Cheering Crowd and Arena Camera Get Obamas to Kiss

WASHINGTON (AP) — There’s nothing like a little booing to help the first couple overcome their shyness.

President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, were taking in Monday night‘s USA Basketball exhibition game when the Verizon Center’s “Kiss Cam” turned its eye their way. Their image on the huge arena screen prompted the crowd to cheer — a not-so-subtle hint that Obama plant one on the first lady.

Both smiled, but Obama just put his arm around his wife as the game resumed. That cautious reaction brought some boos.

Obama got a do-over later in the game when the Kiss Cam swung back his way. This time he delivered, giving Mrs. Obama a big kiss on the lips. And a peck on the forehead for good measure.

      the media already tweeted that they got called back in to the arena for a “do-over”. It was a total set up, sorta like clinton dancing with hillary on the beach with a camerman handy.

      I think that what REALLY happened was that the cameraman decided on his own to put the “Kiss Cam” on the Obamas and they were surprised by it. Obama didnt know how to react and just put his arm around her. Campaign manager flips out realizing how it will look that Barack apparently didnt want to kiss his wife, reinforcing his reputation for having a cold personality. He sends word to POTUS for a do-over and instructs the cameraman to perform a “take two”. Then the kiss is choreagraphed “properly”.

      Yeah..see VANCY…when Israel was being set up as a state in 1947 it was a violent affair. Not too long after that Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon decided to declare war on the new State of Israel. Israel has won those conflicts since and become our firmest ally in the region. Any objections to that truth? They even returned the Sinai to Egypt as a good will gesture for the peace accord signed by the two countries (well..your Arab spring may put the kibosh on that right VANCY?) . What good will gestures has Syria and Lebanon done for anyone lately?

    .. Romney cant beat this guy, this guy has every network and producer in his pocket. Romney is stiff and unrelatable.. Its sickening, This is the one year the GOP should of put up a likable conservative, but instead put up an out of touch super rich moderate… all the Sleeping Masses see Obama as this great family man who does no wrong.. They dont do enough research or are just too stupid to understand who he really is… The majority of Americans are all about American Idol, not about truth. Well its heart breaking, but America is falling to its knee’s.. its almost done now.       Anybody who thinks that any politician is “just like them” is delusional.

      Most of these people, regardless of political party are nothing like the people in the middle class or poor.

      If a politician wanted me to think they actually cared about normal people, the first thing they should do when they get into office is lower their salary to the average of the private sector. Most of these people will get rich off of some kind of book deal, speaking engagements, etc that the salary they get is mere peanuts. Not to mention the pensions, healthcare and potential “consultant” jobs they could get after leaving office.

      People like us want to buy his books, or listen to him speak. I’m okay giving money to listen to a president speak, but I am less comfortable with paying for his pension and healthcare like you said. And not just his, but anybody’s except my own pension and healthcare.

      Yeah VANCY..not sure what footage you saw but I saw a Bush official approach him, whisper in his ear what was taking place and Bush-to his credit- finished his committment to the schoolchildren in a calm manner so as not to upset them before attending to the matter..a matter of a few minutes I believe. Perhaps my eyes were lying to me?
