Fox News Exclusive: Sources Describe Bin Laden’s Cowardly Last Moments in Compound

Fox News reports:

Sources involved in the operation that took down Usama bin Laden told Fox News the terrorist leader acted “scared” and “completely confused” in his final moments, “shoving his wife” at the Navy SEAL who ultimately shot him.

The information helps clarify the conflicting details about what exactly happened toward the end of the 40-minute raid on bin Laden’s northern Pakistan compound. Sources who were part of the mission said bin Laden acted in a “cowardly manner” when confronted. Fox News has also learned that while bin Laden was unarmed, he was standing near the door within reach of two weapons — an AK-47 and a Makarov handgun that are now in U.S. custody. The handgun is a 9mm semi-automatic Russian pistol, standard issue in the Russian military until 1991.

Here’s what happened when the SEALS started taking shots at bin Laden:

Another source familiar with the operation said the first shot fired at bin Laden, when he poked his head out of his bedroom, missed. That detail was first revealed by Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., based on information he got during a classified briefing to members of Congress. Afterward, two different SEALs fired on bin Laden, one hitting his chest and one hitting his forehead.

    Wait…wait. I keep hearing on this site that osama is still alive, or has been dead for years. And…and…and this is all a big conspiracy and we can‘t believe anything and they’re hiding blah, blah, lah, and DNA, and pictures and blah blah. If any of that’s true, then the SEALs aren’t heroes, they’re liars.

    I’d really like to know who to believe…the fringe…or the SEALS.

    I would have like to see him captured, brought to the United States, marched to the highest floor of a sky scraper to a modified fire proof room with a plate glass window, filled with mattresses, soaked in gasoline to await someone to throw in a highway flare and watch what happens. The old “eye for an eye” type of punishment sound like a more fitting punishment for this muslime than putting him to sleep with a round through the head, now does’t it?

    Let’s see – his compound is raided by heavily armed killing machines and he looked “completely confused”? Ummm, ya think? I agree using his wife as a human shield was cowardly, but I can’t say I blame him… it would have been anybody within his reach without regard (it just happened to be his wife) as I’m sure his first thought was to create a diversion long enough to get a gun in his hands… so while it was cowardly, it was actually a pretty smart move on his part.

    To the SEAL who missed him – shame shame shame – He has just gone from having my infinite respect, to only having my infinite respect minus 1 point. :) Just kidding – I have nothing but the utmost respect for the SEALS (and all military personnel not named Nidal Malik Hasan or Barak Hussein Obama). I can’t wait till SOCOM 5 comes out for the PS3 – now with the UBL kill raid!

    OBL was obviously scared because he knew that Big-Cheese obama was back in D.C., in the air-conditioned situation room – sipping a latte, nibbling on arugula finger-sandwiches, posing for “action” photos and preparing to take credit for “Geronimo” (after a busy day of taxpayer-funded golf, of course). OBL’s fear and confusion had nothing to do with the Navy SEALs coming at him, guns blazing.

    You know I have read so many different stories on how the raid went down, I don’t who or what to believe. I wish we had a reliable source. Perhaps in 50 years when they choose to declassify this we may really know what went on! So until then may the speculation continue.

    I think I’ll wait to read about this in the history books in about 20 years…maybe then they’ll get the story straight…’till then I’m not going to continue to try and sort out all the versions and the ever changing “facts”.

    I’ve had enough of this never ending story with the ever changing facts…wake me up when Obama and his media whores have got their lies finalized…’till then, I’m climbing out of this particular Rabbit Hole.

      The conflicting reports, the video feed blackout, the getting rid of the body, it does not make sense. To think that Obama is baffled by the distrust of the American public towards his administration is just dumb.

      The issue for us until the facts clear up, is to keep our eyes and ears open be bold, and be smart. Obama probably wants the existence of conflicting data, using the mainstream media to paint anyone who would dare question very suspicous information coming out of washington, as conspiracy nut jobs waiting for the UFOs to land.

      The mainstream media is showing its might by once again painting their enemies however it pleases them by controlling the rhettoric, and essentially the very argument itself. Not to mention it is keeping the poor economic news on the DL.

      It really seems overwhelming sometimes. When enough people call you an idiot or a crazy on TV, you just might start to believe it yourself.

      Did you hear the one about the SEAL who found Bin Laden, it only tookk him 2 seconds to finish the job, but it took him an hour to clean all the poo off his boots.

      I imagine the last thing going through Bin Laden was that afternoons lunch.

      He did scream like a girl, but then again he was dressed like one.

      As his mom always said, Osama, always make sure you have clean underwear on, you never know when a SEAL will come visiting.

      One AP source stated the SEALS entered with concussion grenades (which is extremely likely) and it would cause the “scared and completely confused” description given, though likely he would have been the first of those no matter the entry! This info was evidently ascertained from one of the 3 living wives of OBL interrogated by the Pakistan government. I am sure they are probably interrogating them intensely with a lounge chair and umbrella drink, given Pakistan’s cooperation to date! Of course our CIA was not allowed in these interrogations…surprise, surprise. At some point, the knuckle-dragging politicians in Washington may want to look at WHY we are still calling this corrupt government an ally and providing them roughly 4 billion yearly in aid! In any event, ‘Adios’ to the evil OBL. Now let’s get someone who will define what the exit strategy is in the Middle East. The financial cost and loss of valuable personnel needs to have a benchmark for victory or loss and start focusing on our porous borders!
