be equal you can give them more for all I care….we all know what it would look like anyway after 3-4 generations. I will stay far away, out in the northern woods. Multiculturalism, and PC are just weapons being used to destroy our heritage and religion. I pray that my brothers and sisters wake up.

What this ****** does is no less than just plain tribal chanting that is commonly performed around the village campfire in the jungles.

It’s not even bad poetry; it’s no poetry at all and illustrates a backward step in evolution to anyone who can glean anything from it.

I don’t find the above chant offensive personally. It’s just something I would expect from a souless fool who has zero talent and makes money only because he can appeal to fools in this society who are still mentally in the jungle living a primitive existence.

It makes no sense to me how anyone would find these chants appealing, just as it’s difficult for me to understand how anyone could find satanic ritual or witchcraft appealing.

More than anything, however, this tells us that it’s way past time for us to cull the herd. I would vigorously support gving this dork and his followers a large enclave and building a 100 foot wall around it.

There is truth to what you say, but not only rap. Study some of the early hard rockers (like Hendrix). they literally traveled to Africa to study the Voo Doo beats. They call it devil music for a reason. Not being sarcastic, but if you look at films of tribal rituals going on in the most remote areas of Africa, and see how they dance around and act, then look at a modern day rap music video on MTV, they will look about the same.

Especially when it comes down to understanding the creativity, wit and poetic structure along with story telling skills to write down a “real hip hop” song. Appears that he is not to be the best speller either (neither am I)

the whole thing is kind of sad when you put it in persepctive. Democrats found out that they could not keep them as slaves, so they keept them from voting, and used Jim Crow laws to control them. When republicans forced change, and dems no longer could stop blacks from voting and being heard, they pulled a slick one, and became the wolf in sheeps clothing, offering programs, welfare, food stamps…. they knew that if they could destroy the black family, they could keep blacks on their new plantation.

Now you have generations of black males growing up with out a man in the house to look up to. Thus the reason they have fallen in love with the gangster image. they want something strong to emulate, unfortunately, they have picked something that is weak, and leads to destruction. We need a Fred Douglas of sorts these days.

Does this come as a shock? if so, your head is in the sand.

I place rap, hip hop, all under the umbrella of rock music. there is a reason folks used to lump rock and roll with drugs and sex. All three are tied to rebellion. Many on here do not like anything said about rock music, but you can not debate it, it is a music that is mean to offend and be rebelious. You will notice that when the big liberal hippie movement started in the sixties, it was very tied to music and drugs such as acid. the knuckle head politicians destroying our nation today are those same rebellious hippies from the sixties.

Even back in the early days, the underline message of rock was never be a good citizen, stay in school, love your nation and family. Just like the rap music, it always puts “me” first, and praises the imorale.

rap music is just a more sinister form of rock. the most sang (if you call it singing) about occupation in rap is not doctor, lawyer, preacher, soldier, teacher….. It is the pimp. It promotes selling drugs, violence against authority, violence against women….

the sad thing, is that there is not shortage of conservative folks on the blaze whose kids are jamming out to the heathen rap music every day. The filth is not allowed in my house, nor are my children or anyone in my house allowed to listen to it (along with the rock and hip hop).

Here we have a guy name Rayblue, who is severely retarded.
Trying to battle another wack rapper who got him started.
Up on his mom’s computer typing with only one finger from each hand.
Before he runs to mommy for her to pop in the DVD movie “Sam I Am”.
But Rayblue lets lose of his rage while out of control.
Sitting against the wall with his helmet, mad because he is slow.
You can say he is a head banger, banging his head with raging anger.
Still a virgin at age 40 so he ask his mom if he can “BANG HER”.
But props at Rayblue for his attempt to showcase his rhyming abilities.
As we support him with our tax money through Social Security Disability.

As with those males who have protested and denigrated our military – going way back to the 1960′s – I believe that it primarily comes down to an immature, unmanly fear of serving their country. They are selfish, self-centered, with a definite sense of entitlement – and want to run and hide. Therefore, to rationalize their behavior and action, they ridicule that which they most fear.

Does this make you proud are are you stuck on being proud of your race? If you had been born a rat, I suppose you would be proud of that too. You set some pretty achievable goals for your self.

ENOUGH! Enough of the demanding apologies from people. He said it. He must have meant it. Take him at his words or in this case his lyrics.

Just like the Hoffa Big Labor story, stop with demanding apologies.

He said what he meant and he meant what he said. Enough said.

No more apologies because your apologies are lies

Exactly, their first words are their true feelings. The apologies are worthless damage control.
