‘Sperm Bike’ Pedals Male Gametes Around Seattle

This is not your average delivery bike. It weighs 12o-pounds when “fully loaded” and it has a tail. What‘s it loaded with and what’s the tail? The answer to both of these questions is sperm.

The bike transports sperm samples from the Seattle Sperm Lab to local fertility clinics. And believe it or not, it’s not the only one; the European Sperm Bank USA’s sister company in Copenhagen has one as well (see below).

And while one benefit of the bike is its eco-friendly edge, the sperm bank also hopes it gets men thinking of donating their sperm.
