Sources say that Rep. Michele Bachmann has closed a deal to publish a memoir this fall. According to The New York Times, Sentinel, a conservative imprint of Penguin Group USA, has purchased the book:
Ms. Bachmann, a Tea Party favorite who announced her presidential candidacy during the Republican debate on Monday, has been shopping her memoir for weeks, meeting with several New York publishers to discuss a possible deal.
The book is tentatively expected to be released this fall. John Fund, a columnist for the Wall Street Journal, will assist with the writing of the book.
Sources familiar with the arrangement claim that the book will be mostly biographical, exposing readers to Bachmann’s thoughts on economic and policy matters. The timing of the book’s release is likely strategic, considering the congresswoman’s recent announcement that she will be seeking the American presidency next year.
The publisher currently has no comment on the alleged deal.

Posted on June 17, 2011 at 8:43pmI can happily see a Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann ticket. I will vote and support such a ticket. Sarah Palin will support this ticket also.
These three politicians are the real deal – true and loyal Americans that support the constitution! Let’s make sure Obama is a one term President.

Report Post »Rick Perrys attendance at the 2007 Bilderberg meeting makes his “true and loyal American” status a little questionable, and Michele Bachmanns support of the Patriot Act, which is a blatant violation of the Fourth Amendment ruins her Constitutionality record.
I do agree 100% that we should make sure that Obama is a one term President.
The real Constitutional candidate and true and loyal American is Ron Paul.

Posted on June 17, 2011 at 8:24pmChilly,
Report Post »I’m not making excuses for bad behavior (I’m unfamiliar with the throwing things at Hannity incident) but I do understand Ron Paul supporters’ frustration with Hannity (and Rush, Glenn, Levin, and others) and it’s true that these “conservative” commentators are not conservative enough when you put their opinions on individual liberty and foreign policy to the ultimate comparison of conservative values – Thomas Jefferson. Ron Paul holds up well in that comparison.
In actuality Hannity and Rush have been very disrespectful and even slanderous towards Ron Paul, using terms like “kook” or completely ignoring him. Ron Paul is anything but a kook. If you look at his character, virtue, intelligence, and consistently constitutional voting record, and the fact that he has been ranked as the most conservative member of Congress for years, you have to ask yourself why these guys don’t like him. As a former fan of all of them (there is still some hope for Glenn) I now see that they are really closer to big-government neocons than Constitutional Conservatives.

Posted on June 17, 2011 at 8:52amAnd I very much agree with “tower7femacamp” that the Polls you are reading regarding Michelle Bachmann’s true position in this race are heavily distorted by Dem operatives and liberal “Republicans”. Ask the 40 million Evangicals in this country and the broad middle section of the American electorate which will vote and support Bachmann at the drop of a hat. They like RHINOS like Romney because he buys into that Cap and Mitt man-made global warming scam…….so they skew the polls. Same will be true of Perry. But in the end Bachmann will do just what Reagan had to do when up against similiar forces. She will win by appealing to the public. She will win by sheer force of integrity and honesty.

Posted on June 17, 2011 at 8:42amThis thread is full of Move On operatives. You can always tell who Leftists fear the most. They tell you by the intensity of their attacks. This doesn’t surprise me. They genuinely fear Bachmann and they should fear Bachmann as should the misnamed “moderate” liberals in the Republican party.
Both arre unraveled by her appeal to the public and her unabashed integrity and honesty. They are beside themselves that even reporters in their locked in MSM have come out in favor of her. So they attack her with rediculous lies to ludicrous to repeat.
Make no mistake about it. This is a battle between the forces of good and evil. The likes of Michelle Bachmann is something they’ve never had to cope with before. She is more than a woman. She is a righteous force which will eventually overturn them.

Posted on June 17, 2011 at 9:07amWe NEED an Alan West or Chris Christie. Proven records, commanding presence, proponents of small government and individual freedom.
In lieu of that, give me a Sarah Palin or Herman Cain. They will speak “TRUTH TO POWER.”
With great freedom comes great responsibility. The socialist democrat people want to do away with individual responsibility (abortion, capital punishment, welfare checks for everyone, etc.). They equally are taking away our individual freedoms. If we want our freedoms back, we have to assume much more responsibility – even more than we have in the past. We are going to have to live below our means, we have to spend more time with our families and children; do without the extra income; teach our children better – values, principles, history, general education, etc.; Proverbs 22:6 (raise up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.)
Report Post »We must also reach out into our communities – probably via our Churches, and help to foster strong families, especially in broken/single-parent homes. Those children will grow up to be voting members of our society as well. They will either be a burden on us, or an aid to us. We have to act EARLY. Once their values and morals (or lack thereof) are formed, there is much less opportunity to correct their values, morals, or behavior.

Posted on June 17, 2011 at 9:20amMichell is Very Smart and has a head for profit – and Job Creation!.
The state paid her $900.00/month for each of the “23 adopted kids” she says she raised – they were actually Minnesota foster children that helped work the farm for her and her family.
So it was a win-win situation – foster kids got a roof and morals, and the Bachmanns made a few bucks.
